   They didn't acknowledge my booking. They need to be taken off Opentable as they said that they don't take bookings from there anymore. Most people eating there are staying at the hotel so it feels like you are being judged by simply entering the restaurant. Also it is actually inside (downstairs) an Ibis. I would only go here as a last resort if it's too busy to go elsewhere but it would be better to go to the noodle place (we ended up here and it was really good and relatively quick) or burrito place down the road.

   Considering this was during the 2nd week of the Fringe Festival, we were very grateful to find a quiet, pleasant and bookable venue to meet 4 friends for dinner. The staff were attentive, patient and accommodating, we didn't feel rushed in anyway (the restaurant closed at 10.30 we arrived 8.45 and only left at 10.15 because we all had events to get to but don't feel we would have been 'pushed' out at 10.30 on the dot!). The menu was quite varied, the food tasty, the portions just right and definitely not over priced. The only suggestion would be ice buckets for the wine (!) - 2 diners had a Rose and 2 had Prosecco and it would have been nice if they could have remained cold - but ice was provided for the Rose...... Wouldn't hesitate to go there again or recommend as something a bit quieter and less frenetic than some other dining places if that's what you're looking for.

   Staff in the hotel weren't aware of the restaurant in their own hotel! The staff in the restaurant weren't helpful or welcoming either. The menu had completely changed from the online version so we didn't even stay as they weren't serving steak...

   Super service. Shame about the menu - they no longer do the extensive speciality/menu as shown on Opentsble. It's mainly just pizza or pasta.
