The only thing we did not like was the attitude and experience level of the hostess who we first encountered. It was chilly and we were wanting to get inside and she was delaying and seemed unclear of how to look up a reservation or something
Our first time there, was seated at a great table (they were able to accommodate my requests when booking this reservation), waiter was so attentive and fun, food was great, from appetizer to the desert! Will be back!
The food was amazing! They really do have the best clam chowder ever! So tasty!! The garlic crab was delicious, only thing is I wish the presentation was better and had the body of the crab on the plate (better pictures! Lol). Our server knew we were celebrating our anniversary and gave us a delicious creme brûlée on the house! Has really pretty views! Service was excellent!
We're from LA visting relatives. First time at Fog Harbor. Beautiful views of Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz. Dishes were nicely prepared and fresh. Requested window table which we got. Highly recommended. I was skeptical because it was at touristy Pier 39 but was great. Will go again. Thanks so nuch!
Great ambiance, food and service make for an awesome dining experience. Coming again next week with friends for lunch!
Paid way too much for a crab cake dinner, only two small crab cakes and a plate full of fries for $29.99! The crab cakes were smaller than a regular size crab cake. I won't order it again. Also, the wine list is not on trend with what is being served today. Not a lot of options either. Other than that, dinner and service was fine.
Good Option at Pier 39
My expectations were higher but unfortunadtly not achieved. The food is incredible but a little bit expensive considering was not as authentic than others in different restaurants.
The dress code is very very relax so you can even wear shorts and tennis... I though was going to be more formal.
I liked it but it is an ordinary resturant.
Went here for a special occasion but found the service to be quite aloof. Our server had too many tables and at multiple points throughout the meal, we were serving ourselves - pouring our own wine, passing out our own plates, etc. Not great. The food was fine - lobster wasn't overcooked, chowder was good, cioppino was also quite good. The restaurant has all of the ingredients for a special occasion place but based on my experience, I would go elsewhere.
Definitely one of the best restaurants in San Francisco!
The food was delicious and everyone was very friendly. Very romantic place.
