Way over rated! Great spot, poor service and nothing special food.
The server was in a rush after a glass of water and drinks he didn’t offer for more even though he was constantly passing by. He didn’t show us the menu when we wanted to add more to our table. Understandable but as a first timer I was hoping for more.
Excellent dinner as always! Our order came out incorrect but the server was awesome about it and fixed it right away. We had the filet mignon special with crab and it was out of this world! Can't wait until it's time to go back!
I live about an hour from San Francisco and go there at least once or twice a month. This is one of my "go to" restaurants. Why do I keep going back? The food, the service and the view. Yes, Pier 39 is "touristy," but it's a great place to people watch, as well as the sea lions. This time I had the "lazy man's" Cioppino, and it was excellent. My server, Arif, was friendly and he gave great service. If you can time it, I recommend a reservation about an hour before sunset, so you can watch the sun go down near the Golden Gate Bridge. I have never had a meal here that did not meet or exceed my expectations.
Beautiful location on pier 39. Server Michael was amazing. Interesting cocktails and food was delicious. Not a tourist trap.
Our waiter was very good. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the sourdough bread. Will return in the future.
We enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere for my wife’s birthday. The Fog Harbor Fish House will be highly recommended by us.
We loved everything about Fog Harbor Fish House! In a city where nearly every meal will cost you at least $40+ dollars for "meh" food for two people, Fog Harbor Fish House was a steal with the quality of the food they give you! Worth every penny, and I couldn't stop thinking about their clam chowder and sea food linguine everywhere we went for the rest of our weekend. You know a place must be good when you continue to compare everything to it! We celebrated our two year anniversary here and couldn't have asked for better food or better service. If you're in San Fran, you absolutely have to go to Pier 39 and eat here!
Great cocktails and food and service and views. Would definitely return
Bernie, our server was great. All good. Food, service, wine, ambience. I would recommend and go back
Service was great and food was amazing! Will definitely recommend and will be going back!
This was my second time to have dinner at Fog Harbor. The food I tasted was all delicious and fresh!! My family and I enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you.
The view from our table was amazing! Golden Gate to the left, Alcatraz to our right. And then the food was even better. Calamari, clam chowder, salmon, tiramisu. Everything was grilled and cooked to perfection. I’d recommend Fog Harbor as a MUST GO to anyone in the San Fran area
Service was not at all what we expected. Our waiter did not get our order correct and we did not have to wait longer for them to correct if so we ate what was served.
The lobster tails were added ($24.00 each without our permission) to the seafood for two were under cooked so we could not eat about 1/3 of it. We couldn't send it back either because we ate a good portion of it before we got the check to see that they were add-ons.
Had a very good seafood lunch on our last day of vacation. Susan really made it special and so did the manager . We will definitely be back on our next trip to SF.
Service was good !! Food was just average.
Expected more from a Bay City Fish House.
We reserved lunch for after our Alcatraz tour through OT & the restaurant gave us a table with a perfect view of the bay and Alcatraz. Stellar service-quick, friendly, and attentive. Food was brought out quickly even though it was quite a busy lunch hour.
The food itself was awesome, the scallops and crab risotto was by far the star of the show. Excellently prepared and delicious! We were too stuffed to have dessert but I have no doubt that the quality would’ve been fabulous. Thanks for an amazing experience Fog Harbor!
Amazing restaurant with perfect views. Service was quick and my glass was never empty. Highly recommended.
The service was not quiet good comparing to the amazing food.
The food here was spectacular and the restaurant is in a fun area on fisherman’s wharf! Would highly recommend!
Cippono very good. Service less than attentive. Trio desert delicious!
Wonderful food, service, and setting. A bit too loud.
Food average view great
We were celebrating a 30ty birthday and they made every moment special! Stunning views, great food and a wonderful atmosphere.
Excellent local seafood, great service, prices were as expected. Decent views of the bay.
Great service and the food was wonderful
Great food, loved the window seat, loved the bloody, the bread was delicious. Clam chowder was the best, fish and chips delicious. Great taste of San Fran, highly recommend
We brought some guests from Manila and it was their first time to be in San Francisco. We had a great experience before that’s why we brought our guest here and for them to have a great dining experience as well. The service was great at first. It was fast and prompt. Our server smiled all the time and even took us pictures using our cellphones. When we were about to finish our meals, it seemed like our server was in a hurry. She was taking our dishes off our table, she wouldn’t care even if the utensils were dropping off from plates on the table and making little but irritating noise. She didn’t even cleared our table to make sure there’s room for our desserts to share. The used utensils were still there and scattered on our table. I didn’t know what was her problem but I felt really bad afterwards. We still gave her right amount of tip anyway.
Beside the Clam Chowder and the view, just another Restaurant.
Angry host, very attentive waitress.
Overrated. Service was pleasant and attentive but the food was nothing exceptional. The chippino lacked flavor; however the spicy shrimp appetizer was tasty. The restaurant was noisy; however considering the location of the restaurant and the number of tourists in this area, it is to be expected.
Awesome! Loved the food!
We were celebrating our 20th anniversary so we asked for a table next to the window. It was the best seat in the house and the views were spectacular! The service was excellent and the Dungeness crab was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience for our special occasion!
This was my 2nd visit to Fog Harbor and it did not disappoint. I had the California Crab Avocado Salad(again) and my mom had the Mixed Grill. The seafood was fresh and plentiful. Service was A-1, especially considering how busy the restaurant was, due to a local convention.
I will be back soon!
I went to get my favorite the bay scallops but they currently did not have these. I was bummed but understand how that goes. I had fried calamari and blue cheese wedge salad. Calamari was ok but not outstanding. Needed to have fried a moment more a little too soft and bottom of plate was a little too greasy!! Salad was good and the wine was deelish! Over all it was ok!! Service was outstanding!! Martin did an awesome job !! I will definitely go back but will check and make sure there are bay scallops on menu😄
Awesome! Keep up the good work - Anthony Licciardi, Associate Director of PR, Advertising and Integrated Media for PIER 39
Just Fantastic in every way. They put us at a great table for my wife's birthday and the service and food was soooo good.
We had a great time at Fog Harbor. Although we had a later reservation, they were able to accommodate us at an earlier time which worked out perfectly since the sun was setting. The views were beautiful and the food was delicious.
