First time at Flyte. Very enjoyable experience. We arrived somewhat early before our other guests Bar area was nice. Felt very comfortable there.

The food and service was very good overall. Beet salad is to start was very tasty. The Mahi Mahi main was above expectation. Service was good but there was confusion on bringing the dishes to the table.

Quite possibly one of the best restaurant experiences we've ever had. The food was very good. Inventive, tasty, great presentation, and just the right amount of food that you didn't feel stuffed. But, for us, the service was over the top.

From the host, to the young lady that kept water filled, to Will (our sever) every single person was friendly, helpful, and made you feel at ease. The atmosphere was buzzing, but not overbearing. The menu selection was just right. We never once felt overwhelmed.

Now, to Will. He was spectacular. We were on a rare date night. He found out and brought us a small glass of sparkling wine. He carefully explained the menu options. He talked with us and engaged us and made us feel special. That alone would keep us coming back.

It can get pricey, mind you, but I can't imagine we won't be back here several times a year.

Food was very good - our waiter was terrible, probably the worst I’ve ever had for this type of restaurant - the reason I will not go back.

Please refer to our latest review on March 5 (we go to Flyte everytime we have a chance). In our view, this is the best restaurant in Nashville, even after comparing with a few other “haute cuisine” restaurants in town. We had another wonderful dinner with new and creative items in the menu. Not much can be said about them, you need to taste them! The people who take care of us make it an unbelievable experience every time, above and beyond the extraordinary pleasure derived by the food itself. If you are in Nashville or come to Nashville from anywhere else, you must go to this place. The value is also exceptional. Although in the range of high quality restaurants, not very expensive, particularly taking into consideration that the quality is tops. Go and enjoy your evening and meal. We can assure you there will be no regrets!

I took my daughter to Flyte for a special night out before she graduates from high school and we were going to a concert afterward. The host called beforehand to confirm our reservation and ask about any allergies or food restrictions, which we both have. Our waiter was knowledgeable, helpful, and funny. He timed everything to make sure we had time to relax and enjoy our food but also leave with time to get to our next destination. Thanks, Flyte, for a memorable mother-daughter evening.

We were so pleasantly surprised by how wonderful our evening was at Flyte. They’ve been around for awhile but we hadn’t tried them and now I wish we had. A lot earlier. The ambiance was great. Loved the dark and cozy atmosphere that still with a modern feel. Could hear all the people at the table which is rare today. Love that. Great background music too.
The staff was very attentive and fun.
Loved the menu! I think they change the menu daily. Had the Mahi Mahi. Delicious! The Pot a Creme dessert was outstanding. Everything looked yummy. Will definitely go again.
Looking forward to using the bar as a stopping off spot after a night at TPAC or the Symphony.

We were visiting Nashville and this restaurant was highly rated. We went on a Wednesday night and the restaurant was not busy. Food was excellent as was the wine/cocktail/beer menu. The menu is the type that has a small amount of entrees but each is done very well and with a twist. For instance I had a special version of corned beef and sauerkraut from a better cut of beef that was outstanding. Service was very good.

We attended Flyte for a Birthday dinner/date. The overall experience was lovely. Our Server was unfamiliar with the menu and just seemed a little awkward. We thought he was new or training, so, we didn’t press the issue very much. On the flip side, the food was incredible, the ambience was exactly what we were looking for, and the wine flights accompanied our meals perfectly.

Hopefully, we’ll be returning shortly!

We had heard that Flyte was testing out a vegan menu and y’all....what a treat it was to have more than two choices!!! Two of us had the meatloaf dinner and the carnivore has the filet. She said it was exceptional!

Now back to the vegan dinner! We had planned to share a meatloaf dinner and the gnocchi. Happy accident that they brought out two plates of Heaven’s finest meatloaf. My tastebuds exploded with the flavors of the tomato vinaigrette that was plentiful under a bed of roasted potatoes and haricot vert/green beans! Both of us were tempted to lick our plates. It was off the chain! 10 out of 10!!! I’m going back for another plate of that if it’s still on the menu this week. It should never leave!

We had the chips and dip for a starter...absolutely stellar along with the quinoa dish..which was just ok and the fingerling potatoes, which were another home run! Sweet potatoes on top of toasted fingerlings...OMG!!

Since we thought we were going to share the gnocchi too, we asked them to put an order in for us to share. Not that we weren’t stuffed, but if you’re vegan, you know how rare it is to see gnocchi on any menu! It was ok. We were so glad that Kevin didn’t hear us order it to begin with! I cook a lot and I think it was made with soy milk, which can have a totally funky smell sometimes when you make a sauce. It was good, just smelled funky. Even the carnivore made mention of the smell.

For dessert, we both chose the chocolate because our waiter, Kevin has exceptional taste. We still aren’t sure he just liked us enough to override our first dinner choice! ;) This chocolate bar of delight was incredible! With yummy chocolate sauce, little crispy cookie bits and some mascarpone buttons, I couldn’t have dreamed of more. It really was perfection!

Chef, please keep us vegans on your menu and please don’t ever stop making that meatloaf!!

Vegans, get your tails over to Flyte! This chef knows how to make us a top notch meal! You won’t be disappointed!

The pumpkin soup was delightful followed by Chef’s scallops impeccably prepared and artfully presented. I really like Chef’s “restrained” creativity and imagination: his pairings work and don’t stretch one’s palate to the point of “what was that about?” Very attentive and informative service from Nektaria. A memorable culinary event in the “Gulch”.

We went to Flyte for my girlfriend's birthday, just the two of us. We had an early reservation which was relatively easy to acquire. I called to confirm and they were attentive to our food restrictions and we were gladly accommodated.
We arrived on time and were promptly seated at a nice, quiet corner booth. Having been greeted by our server and briefed on the restaurant, chef, and interesting global wine list we were pleasantly surprised by a glass of complimentary birthday bubbly. We ordered a bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that ended up a bit sweet for my taste but paired well with all of the food. All in all, the service was prompt, discrete and much appreciated.
The food. Aaah the food! Phenomenal. Portions are smaller, but that was a plus in my eyes. More courses, less filling. Cheese plates, excellent selection. Egg flyte, unique and tasty. Salmon Rillette, in my opinion a bit cliche, but we'll prepared. House Focaccia, delicious. For the entree, I ordered the Duck Ravioli which was expertly prepared and I thought the fennel root was perfect for the dish. My girlfriend chose the Scallops. Again, perfect execution of expertly selected flavor profiles.
Desserts, I'm not big on them. But, the olive Oil Gellato on the pot de creme piqued my interest. The plating was beautiful but the taste, I ugly giggled. Fantastic!
I will be coming back to enjoy this all again. Thank you all for a wonderful expscience!

As I sit here listening to the light soothing electronic music I only wish that my plate hadn't been taken away and that it wasn't empty when it left. I think this place has ruined me when it comes to food. I don't think I'll enjoy food as good until the next time I am here.

We have stated in previous reviews (because we go to Flyte everytime we can) that this is the best restaurant in Nashville. There are a few other “haute cuisine” restaurants in town but this one undoubtedly tops them all. Every time we go, there are surprises in the menu, which is hard to believe because one tends to assume that things cannot be better than others tasted previously. For example, we were not “soup” people at home or at restaurants, but we are now addicted to those prepared by Chris, the chef, with the help and artistry of his staff, which add an extraordinary presentation to their extraordinary taste. We could bore you to death with our description of the creative appetizers and entrees we have tasted over time, but you better go and try them yourselves, because their incredible quality is hard to describe. We have also commented in the past about the excellence of the service but want to state now that this comment does not make justice to the experience. The people involved, such as Scott, Will or Nectaria, are actually not “servers” but “hosts” instead. Although they accomplish the traditional jobs of taking orders and delivering food and drink to the table with excellence, their main achievement is to make sure that all details of your visit make for a most pleasurable experience. Finally, we do not want to mislead anybody into believing that this place, owing to its excellence is unaffordable. Within the range of high quality restaurants in Nashville, Flyte is not the most expensive at all. Therefore, to top it all, the ratio between price and quality makes a visit to this place a high value event.
