FLYTE Ratings and Reviews
As usual, the FLYTE staff were amazing. Knowledgeable about the drink/wine list & the menu. We've eaten here 5 times (I believe) and each time it is always such a fantastic experience. Chef Stallard is a creative genius & I always branch out of my comfort zone with my selections because I know he won't let me down. We'll definitely be back again and again! Thanks for a great anniversary dinner.
New Year's Eve here was a blast. Scott was a wonderful server. Kept our prix fixe menu coming, and the paired wines, to accommodate our concert plans. This is a great concept and the pairings were quite good. Lots of energy, modern feel, great ambiance especially with a group. Would like to return to experience the regular menu though this takes nothing away from a solid prix fixe offering. Visit and enjoy.
Went to Flyte for New Year's Eve dinner, which featured a special menu with lots of great choices. The Nashville Hot Chicken appetizer was flavorful, spicy, but not too hot. The crab cakes were delicious and for the main entre the short ribs were melt in your mouth and sensational. The cake and ice cream dessert was a New Year's Eve traditional preparation that concluded the meal beautifully. The service at Flyte is always great with helpful suggestions from waiters, who know the dishes well and have a masterful knowledge of the lovely wine list. Highly recommended!
Loved the ambiance. Food was served a bit on the lukewarm side so that was a disappointment and it was served a bit too fast on NYE. We had to let the waiter know to slow down the dessert as we were not ready for it. The food was great , but we felt a bit like we were rushed through the courses.
The food at Flyte was terrific, and the service was even better. The general manager, Marc, made a wonderful first impression, and our server, Kevin, as just the right combination of attentive and sensitive about our timing. The food was fresh and inventive. I would recommend this restaurant to others visiting Nashville.
First trip. We always look for new and interesting places when traveling. Flyte was a welcome surprise to our first night in Nashville. The duck sausage wontons were amazing, great start to what would be an amazing dinner. Dinner was the Pork Flyte and I could t have been more impressed by the presentation, quality and tasting of the dish. Service was spot on and timely. Great place to eat.
Flyte has a very industrial atmosphere, but the noise level was low. There was quite a crowd but we could speak to our friends without shouting. Food---excellent. The guys had the pork over white beans and the girls had the mahi mahi. Both entrees were presented well and tasted great. All 4 of us had cocktails and Flyte used top shelf liquor and they were well made. I would have given the restaurant 5 stars for food but the desserts were disappointing.
We prefer the fresh farmhouse chicken, the strip steak for dinner with the roasted beets, all of which were excellent. We also started with the pad Thai popcorn and deviled eggs, which were very good. I had the chocolate panna cotta, which was very rich. They have a great selection of wines, as well as beer and cocktails. Service was superb. They have valet parking as well.
The service was great. It actually started the day before when a manager called to confirm my reservation and asked if we had any food allergies they should be aware of and also if we had anything else scheduled so they could be sure to help us stay on schedule.
Great atmosphere, courteous friendly staff, tasty wine, and awesome food.
Impeccable attention to detail is given to all aspects of dining experience. Bar is especially warm and inviting with a vibrant feel that makes you want to linger. The locally sourced food is off the charts in its creativity and flavours. The fact that Flyte has been on the scene for over a decade attests to how well it is run by its remarkable owners, Scott and Scott... bright, young entrepreneurs whose interests and expertise extend well beyond the restaurant business into the tech and music worlds. Both truly care about offering a unique and outstanding experience to their guests. Very special place.
The food was GREAT! Unique wine selection. Todd was a great waiter and I would highly recommend asking for him. He personally made my wife's birthday very special. Very nice place. I wouldn't recommend walking around the area at night though. Looks a little sketchy. Other than that it's an amazing place great for a special night.
I was impressed start to finish. I had not been in a while and will be coming back soon. There are so many swing and misses in new Nashville dining, but Flyte gets it right. This place should not be overlooked for the newest restaurant in town. There is something to be said for consistency and SERVICE!
We had the most amazing dining experience at Flyte. Our server, Christina, was so great. She helped us pick the perfect wines to pair with our courses and was just as sweet as she could be. The food was extremely on point- beautiful presentation and divine flavor. I look forward to spending many more special evenings there. I cannot recommend it more highly.
We chose Flyte for our 5th wedding anniversary. We sat at one of the 5 tables in the kitchen area. It was very intimate and really cool to watch the hustle and bustle of the kitchen. Our server is also in charge of wine pairing. He was a big help in deciding on which wine flytes would pair best with our salads and entrees. We ordered the deviled egg flyte, the ham and sweet potato mustard starter, radish salad, Caesar salad, salmon and filet mignon. The deviled eggs and ham paired very nicely together. The sweet potato mustard was delicious as was the bacon deviled egg. My husband's salmon was slightly overcooked and appeared to come with Angel hair pasta vs the listed rice noodle. My filet was good but nothing exceptional. My Caesar salad with the hard boiled egg was delicious. I was not a fan of the radish salad but it was something new to try and my husband seemed to enjoy it. Overall we would come back and we would recommend it. The service combined with the atmosphere and the fact that we enjoyed almost everything we ordered made the experience worth while.
The food was wonderful. The service is great. The wine list is extensive. I appreciate the ability to order a flight of something to taste before choosing a full glass. My husband likes their cocktails. We were seated in a cozy corner table. The wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. A very lovely evening. I especially appreciate the relative quiet. We were able to hold a real conversation.
