FLYTE Ratings and Reviews
I maadecthe reservation for a late Valentine's dinner for my wife and me. The food and service were both excellent. My wife has a severe food allergy. I put a note a out it in the reset action. Our server was already aware of it and pointed put the dishes on the menu she couls not eat. We will definitely be back again.
Started with great old fashions. These are real bartenders!
Service fantastic. Great job Scott! Knowledgeable; great wine recommendation.
The food was top notch ; great presentation and the flavors outstanding.
What a gem! Can’t wait to visit again .
Regards; foodies from Chicago.
Everything was fantastic as always. I live a few blocks away and have always enjoyed Flyte in the past and sometimes I forget how great and amazing it is. I would highly recommend Flyte as a pioneer of the culinary scene before things exploded. The fact that Flyte has remained a consistent quality player during the culinarily explosion speaks volumes to its consistency as a great choice for an amazing dinner experience! Go and go now!
Caesar salad was bland at best. The ravioli in the country ham and ricotta entree was mealy; I’ve made better. It was a surprisingly awful meal given the reviews we read before our dinner. The server was great. Overall, we would not recommend this resturant.
3rd time to eat here for Anniversary. This time was a true disappointment. It was obvious from valet, to waitress, to host that they are no longer excited about working at Flyte. The food was still good but there are way too many restaurants in Nashville for just the food to be good especially at this price $$$$. My husband and friend stood outside in the cold 15 minutes while valet left our car running to get it parked. He came in and mentioned to the host that the valet might need assistance but host was rude and seemed unconcerned so he went back outside until car was parked which was right in parking lot of restaurant so basically valet was not needed. After we stood in lobby for quite some time the host looked up and acknowledged that we'd been standing there for a while. The restaurant had called me earlier to confirm my reservation for 6 and that it was our anniversary and would like to do a special dessert for us. When they brought us to the table it was set for 5 people (missing chair & place setting) when I mention this to our server she was like oh well we'll just pull up another chair. So all 6 of us stand there in the middle of the restaurant while this is done. The server never explained anything about the specials, menus, wine. We had to ask for everything. It felt like diner service. After eating meal I mentioned about restaurant calling and wanting to do a dessert so she brought me the menu and showed me the options which we paid for. I was surprised we had eaten there twice before and even brought a couple from out of town because we had always liked the place. The restaurant wasn't as crowded as it had been in past so maybe they've gotten bored with their popularity and this is reason for the poor service. Time to move on too and try something else.
This was our first time at Flyte, and we were beyond impressed. The manager called to confirm our reservation and asked about the occasion and food allergies, which I appreciated since my boyfriend is allergic to shellfish. We were seated immediately, and our server, Kenny, made some great recommendations on both food and drinks. The portions are small, but the flavor certainly makes up for it. I had the Filet Mignon, while my Bf did the Restaurant Week Fixed Menu. We can't wait to go back and try more creative dishes!
The special menu for Nashville restaurant week is very attractive. So I booked from OpenTable on an early evening and came by myself. The white wine tastes great, which left a good first impression. The appetizer with double carrot soup is healthy and tasty. However, I was wondering why my bread was brought to the table right before my entree came...I did't even have any chance to try the bread and it was taken away by the waiter. After my appetizer, every course seems to be in a rush. I would love to spend more time just sitting there and enjoy my food but unfortunately I couldn't. The dessert plate looks so amazing but my waiter delivered it in a rush to my table and all the beautifully organized crumbles got a little bit messed up. Anyway, to me the food tastes really really good and satisfying. However, I care service as much as the taste, so in general not the best experience.
My wife and I dined at Flyte for the first time in an while. Now that we have returned, we will coming back more often. We had a wonderful dinner. We started with a duck dumpling appetizer that was bathed in a flavorful broth. We always share entrees and this evening was no different: we shared the lamb shank and pan seared salmon. Both were well prepared and very tasty.
The restaurant also hosted a large group celebrating a birthday in a side room which was rather noisy. Our waiter and restaurant manager apologized for any disruption during our dinner and provided a complementary dessert.
All told, we will be returning sooner than later.
As usual, the FLYTE staff were amazing. Knowledgeable about the drink/wine list & the menu. We've eaten here 5 times (I believe) and each time it is always such a fantastic experience. Chef Stallard is a creative genius & I always branch out of my comfort zone with my selections because I know he won't let me down. We'll definitely be back again and again! Thanks for a great anniversary dinner.
New Year's Eve here was a blast. Scott was a wonderful server. Kept our prix fixe menu coming, and the paired wines, to accommodate our concert plans. This is a great concept and the pairings were quite good. Lots of energy, modern feel, great ambiance especially with a group. Would like to return to experience the regular menu though this takes nothing away from a solid prix fixe offering. Visit and enjoy.
Went to Flyte for New Year's Eve dinner, which featured a special menu with lots of great choices. The Nashville Hot Chicken appetizer was flavorful, spicy, but not too hot. The crab cakes were delicious and for the main entre the short ribs were melt in your mouth and sensational. The cake and ice cream dessert was a New Year's Eve traditional preparation that concluded the meal beautifully. The service at Flyte is always great with helpful suggestions from waiters, who know the dishes well and have a masterful knowledge of the lovely wine list. Highly recommended!
