Was extremely disappointed in service, drinks and the way we were treated
Our server, Chris, made our experience absolutely outstanding. The presentation of the food was beautiful and tasty. Wonderful ambience. It was my husband’s birthday dinner and one for the memory books! Chris made suggestions, was personable and so attentive and respectful. We returned to Flying Fish because the Red Snapper had returned to the menu. The whole experience WOWED us!
Overpriced, trying very hard to look fancy presentation but food dry and smudgy, check in process a complete mess, got the table 30mins late, at least the manager stepped in to expedite because the ladies in the front were completely useless and trying to look busy. Waiter was good and at least meat was properly aged and cooked.
Accueil suite à un changement de réservation. Incompétence des filles à l’accueil
Le manager a dû prendre les choses en mains
La nourriture excellente et le service aux tables excellent.
We've been going to Disney for years, have seen The Flying Fish while walking by on the Boardwalk but never went in until this weekend. What an AMAZING experience. We will definitely being going back.
Terrific Dinner Terrific service!
My favorite restaurant in all of Disney World! I absolutely love Flying Fish and all of the food. My all time favorite is the Potato Crusted Red Snapper. Our dinner was wonderful, especially our server, Stephanie. We always request her and she never disappoints! Will definitely be back soon!
Love, love, love this restaurant!! I honestly think this is the best restaurant on property now. My favorites are the Potato Crusted Red Snapper, the Lobster bisque & the grilled romaine salad. Bill, the bartender is a real gem and Stephanie is our favorite server. You can't go wrong with Flying Fish!!
Made a reservation with open table 2 hours before and upon arrival hostess said she didn’t get reservation because it was not enough time and it didn’t come through? I never had a restaurant tell me this and I’ve reserved 10 minutes before. I think she didn’t check open table and tried to pass the buck. We waited 20 mins to be seated. She didn’t care or apologize. Food is outstanding though had the muscles, fried oysters, potato wrapped snapper , new your strip and a lobster tail. Lobster tail not worth it, chewy and small. Our waitress was lacking in service abilities but I heard her say it’s her second job. She left dirty dishes on our table, we had to ask to be removed. Our water was only filled at the end and and my husbands wine tasting glasses were left empty cluttering our very small table. The tall manager came around and I think noticed because she came over with water. Ordered a second cocktail half way through meal and it came after I finished my meal, just very frustrating because it was hard to even find her to cancel it. There was a waiter named Jonathan who was excellent! He never skipped a beat! If you can ask for him do it, very attentive and nice! Our tip was 50 so it does matter.
Just average dining experience food wise. Drinks were not even up to par given pricing. Fish dishes were just okay, had red snapper which was highly recommended by waiter. Husband had scallops which again wasn’t great. Overall a 3 in my books.
Excellent staff from front desk, to the food preparation and runners.
Excellent as always except for one thing that I guess some people may like.. My GF and I come here every year and usually get the Tomahawk ribeye for two which is always awesome and this was no exception.. The service was great, the manager awesome (like usual). The only thing that was not to our liking (but might be to some, hence the 5 star rating still) was the bread.. It had seaweed in it (nori I believe its called) and it was weird, and I'm pretty much open to most anything food wise.. The butter was perfect though:) Regardless, we will be back again and again until we are too old come there and walk under our own power:) Maybe those electric wheelchairs will get us around!
Absolutely first class in every way. It is very pricey, but we knew that going in. Waiter knew the menu inside and out. Can’t wait to return.
We ate the bar and the service and recommendations on food were outstanding. Huge Kudos to the bartenders
Much too expensive to bring the family. And after all, isn’t that what a Disney vacation is about?
Yes! I love it! Fish chandelier is beautiful. Staff is always attentive and the food delicious. We shared the fried oyster appetizer which is delicious, shared the lobster bisque as well and it was tasty. We also shared the Swordfish. Loved the vegetables and potato buerre blanc. We were so full we couldn't eat dessert. But I have had the Florida Sunset on a past visit and it is one of the best desserts I've ever had. Presentation is a knockout and then it is just so smooth.
Out for a nice child tolerant early dinner with our daughter and her 7 month old. The meal was lovely and a Disney restaurant is a great place to take kids!
The food and service were excellent. We both had snapper and a chocolate dessert that was simply outstanding. Wish the restaurant was close to our home!
Swordfish was genuinely excellent, It
was a great meal
Great food and service. Pricing was high but it’s Disney so we expect that.
Beautiful restaurant, had a recent update, great menu but pricey. Wonderful wines by the glass and wine menu. Seafood pasta very good, steaks also, very disappointed with the Pork Belly, meat was chewy and not great flavor, otherwise a lovely evening!
Food and beverage components of the meal were exceptional. Every single item, from apps through dessert, was well prepared and presented. Service was the weak spot, with seating times running about an hour beyond the reservation time and even more if the countdown is from check-in. We were one of those impacted by the delay and we were not alone. Our server was professional and proper sequencing of courses was assured by the staff; however, clearing of dirty dishes was haphazard. One heads-up: some of the tables used for larger parties have oddly shaped tops and the bases are very obtrusive for comfortable seating.
Izzy is an amazing waiter and has deep knowledge of the menu and the best wines to pair with.
Great restaurant, great food, great service but too causal of a clientele group for the price. I expected to see more chic. People were clearly in vacation mode with their Disney wrist bands and polo shirts at best. Disappointing in that sense.
It was my engagement dinner, and it was amazing! The food, the experience, and the workers. It was so nice
We enjoyed a very nice dinner at Flying Fish. My wife had pork belly as an app. she is still telling friends how delish it is. Also our dinners were great.
Great Disney restaurant. Bartenders Bill and Josh are wonderful. Attentive and engaging. Know the menu and provide personal and friendlh service. Our favorite stop on our most recent vacation.
Fantastic service & great food!
Excellent experience and service. Food is divine. High end food where you can dress casual.
What a huge disappointment after waiting a year to go back and enjoy this place. All our Server wanted to do was rush us through our meal, kept on wanting to add additional items that we weren't interested in, would stop every time while she was explaining items to us to go and talk to her friends which she made it known! Yea Happy Anniversary to us which was horrible!
Wow. Just wow. Everything from the service to the food was excellent. We’d go back without a doubt.
Joshua the bartender that waited on me was awesome. Sea bass was amazing as well!
We had an awesome dinner at Flying Fish with server Kevi! Dinner for 4, including 2 children 7 and 9 y/o. We started with the Crispy Oysters! Excellent and my son had one too! Kids shared the chicken noodle soup as an appetizer and cleaned the bowl! Hubby had the seabass and I had the scallops. Both were on the salty side but still DELICIOUS and I would recommend both dishes. Kids had kids seabass w/ broccoli and kids pasta w/broccoli and carrots. Both were healthy portions (and options!). Followed by dessert: Smores on the beach, and another that was both beautiful in presentation and a sweet after dinner tasting! The restaurant is unique and fun! I would absolutely suggest making a reservation here especially if you are staying near Disney's boardwalk! Not to miss!
A dog was amazing...food was just ok
Dinner at the Flying Fish is always one of our favorite Disney vacation memories. It did not disappoint this year. Our server was fun and attentive. The food was delicious - the mussels were the best ever. Desserts and wine all make for a wonderful evening. It is pricey but worth the splurge.
This was our 4th dining at Flying Fish and by far our best experience. We mentioned to our server that during our last visit we felt very rushed with our mains coming to table as we were still eating the first course. Our server took careful note of our concern and then executed what may have been one of our finest service experiences that we have had at any restaurant. He appreciated our expressing our concern and made sure not only to manage service flow for this evening with absolute precision, but also made some special touches to fix any negative impression from our prior experience.
Bravo to the team at Flying Fish and thank you for an exceptional evening!
We will definitely be back!
We had a party of 8 (5 adults, 3 kids) and our server did a great job keeping everything moving.
Our server was knowledgeable and polite. Our food was served at the right intervals and was excellent.
Amazing food! We are going back again today!! It’s our third visit in just a couple of days lol! Sooo yummy
Outstanding restaurant and maybe the best on Disney property. We've been 4 times this year and everything has been delicious and service is always the best. Highly recommend the Pork Belly appetizer and the NY Strip Steak. But a must have is the Cocoa Breach dessert! This could be the best dessert we've ever had! Especially enjoy sitting at the bar with bartenders Josh & Bill who are 2 of the best bartenders who know how to make some amazing cocktails! Looking forward to our next visit!
