Flourish Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Had a delightful evening at Flourish celebrating the birthdays of two friends. This occasion was recognized immediately as we sat down. We were given careful attention which was exactly right. I particularly enjoyed my halibut, which was seasoned in a way that did not overwhelm the flavor of the fish. The portion was the right amount for me, filling but not excessive. Am so glad that this beautiful location is part of Fountain Hills.
The restaurant is a great spot to see the city, the food was good not outstanding. We wanted the sliding wall opened, but because one table of people insisted on sitting by the window, but wouldn’t let the windows be opened because they felt it was too cold and because they didn’t want to put on the jackets they brought we all missed out on a great day to have the windows open. I felt also there probably would have been a better time to vacuum other than lunch time as well.
Osso Buco had been cooked previous to ordering it then microwaved. I know this because it causes a drying out of the inside of the veal no matter how much sauce there is.
Shrimp linguine has the consistency of soup.
Beautiful looking restaurant but food lacking.
I have been here before and loved it, however on New years eve it was just plain mediocre.....and in some ways a rip off. Menu had only a few items and a price fixed. BUT NO PRICE ON THE MENU or told to us. WTF is that? Soup came cold with no spoon. We had to ask for a spoon! Salad was just" "OK" . Halibut could have been a sunfish. No flavor and a tiny portion. Desert was ordered at the beginning. Gelato pistachio...served chocolate. Geez.....tip was added to the check at 20% so I had to cross that out. OH BTW they charged for ice in my cocktail?? I am NEVER going back
I was alone for Christmas Eve, so I chose to go to Flourish as it's not far from home. I knew it would be good, but as it was a buffet I had realistic expectations. I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful, hot and appetizing everything was. The chilled shrimp was excellent, prime rib, duck both very good. The brussel sprouts are famous at Flourish for a reason! Desserts also very tasty. The unlimited bubbly made for a festive night and service was very attentive.
I don't give 5 stars to anyone, so a mostly 4-star means the place was great.
If you went here when it was a steak restaurant, you won't recognize the new decor at all - it's a completely different and sleeker look. Briefly, food was excellent - our fav was the brussel sprouts app. The salads were plentiful as were most of the entrees (the halibut special was tasty but smallish). The wine selection is pretty standard for AZ restaurants - better by the bottle but weak selections by the glass. Draft beer was good, and there was an off-menu IPA from OR that was perfect. Nice view, lots of outdoor seating if you want it (heater poles in the colder months). Service was very pleasant, playful and functionally impeccable.
All in all, this is a nice find in the Fountain Hills area. I'm told it can draw a crowd - we went early so it was only ramping when we left. Clearly worth the drive for an app/drink or two and expand from there. Enjoy.
The meal was sub-par. Two of my guests ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pancakes, which the waitress stated was her favorite. When they arrived, there was no evidence of the Apples or Cinnamon. I asked my guest to flip over the pancakes and they did find a tablespoon worth of pie filling looking apples on the bottom of each pancake and exclaimed that the meal was very very dry. For 90.00, we all expected more for a breakfast, other than the majestic views. I ordered the Continental Breakfast which was average.
Beautiful location and view. The night we were there (Halloween Eve), there was live music that was VERY loud. We sat in the dining room at an outside table probably furthest from the music. Food was very good but choices limited. Of the 5 appetizers offered they were out at one of them. Both those prompted me to rated food as a 3.
Food Delivery from Kitchen was slow. :(
Special occasion was indicated on-line and twice verbally. Special Occasion was still ignored :(
Wait Staff was good :)
Arrived Early and was seated quickly at about 12:15 :) Because of the Slow kitchen we were there till 3:00PM
Incredible food and service, with a million dollar view. Dinning room is great featuring a panoramic view of the east valley and mountains. Extensive wine cellar and menu to please a variety of tastes. The trout was delicious and perfectly seasoned, as was the spicy shrimp with homemade linguini.
