Flourish Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I don't give 5 stars to anyone, so a mostly 4-star means the place was great.
If you went here when it was a steak restaurant, you won't recognize the new decor at all - it's a completely different and sleeker look. Briefly, food was excellent - our fav was the brussel sprouts app. The salads were plentiful as were most of the entrees (the halibut special was tasty but smallish). The wine selection is pretty standard for AZ restaurants - better by the bottle but weak selections by the glass. Draft beer was good, and there was an off-menu IPA from OR that was perfect. Nice view, lots of outdoor seating if you want it (heater poles in the colder months). Service was very pleasant, playful and functionally impeccable.
All in all, this is a nice find in the Fountain Hills area. I'm told it can draw a crowd - we went early so it was only ramping when we left. Clearly worth the drive for an app/drink or two and expand from there. Enjoy.
The meal was sub-par. Two of my guests ordered the Apple Cinnamon Pancakes, which the waitress stated was her favorite. When they arrived, there was no evidence of the Apples or Cinnamon. I asked my guest to flip over the pancakes and they did find a tablespoon worth of pie filling looking apples on the bottom of each pancake and exclaimed that the meal was very very dry. For 90.00, we all expected more for a breakfast, other than the majestic views. I ordered the Continental Breakfast which was average.
Beautiful location and view. The night we were there (Halloween Eve), there was live music that was VERY loud. We sat in the dining room at an outside table probably furthest from the music. Food was very good but choices limited. Of the 5 appetizers offered they were out at one of them. Both those prompted me to rated food as a 3.
Food Delivery from Kitchen was slow. :(
Special occasion was indicated on-line and twice verbally. Special Occasion was still ignored :(
Wait Staff was good :)
Arrived Early and was seated quickly at about 12:15 :) Because of the Slow kitchen we were there till 3:00PM
Incredible food and service, with a million dollar view. Dinning room is great featuring a panoramic view of the east valley and mountains. Extensive wine cellar and menu to please a variety of tastes. The trout was delicious and perfectly seasoned, as was the spicy shrimp with homemade linguini.
Has the 3 course restaurant week menu. Starters and dessert were very nice. My wife's halibut entree was very good. I had the Lamb shank. It was very fatty and smothered in a mustard sauce (not in menu description nor mentioned by server) that was strong and did not go with the rest of the dish. Service was a bit off as well.
The food was almost amazing as the view. This is an excellent place to enjoy an amazing view of the mountains and desert with a loved one. I have been here for both breakfast and dinner and they were both excellent meals. The service was exceptional. And the coffee is fantastic.
A perfect night at Flourish. I didn't realize it was the first night of Restaurant Week so had a chance to enjoy a special tasting menu. Chef Richard knocked it out of the park. Would highly recommend for the food but the view is really the most outstanding in the Valley. Great attentive service and enjoyed the wine selected for my by Jean.
The service (thank you Jenny) and the view were off the charts. The restaurant and bar areas are beautifully decorated, so inviting. Their cocktail menu is unique and the bartender was spot on with his standard cocktails too. Their menu has quite a few gluten free options which is always refreshing. I had the roasted chicken, which was tender and delicous. I didn't enjoy the drizzle becasue it was just too sweet for my taste so I know how to order the dish next time. I have heard wonderful things about their brunch so thats next on my agenda.
The food was pretty good and my martini was ice cold, which I appreciate. The view was nice enough. Other than that, it was unremarkable. Our waitress seemed to be having a bad day, because she didn't care much about serving us. It wasn't a bad experience, it just wasn't great. Mediocre.
We've been to Flourish many times. The ambiance and service is always great. Love the beautiful views. Unfortunately on this visit our entrees were mediocre, at best. We ordered the rib-eyes. The meat was tough. Presentation was lackluster. Vegetables were limp and overcooked. The best part of the meal was the dessert. Disappointing.
Started out with Happy Hour and then moved onto dinner. Excellent lemon pasta with seafood entrée. The setting is fantastic and you find yourself waiting to see the fountain from the distance on the hour for 10 minutes. Worth the drive for Happy Hour and Dinner!!!
I'm not an easy reviewer (have yet to give 5 stars to any restaurant). So, pls take that into consideration re my review of Flourish. The menu changes every couple of month because that's how often personnel change there. It's a tough situation - small, out of the way boutique hotel. Having said all of that they are certainly trying. The food is good to very good - glad to see small plates - skip the meatballs. Good entree selection - no issues. Wait staff seems to be the same and good. Believe it or not, the night we were there, the place was full; however, there was a small company having a team building weekend so.... Can't beat the scenery. Wish the town would get their act together re the fountain - people do come to Fountain Hills expecting to see the fountain By the way, the place - the whole place will remain open during the expansion project. Go! Enjoy!
Very accommodating. Serving staff were friendly and courteous. Lunch menu features a variety of dishes with both traditional and authentic selections. The food was served warm and was very tasty with generous portions. Definitely a place to return on our next trip to Scottsdale.
We have been to Flourish many times and always enjoy it. This particular visit we had an outstanding waiter. I wish I knew his name, but he is a 25 year old man who was outstanding. Food was good as always. And the sunset as beautiful as ever. We love having this lovely restaurant so close to home!
Wonderful experience! Starting with the Happy Hour from 2-5p and an attentive, engaging and talented bartender who had some great handcrafted cocktails (Pom Cosmo and local Margarita) through a delicious dinner with a world class view, Flourish should be a destination dining experience while you are in the greater Founatin Hills / Scottsdale area.
