We had a smallish group (5 people) for dinner here and had a great time. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but they had a trio playing music that was a little loud and at times made it tough for us to maintain a conversation. The food was really good, especially the shareable appetizers.

Visited for a dual birthday celebration. The waiter Dustin was fantastic. Appetizer came out far too fast - fast enough that you wonder how it was even cooked that quickly. Chicken in the pasta was slightly overcooked for very flavourful. The steak was seemingly salted on one side but the plating was beautiful. Drinks were great and the liquor was not held back. Perfect.

The courtesy bread was stale - live music was a great touch but noisy kids running around were an annoyance (not the restaurants fault!). The dessert was complimentary for our birthdays and they went above and beyond carving out wonderful birds from cantaloupe. Really salvaged the night!

Enjoyed our second visit to Flour and Vine. Our first was a Zach Scott Theater pre-dinner and we had more time on this visit. The food was excellent and the service was somewhat indifferent, though acceptable. It was not crowded on a Friday night so the noise level was low and it was a calm, romantic setting. It was a little cool for outside, but they have a beautiful covered patio that would be better than most on the right evening. I recommend it as a four star.

We had not been here before and thought we would give it a try. We had reservations but when we arrived, we decided to have a drink at the bar. We liked the bartender, Jacob, so much that we ended up eating at the bar. Jacob is a great bartender and made us some wonderful drinks. I had shrimp and grits that I thought was wonderful. My husband had the pork tenderloin and thought it was good, though not outstanding. One issue was a homeless man, I presume, who was in the restaurant yelling profanities and being kind of scary aggressive. He eventually left. Overall, a good evening and good food.

This restaurant has a great menu with many choices. We were happy with all four of our entree choices. There is convenient parking in a busy part of town.

We were at Flour and Vine for a celebratory occasion and the food was delicious with many choices. We loved it. The noise level was a little on the high side early in the evening. The drink service was a little slow' but once ordered our food was presented beautifully in a reasonable time.

Overall a little disappointed by the food. Had nothing special, was still good but pricey for what it tasted. Super convenient for Zach Topfer though. I think next time I'll go for wine and appetizer only.

Food was good! I noticed later that he Did not give us the happy hour prices - but I didn’t notice until after we left. Not a huge deal - but still a bummer.
Although we had plenty of time - I wished they had worked with me to keep us on track getting to the theater..so I wasn’t worrying about it. We had to rush through dessert. Seemed like our server was just too busy for us although the restaurant was about 1/2 full.

We were delighted to return to Flour and Vine, one of our favorite restaurants in Austin. The staff is wonderful, with a special shout-out to Dustin, who always makes our visits memorable with his great service, positive spirit, wit, and friendliness. I chose the salmon and it was cooked just right, just a bit of crispy saltiness on the outside, but tender within. The flavorings were interesting with the sauce, but not overpowering. A nice blend. My husband got a wonderful chicken dish filled with spinach, prosciutto, and asiago cheese. Very nicely done! We wanted a light white wine and ended up with a Bordeaux Blanc, recommended by our server which we liked a lot. Too full for dessert at the time, we took home their quatroleche and weren't disappointed. We had a lovely evening at Flour and Vine.

This WAS one of my favorite restaurants in austin, but during the first day of the re-grand opening I had much higher expectations. Food was still great, but still not the same as before. Presentation has definitely gotten better and flavor is still there but lacking a bit. Biggest disappointment was service! It was very slow since they hadn't been open in awhile, so service shouldve been a lot better. We were sold the wrong bottle of wine, as well as we sat awhile with dirty, empty plates on our tables, where that shouldn't have happened. As well as I was hoping the manager would stop by the table to see how everything was since everything was so new. Im hoping my 2nd time is a charm, as I am taking some girlfriends on Sunday ( day 2 of re-grand opening) for a birthday celebration. Which I am hoping we have some attention for that, I was celebrating my boyfriend's birthday and celebration and didn't receive any celebration for that either at the restaurant. I definitely think the restaurant has went down in comparison to before.

Always love coming here with a group of friends before heading over to Zachary Scott. I've always had a great meal but this last time was something a step above. Food was amazing. I had the salmon. It was done to perfection. Somehow even the carrots and fingerling potatoes were noteworthy. Darling waitress who put up with our silly humor.

We were greeted immediately at the door by a very friendly staff. The calamari appetizer, was very good, but only enough for one person, as we ordered it to share. The snapper was extremely well done, as it was chewy and difficult to eat. The chicken trattoria was also overlooked, though the vegetable and sides were good. I would go back if I was going to the Zach theater for a show, otherwise I would not go out of my way to get there. The dinner was overpriced for the value, but I guess the rent in that area is high.

My wife and I ate dinner here before a concert. We were probably twenty years younger than most other guests. Not that it was a problem, we both just happened to notice at the same time. The meals that we ordered were nice. My only criticism would be of the crime brûlée. It really was nothing like other crime brûlée's I've eaten. There really wasn't any hard top and the consistency of what was below wasn't quite right. I still ate it all, just don't expect a traditional French one.

Was a little disappointed to discover they had removed my favorite dish from the menu: Beef Wellington. However, their food has never disappointed. Had the Filet instead & it was delicious, but had some fat, which tells me that it wasn't cut properly. Their Beef Wellington was a rarity & one of the best I have ever had. Hoping they'll bring it back soon, as we were told, "it comes and goes".

We came here for a pre-Zach Scott Theatre dinner and decided to sit at the bar. Loved the new menu items - shared a delicious salad, some mussels, and a Margherita flat bread. The new Rosé was perfect. The only drawback was that the bartender seemed to be overwhelmed with tending bar, taking orders, and serving food, so service was a bit slow. We will go back for the food!, though!

The restaurant was some what empty, minimal staff, waiter had to re-confirm the orders several times.

We had a feeling the restaurant was in a bit of trouble, given the minimal wait staff. The waiter told us most of the wine on their list was out of stock. How can a restaurant called Flour and Vine be out of wine?

Overall, food was tasty and a decent option if you are going to Zach Theater, just go early.

We booked this for a special occasion with family in town for a baby shower. We were looking for something that could accommodate a large party, good quality food, easy parking. The parking was fine and our party was accommodated through the reservation (only one was 830) as there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant. The service was extremely slow at each step-drinks, appetizers, main course. We didn't finish the main course until right before 10, as the service was so slow. The food was decent for most people that ordered anything except for the stuffed salmon. The stuffed salmon dish was one of the weirdest flavor combinations I've ever experienced. All four of us that ordered it were disappointed. The salmon and prosciutto was also really over cooked and tough. At 10:02 we asked for dessert menus, and the waitress told us "sorry the kitchen closed at 10." There was no accomodation after we asked, even though we were probably the biggest party of the night, and she had never come by to prep us or inform us before the kitchen closed to give us a heads up to get dessert orders in. I've never had this happen at any restaurant especially with such a large party for a special occasion. You want to turn down extra money? Fine, we won't be coming back. Every check had gratuity of not 18, but 20%. I heard a comment from the waitress to the bartender as I was coming out of the bathroom that she was confident they'd do well on their tip-out after our party. I found it very rude and disappointing. What could have been a special dining experience for a special occasion left a bad taste in all of our mouths. Good luck maintaining any kind of business with that type of attitude.

Flour & Vine is a nice place - glad we went. Firstly you should know this is the dining destination for folks attending shows at the Zach Scott next door or even the Long Center. Case in point during our 7:15 reservation this past Saturday we were greeted by a stampede of exiting diners - only to be the only table for the next 20 minutes. So don't freak out if the restaurant is deceptively slow - it's good. Sit down and enjoy. It also has a very large bar as well and IIRC a great HH. We had the salmon - very good and generously portioned and the blackened redfish. Both of which we'd have again.
