We sat upstairs and had a beautiful view of the Cape Fear River. The waiter was attentive to our needs. We were not rushed. Food was excellent and menu offered a variety of food.
We hoped to be seated in one of the 2 person balconies. It poured, so we sat inside, which could use some sprucing up. Otherwise it was excellent. The food is consistently good and our server was attentive and personable. Pricing is fair for what you get and we took advantage of half price bottle of wine night.
This is on our list of restaurants we frequent.
As we were seated, we requested sparking water, which we learned they were out of that evening. My wife ordered a Kettle One Martini, only to learn that they do not have Kettle One. The bread and pesto was brought out to the table and to say the bread was the texture of a leather strap would be generous. For an appetizer we ordered the Black Gnocchi, which was good. For entree’s we ordered the Rabbit Gnocchi and the Butternut Squash Ravioli. The entrees were truly the highlight of this dining experience. In between dinner and dessert we witnessed a patron take a nasty fall and no staff attempted to assist the woman, despite there being staff just a few feet away (another patron eventually got up to help the woman, who had remained on the floor). For dessert, we ordered the Pecan Pie and the Strawberry Shortcake. The Pecan Pie was incredible. The Strawberry Shortcake was unbelievably dry and stale, though the whipped cream and fruit were fresh and tasted quite good. Insofar as the ambiance was concerned, the red walls with black trim created a strange, American Horror Story-esque feel that I do not wish to encounter again anytime soon. I wish it had been a better experience, however, Floriana left us quite disappointed.
Went for Sunday Brunch. Very flavorful food. Good service.
Started out with a refreshing basil mojito. The gnocchi appetizer and lobster pasta was delicious. Excellent service; not to intrusive and we were well attended to. Glad I made reservations!
Pre-heater dinner at Floriana’s was delightful!
Everyone loved their entrees and drinks.
Relaxed and casual in beautiful downtown Wilmington!
Our waitress delivered us stale bread, asked her about it at the end and she said sometimes when the bread sits out too long it gets hard. The pasta was excellent as well as our appetizers! We would like to come back because everyone deserves a second chance.
first time - we enjoyed it - staff very attentive - good food and interesting
The service was lovely, the food delicious and the ambiance wonderful. Just be careful if eating on the balcony. It’s beautiful, but if it’s hot outside, you might want to consider eating inside where it’s cooler.
Very surprised at how good the food was. The beet salad was extraordinary but the Filet Mignon was better than expected. The sauce was so good I asked for more bread to mop it up.
This was our first visit and we were quite impressed with the server, the food and the craft cocktails. A wonde4ful dining experience!!
The food was amazing, especially the pastas! Service was excellent: not hovering but there when you needed them. We were upstairs, and it was a bit warm, because it was a not evening. We will definitely be back.
Fantastic food service and atmosphere. We got a balcony table for lunch. Highly recommend! The gnocchi and squid ink pasta were both delicious.
We sat out on the balcony and enjoyed the downtown night life! Sunday was half price bottles of wine which was a great list! Food was excellent, service was knowledgeable and friendly. Definitely recommend for a date night!
Had the cutest brunch with my boyfriend. We went around noon and we’re worried about it being too warm to sit outside. Between the shaded awning and the breeze of the river it was the perfect temp. Our server was so sweet. Loved it
Exceptional menu... service good... could have paced interval between courses a bit better ...entre came immediately after salad.
Drink menu effectively creative.
Prices reasonable considering the quality.
One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. The various sauces are incredibly flavorful and the fish dishes, both salmon and sea bass, were perfectly cooked. Husband raved about his burrata raviolis and our friends lamb loin tender and again perfectly cooked. Service was excellent to top off a perfect evening. Will definitely be back sooner than later.
My date and I reserved an indoor table as it was too hot for a balcony seating. Service was efficient and friendly. I had the best scallops I've ever eaten in a scallop and shrimp risotto, and my date had filet in tortellini that was delicious, but was not filling. Overall-:very good.
An excellent brunch menu. Good service and we were able to get 5 seated when every place else was an hour or more wait!
Food and service were exceptional as per usual. This visit was especially nice though because we had a late reservation for a party of five but we never felt as though we were being rushed. Jessica was our server and she did a great job. She even provided a little handwritten happy birthday note for my daughter.
Excellent service, excellent food. What else is needed?
We had a great Anniversary dinner. Make reservations! We walked right in and our table was ready. Our waiter was outstanding and the food was even better! Order the Manhattan; you won’t regret it.
This was our first time eating here and everything was great. The service was amazing and the food was very good as well. Thank you for a wonderful evening. We will be back.
Nice menu with a good variety and all the items that our party of 5 ordered were excelelnt
Floriana is just wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and the service was excellent.
We had an absolutely delicious dinner from start to finish. The capers salad had some of the freshest mozzarella I’ve ever tasted. The burrata ravioli with mushrooms was mouth watering. Sangria on point as well as the espresso chocolate mousse.
Our server was very friendly, great with a party of eight, and our food was served in a timely fashion.
Really only complaint was that they were sold out of many of he entree choices.
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! We had the most wonderful time and tried quite a few dishes, all of which were equally delicious! Highly recommend!!
Great Restaurant in the Heart of the historic district.
The menu is different and everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. We will definitely be returning to Floriana!
Ordered the Filet Mignon med rare and it was raw in the center, could not eat. disappointed that this $33 meal did not come with any starch (potato, rice or orzo) or vegetable (steamed broccoli, asparagus, etc). My husband had the gnocchi dish and was also disappointed. Not planning to go there again.
Reservation for 4 on a Friday night at 8:30. Sat in about a half full dining room upstairs and had numerous servers and hosts pass our table by. After eventually flagging someone down we had a server appear to bring us water and take our orders 10 minutes after we were sat. Appetizers were OK, cocktails were OK. Waited probably another 15 minutes for the server to take our entree order. We all ordered salads, the ribeye, the risotto, and the ravioli. Salads came out and before we could even get close to finishing our entrees came out within 2-3 minutes of our salads. Steaks were cooked to our liking but lacked much flavor, the risotto was crunchy and lacked flavor, and the ravioli lacked flavor as well. It took flagging down a server again to get refills on our long empty glasses of wine. Other tables around us seemed to have a more enjoyable experience, so maybe ours is atypical, but we will not be back in the future.
We were a party of six. Everyone loved their appetizers and entrees. Our server was wonderful, professional and attentive. We highly recommend the lasagna and shrimp and scallop risotto.
Location is amazing and if I go with only one guest I will definitely request a balcony.
The food was good though not great. I had scallops and the cauliflower tasted like soy sauce. The parsley pesto with the bread needed flavor. The bread (not made in-house was to light in texture and chewy.
Another great dining experience at one of our favorite area eateries. This was our first time dining at a high top table in the intimate setting of their lovely bar and it's now our favorite spot when we can't sit out on one of the balconies. The maitre'd apologized profusely for not being able to seat us at our requested table in the small dining room upstairs but offered us a high top as an alternative. It was a grand suggestion and we could not have been happier with our table, the service or our awesome food and wine. We'll be back, again and again.
We felt like we were transported to Paris! Even the furniture seemed authentic. Food was excellent and service impeccable. They even comped our dessert since it was our anniversary! Highly recommend this spot when in Wilmington !
We went here this weekend and had a great dinner. The star is the fresh, in house made, pasta. We started with black gnocchi with a cream sauce and shrimp. It’s was amazing and. It something you see at every Italian restaurant. For our main course my wife had Squid ink pasta with lobster and I had the Sunday Gravy with a thick rigatoni style pasta. The noodles were amazing and the gravy was full of short rib and pork belly.
Bottom line: great evening and we look forward to going back to try the rest of the menu!
Wonderful service and delicious food!
Food and service (Jessica) were great!
The balcony tables were a draw but we had a party of 3 so we were happy inside. The food was very good and reasonably priced. Wonderful experience and hope to return on our next visit to Wilmington.
