Food, ambiance, and of course service was outstanding. Great job Jack! Background noise given the open area and music made it difficult to hear sometimes but did not detract from a great dining experience!
We were celebrating 4 January birthdays. They put us upstairs so we had a private room. Service was great it made the night perfect.
Food was great, loved the Tuscan bean soup just wish it had come w/a piece of bread to finish up the rest of the broth. My coworkers enjoyed their caesar salad and bolognese. Nice wine selection and our server Jack was great!
Had a great experience dining for the first time at Floriana. The service was great and the food was even better. I had the tortellini mignon and it was worth every penny. Can't wait to go back next!
Awesome food and great service. Scallop and shrimp rosotto was amazing.
Outstanding service combined with amazing cuisine.
Food, service and ambiance was top-notch! Can’t wait to return!
Great five course meal with wine pairings. Seated on the two person balcony overlooking the Cape Fear River and the USS North Carolina. Food was imaginative and delicious. Wait staff and management went out of their way to make this a remarkable evening.
My daughter and I came here on New Years Eve to celebrate. When we walked in it took a few minutes for them to acknowledge us but finally they checked us in. After we got inside there were more people coming in. The hostess offered everyone Prosecco while we waited but we never received any. The waiter we had was very polite and friendly, he came in to check on us a few times. The food was okay, there were maybe 5 different entrees that we ate as part of the special menu but it was too many different types of foods, in my opinion. My daughter’s stomach and my stomach hurt afterwards, I think it was just an odd mix at the end of the night. When we left, the two hostesses blatantly ignored us. One of them saw us, walked past us, and greeted other people.
Service was lacking. The reason I wouldn’t go back is because the service was lacking. Empty beverage glasses, waiting too long for refills (or no refills), and never asked if we wanted more cocktails. My daughter ate her entire meal without a beverage because no one came back. Had to flag someone down to ask for a steak knife to eat the ribeye and veal chop. Service made what would have been a great experience somewhat mediocre. Left and had dessert at another restaurant across the street. Poor service resulted in us not ordering dessert or even more cocktails. Just disappointed.
First time here. Food was excellent. Service was good but had to ask for bread service.
Everything was wonderful, as usual! The noise level was loud, but we were on one of the balconies and there were screaming children in the street over a long period of time, not in any way the fault of the restaurant, which is always just perfect!
Really great pasta dinners for us. Meat and cheese board was terrific. Classic Italian restaurant feel. Service a tad slow, but good food made up for it.
Food fine nothing more, small portions and highly overpriced wine list - service was very curt - place was not busy so server was hardly overwhelmed
Beautiful view on balcony, outstanding food.
The staff, food, ambience was excellent
This was our first time dining here and we were not disappointed. The portions are generous.
It was outstanding! The food and staff were great! I will definitely be coming back.
Excellent service, knowledge of both wine selection and each entree.
An example of fine dining in downtown Wilmington! Will definitely be back
Candlelight Christmas dinner .
Dinner entrees were fresh and very enjoyable. Salads were crisp with a simple but excellent dressing. Service was great as this is also one of their best qualities. Our second trip with more to come! We ate in the bar on a high top with linens. A favorite place.
Tender calamari, pasta delicately stuffed with filet of beef, the best lasagne ever and perfect tiramisu. Truly an outstanding meal.
Great room upstairs. Service excellent. Food very good, represented well on the menu. Not a fan of large noodles, but that’s just me. Will definitely go back. Too much more to taste.
mock mojito was okay, just a tad too sour and not enough mint. My one complaint about the drinks are the glasses are tiny and filled to the top with ice. You only get a few sips. The calamari came out hot and fresh. It could use a little lemon and it said it was spicy, but needed some heat and flavor. The marinara was citrusy with no kick. The side Caesar salad was $10 each! Normally a $3-5 add on at most restaurants. It was bagged Romaine with normal croutons and parmesan. They added egg which is strange. Not my favorite Caesar I’ve ever had. The lamb gnocchi tasted fresh and handmade, which I appreciate. However, the food again was very bland, missing flavor and seasoning. My friends Ravioli was good, but the portion was very small. More like an app portion. She was left hungry. The lasagna was good and a nice portion. We ordered Tiramisu and Strawberry Shortcake for dessert with coffee. The cappuccino was tasty. The desserts were really good. One small suggestion. The tiramisu is served in a cup instead of being a flat piece. You miss some of the flavor with missing layers. The cream needed a bit more sweetness. I’m not sure we’ll return. It’s right on the river, so I’m sure they thrive during peak season. For the money as a local, I expect a little more flavor and value for my money.
Food was very enjoyable The portion to price was very poor. The salmon was a very small portion and the spinach and the cabbage sides were the equivalent of a table spoon.
Two entrees with 2 glasses of wine were about $80 before tip. Outrages for tiny portions. I do not plan to return
Francis our server was excellent. Very knowledgeable, didn’t rush us, but always there when we needed him. Food was delicious. We both had pasta dishes and they were outstanding.
Delicious food and excellent service!
Make sure to make a reservation when you are in the area!
Wonderful meal. Excellent service.
Staff seem very discombobulated and inexperienced. Could even make a basic omelet properly - dry and over cooked.
Also half of the brunch menu they couldn’t make.
The food was delicious and the service was great!
It was our first visit to Floriana and we will be back. We tried several of the appetizers, which we enjoyed. Our dinner was delicious!!
Service was great. Everyone from the hostess to the manager were very accommodating. 😊
Food was good Risotto was underdone, but has just the right about of cheese. Have to say, the food reminded me of being in Italy. Service was great!
Fantastic food and even better service! Great place for a date night or special occasion! I had the shrimp risotto and it was SO good.
The service was outstanding! Our food was amazing and we loved the flexibility of the menu. The staff was knowledgeable and asked about allergies right up front! We will be back.
Great food great staff will go back
Once again Jamie's crew has outdone themselves. This is our 6th (or is it 7th) visit to this wonderful venue and the 4th time we've brought a guest (or guests) for their first visit. Susan had her usual Caesar salad appetizer and Tortelloni Mignon entree and convinced our guest to do the same (will she ever try anything else?). I changed it up a bit and started with the yummy Tuscan Bean Soup followed by Venison Bolognese, both of which were outstanding. We dined at a high top in the bar and, as usual, our service was impeccable. We'll definitely be back for more.
btw, the other 3 couples we've brought as guests have all returned to Floriana on their own, as have at least 4 or 5 other couples we've raved to about our experience. Susan commented after last night's meal that her entree is her all-time favorite meal at any restaurant anywhere on the planet, so don't even try to get her to try something else!
We came for Brunch. I’m thinking the dinner might be better!
The service was top notch. The ambiance felt like they were trying out the location but not committing to the space. The food was fair at best.
We were able to get seated out on one of the private balconies on the waterfront side. The ambiance was amazing. My wife ordered the lasagna and I had the Sunday gravy. Both dishes were delicious. The lasagna was a huge portion and very creamy. We will be back!
The staff was amazing. Great service and the best Italian food in Wilmington!
