The restaurant was good. The food and the service was exceptional except for the fact that when I booked the table I was expecting to be seated in a good location but we were seated in an extremely corner spot last time as well when I booked from OpenTable, we got a really weird located table so I am hoping that at least this feedback will be taken into consideration because then what’s the point of booking the table in advance if you don’t get to be seated in a good location if this continues, I might not book from opentable.

The food is good and the service is friendly, the background noise was more for a bar than a restaurant. Will ask for a different table next time. Have to go back for the food.

Flores San Mateo has a nice moderately lively indoor atmosphere and quieter outside tables when the weather is suitable for that. We especially love the grilled Adobo Cod tacos. The scoop of guacamole that can be ordered with the chips and three dips is pricey at $13, but it is one of the best guacamoles in the area. The only real drawback is the difficulty in finding a parking space sufficiently close to the restaurant; for the spaces behind the nearby Pinstripes restaurant and bowling alley, on Thursday through Sunday evenings it is common to need to either park on the second level or over a block away from Flores on the first level.
