Flores - Union Street
Casual Thursday night bite, never disappoints!
I went to Flores with a group of friends. We had reservations, but had to wait about 15 minutes. They were super busy and it took another 10 minutes for our waiter to come to take our drink orders. Food was good - I had duck enchiladas.
Great food and drinks. Area we sat at had a missing light above which made it extremely dark. Unable to read our menu so we had to request some candles. Couldn’t see our food as we ate but we managed. Service was ok. Waiter forgot a few things and didn’t ask if we wanted desert at the end. Perhaps he was new? Other than the dark area and mediocre service I would probably still recommend this place.
Date night with my wife. The service was amazing a d the food was great.
Some friends and I came here for my husband's birthday dinner and it was perfect! The backroom was great for groups, as it was quieter than up front. Food was incredible, and they even included a birthday treat at the end. Loved it and we will be back soon!
The restaurant is incredibly loud. Service was great, but food mediocre
Great food, bad drinks
Great food but crazy loud
The carnitas shared plate is to die for, I keep finding myself going to Flores over and over again even when I’m wanting to try something new!
This place is really solid and trendy. Good food, location and drinks. Would recommend.
Dirty restaurant, bad food. The waitress was good but that’s about it.
Was expecting so much more.
We’ll come back. Excellent food!
Cool place, good food, friendly staff but it was freezing cold.
Menu was small and strange. It was set up like tapas, but when ordered plates they were very small and really not sharable. We ordered the steak carne for two and there were five small slices of steak that were bland. Overall not worth the prices they were charging
Aldo was great !
The food service ambiance were A+ unfortunately the lack of insulation on a cold rainy day made it very cold inside. We never got warm. Would. Not return in the winter unless it was a warm day.
This was my third visit and best one yet. We came with international guests, unfamiliar with Mexican food. The server was super helpful in figuring out how much to order for 8 people. The carnitas and carne asada platters were so good - cannot stop thinking about them! It was great to have a make your own meal with a lot of people; it made the meal more fun!
Lots of fun great food
A vibrant, high-energy place! The dishes are all great to share, and the drinks are outstanding.
Booked a table for 2 far in advance for a birthday celebration. The host seated us at a table that had clearly been added to the normal floor plan because I had to sit with my back about 4 inches away from the waiting staff stand (where they print receipts etc), and there were no lights over our table, just an electric candle. We asked to be moved and they were only willing to move us to another table if we agreed to leave within an hour. After much discussion we decided to sit at the bar instead. Ordered guacamole and it was cold, clearly had been refrigerated and not worth the price. I would not go back here unless I had to.
Food is pretty bad and the beer selection is super weak!
My husband and I had a date night here and we couldn’t have been happier. The ambiance of the restaurant was fun and energetic, the food was incredible (I can’t say enough good things about the crab tostadas!) the drinks were strong and delicious and lastly, the service was bar none. This is our new favorite restaurant.
We had a group of 9 people and the evening was as perfect as I could have hoped for! Our waiter Matt was incredible.
Our absolute favorite place in the city. Always grateful for the excellent service, thanks Yadi, Aldo, and Jess! If you go, you must have the carnitas and esquite, we have it every time we visit!
Our server Dory was such a pro and so accommodating and amazing. She made what was an amazing collection of small plates a very special experience for the evening!!! You must save room for the tres leches at the end too!!!
Great food, cocktails and service.
Food was great. Our waitress was super helpful and great. All in all, a great bachelorette dining experience!
The staff are incredibly nice and the food is great. Would definitely recommend.
Delicious meal at affordable prices in a fun and beautiful setting
Lovely atmosphere, underwhelmed by the food, delighted by two staff members and mystified by a hostile third,
Great place, but unfortunately we only had a couple of cocktails and an app (guacamole) and left. This place is LOUD, so be prepared. After struggling to carry on a conversation, we gave up and asked for our bill. Not only are the patrons loud, but they seemed to have one song playing on and on - sort of like a drum beat sound which made things even louder. The space is beautiful, the staff very friendly and attentive and the app and drinks we had were excellent.
The food is not authentic, it’s eclectic, which is fine, but in this case, it was not tasty. It’s more of a trendy place to be versus a good date night or any night where you want to hear the people with you. It’s right space and dark, which can be fine if it is clean, this was not. I sat on a tomato and there was food stuck to my menu. The bartender also made poor drinks.
Fun vibe. Good food. Good service. The restaurant, when full, is uncomfortably loud. If you are looking to have a real 1:1 conversation with your dining partner, you will find yourselves speaking louder than normal in order to be heard.
Too noisy; food was mediocre at best
Wonderful and magnificent. I always enjoy dining here at Flores!
Nice brunch spot!
The woman host was very bad, not friendly and with an attitude. Just that alone , will not be returning. On the other hand all the waitresses were very nice. Seats are uncomfortable and the food was ok.
Dinner with my hubby and we pigged out it was all amazing
You can find much better mexican food in San Francisco, the venue and atmosphere is good though.
Great experience and service
