Flores - Union Street
Good food, awesome kitchen staff.
Very good overall. We had an early dinner for a friend get-together party of 8 people. Knowing that the place gets pretty busy on Saturday, we booked a table ahead of time. We were seated at a high communal table that we need to share with another party and was told we only had about an hour+ at the table before they have another party coming to take most of the space at the table. Table situation is a bit uncomfortable, but the food, the service and the ambience is excellent. I would give it 5 stars but having to sit awkwardly and feeling rushed .. I have to deduct 1 star from that.
Overall nice experience, but it's too expensive for what it is. Unfortunately this is not unusual.
Food was delicious, service was great, atmosphere was very fun! Perfect way to end our Bay Area vacation!
I would absolutely recommend! Great food and service.
The waitress we had was wonderful. She gave us great descriptions of the items we had questions on and provided some recommendations which were absolutely delicious. The decor is visually appealing and the overall experience was great. I’d recommend to friends and family.
Very good and authentic Mexican food, it is definitely one of my favorites in San Francisco!
The place was packed and really noisy. Definitely not somewhere I’d bring my parents or go to if I want to really converse but it was a lot of fun with great food and great drinks. I’d definitely go back next time I’m in SF.
Went for brunch and the food was great. Wife has celiac and they were incredibly knowledgeable. The server came with a pre-marked menu of all the things she could have and we even tested the dishes with a gluten sensing device and everything was clean!
The weather worked out for my reservation. My date and I had a great experience in the restaurant, food was great, music was appropriate, and the service was excellent too. This place made it to my go-to brunch place list.
We had one of our dishes forgotten by the staff so we had to wait 10 minutes for her plate to come out. This resulted in many of our other items not being fresh. Additionally, the duck enchiladas were extremely salty according to multiple people at our table. Hopefully this was just an off night
Food was wonderful, cocktails were great and the decor is lovely. Great vibe!
Great ambiance and food. Good vegetarian options and delicious spicy margaritas!
Staff was great. Treated a rowdy group of nine, that included two children, like we were small couple looking for a romantic experience. Food was great, good for sharing. Pork was one of the best things I've eaten in the last six months.
Service was great. The food was just okay. I used to love this restaurant, but the food quality has really declined. The carnitas was incredibly overcooked and dry. Sopas were also pretty dry. One person ordered a veggie quesadilla that listed veggies in the description, but it was just cheese. Will be looking for a new go-to Mexican restaurant.
Flores was amazing! The music and ambiance were fantastic. The food and service were great as well. Everything was well timed. The best part is we got a 5 star experience for a low price point. Most entrees were not above $15 which is practically unheard of in SF. We got two drinks, two appetizers, 2 entrees and 1 dessert to share and it was $80.00 ($100 with tip). I can’t wait to go back.
Food was great. Service was curt, cold and unfriendly.
Food was amazing!! Location & venue was outstanding. Took longer to get our drinks than our appetizers. Waitress not super friendly but did check on us.
It was so loud you couldn’t even think straight
It’s pretty load in the restaurant, despite the recently added corked ceilings. Thx for trying 🙏🏽
Our waiter was incredible! He was so enthusiastic and his service really heightened our experience. The food was delicious.
Great food and fun atmosphere!
Excellent food! Loved it.
Like a high school cafeteria, noisy and chaotic. Not for adults.
A meal before the opera at war Memorial opera House
Food is good. The noise level can become intolerable. Young crowd
First, I needed to change my original rez, contacted via FB & received an auto-reply that they’ll get back soon but in the meantime check their website. Hadn’t heard back so I called the restaurant & left a vm. Msg’d again via FB the day of the reservation & again same canned response. Tried calling & got no one - not good impression. However I’d already communicated with my party so I came early. Explained to the hostess, received “sorry about that” but told me she can accommodate my request. Kudos to her!
Waited at the bar, Ramon was quick to serve & made good drinks! Closed out tab & seated.
Service at was good, food came out nicely paced & was asked about additional drinks as needed. Different places were ordered to be shared. Food was good except ceviche was too spicy for half of the table. Request for additional chips & tortillas were accommodated.
Ordered desserts & more drinks. However, once those arrived, everything after felt rushed. In fact the bill was placed on the table without saying anything or at the very least asking if there’s anything else we would like! Oh well guess they wanted us out so we paid up & went to a neighboring restaurant/bar for after dinner drinks.
Was really looking forward to this place but ended up leaving slightly disappointed. Starting with the lack of response to my messages & voice mail to how we felt rushed at the end.
Amazing food, great staff and wonderful environment! Will be back!
Slow, forgetful service
Great food, cocktails and ambiance but the service was a bit lacking. Our entree's arrived before our chips and salsa.
Flores is always a fun place for drinks and tapas style eating with friends. I have been a few times, and normally the service is better than it was this past time I went. We were waiting to order a drink for 10+ minutes.
The restaurant is very nice inside in terms of design. Good vibe and very energetic. Noise level was too loud to my taste, it was difficult to make a normal conversation.
Average age of diners was around 30's.
Service was good.
Food needs improvement. One of the dishes came out too salty, the other one was soaked in Aioli, very simple dishes that are rather pricey.
Drinks need improvement too. Too much ice, less alcohol, rather plain and un-tasty.
We returned one of the drinks twice for being poorly made.
I would not go there again.
Food ok but nothing to write home about. Staff a bit all over the place took ages to get a missing drink. Wine expensive and for California not that great. Pretty average experience. Not sure a return visit is on the cards
Second day in a row! My parents and I found it even more delicious!
Drinks took a while because they had just 1 bartender. They put us a table that was close to front door so we needed to keep our jackets on. Food was excellent but it did take a while to get things started. Also I wish I had known it was family style/sharing plates in advance.
Very good food, nice bar, backroom a little sterile, fine service, great margaritas, Chile Relleno a star, barbacoa, lamb pastor, crab tostada all were delicious
Best Mexican food in Dan Francisco! Try the ceviche big chunks of yellow tail tuna, with good sized prawns.
Cool place. Great food and atmosphere. We had good time there
Really good food. The carnitas is exceptional. Nice neighborhood restaurant.
I love the vibe of this place, it has amazing cocktails, the Paloma Recommended. Also, the corn pancake is really good, but make sure you ask the size because the small one seemed pretty large to me. The chilaquiles are really good, if you like spicy you need to ask for extra spice because they are mild. The hibiscus agua fresca was a little sweet but really refreshing. Music was not too loud, allowed for a good conversation. Our server was quick to answer our questions and was never too long away, as well as not too much there on top of us.
