Flores - Union Street
Excellent food and service - closed by 10.00 already which was a bit early for us.
The margaritas had little or no tequila. I’ve never had that happen before. It was clearly all mix
Amazing food quality. Fun atmosphere.
Consistent and always great !
Really interesting, well prepared Mexican food. Great service, creative cocktails. Just go.
Food was okay not great. Too many other places with great food! Won’t go back. :0(
We were seated for 15 minutes and lots of staff walked by and saw us but no one acknowledged us or said anything to us so we left.
My feedback would be that dinner was great but upon checking in, the hostess tried to indicate we would need to return the table by 9pm. This wasn't mentioned when making the reservation + quite irritating. We were with old friends and didn't want to be rushed out of the restaurant. Would think twice before placing another reservation
I have to say that everything we ate was superb! Everything tasted authentic and made from scratch. I will definitely be coming back and will tell others to come as well.
Our server was amazing, to the level where it was markedly better than good service. Cocktails and food were solid.
It was so damn dark I couldn't really see what I was eating. Holy hell. It was tasty though. But for a sec, i couldn't enjoy it bc it was that dark.
Fun but very noisy - good food and service , nice location
Great food and service
We love Flores!! Every time we visit we try something new and it is always excellent!!
Service is always outstanding and super friendly!! :)
Great place and excellent food. Would recommend for a high energy social gathering, would not recommend for conversational dinner.
Such a great ambiance with Spanish music! Margaritas were delicious
We had an early reservation to have a quiet meal before it got crowded. They sat us at a nice 2-top, far from the only other group there. Then after we order they sit an obnoxious family of 10 directly next to us in an empty restaurant. They had loud, sneezing coughing babies. RIGHT NEXT TO US, IN AN EMPTY RESTAURANT.
Extremely dirty And chipped dishes. Music so loud no one can talk.
A menu filled with very special options like the crab tostadas and the trout
The food and service is always excellent at Flores, which is why we come so often. Can’t say enough good things about the staff; Matt was a stellar sever, and Yadi was amazing as always. They make it feel like home. Thanks again!
Poor service, rude waitress (Sophia) and unconcerned restaurant manager undermine the delicious Mexican food they serve.
Attentive service, plenty of room, received the 8 seats I requested on time, amazing food. Thank you!
Noise is very loud. Great food.
I keep coming to Flores and hoping it will be better. To be fair, I was there on a Sunday along with about 50 hung over Millenials drinking margaritas and sort of hollering, and a few other families and quiet diners trying to have a nice meal. The service was ok, and certainly nice, but it’s a thankless job to serve this kind of crowd. The real problem was the food. I LOVE Oaxacan cuisine, and I ordered the chicken mole (served with a “mini quesadilla” and sunnyside up egg) because I have such fondness for the dish. The mole was bitter and acrid, the chicken was flavorless and overwhelmed by the sauce, and the quesadilla was greasy and unbearably chewy. The Margarita was just ok - too sweet for my taste and not a good deal at $12 for a glass filled with ice. My friend had a scramble with the house-made chorizo; the chorizo was tasty, and the side of potatoes were crispy and tender in the center. It was a perfectly ok dish, but nothing remarkable. There was no spice heat in either of our dishes, and we didn’t receive any chips and salsa (I’m ok with that, but it is odd that it seems the only way to get it is to order a $12 side of guacamole). I think I’m done giving this place a chance - I think it’s best for hung over young things looking to sop up their leftover alcohol with greasy food and top up on tequila. Oh, and it’s just a loud space, with the music turned up a bit too high, a few too many liquored-up patrons, and a slightly too crowded dining room.
Good food, awesome kitchen staff.
Very good overall. We had an early dinner for a friend get-together party of 8 people. Knowing that the place gets pretty busy on Saturday, we booked a table ahead of time. We were seated at a high communal table that we need to share with another party and was told we only had about an hour+ at the table before they have another party coming to take most of the space at the table. Table situation is a bit uncomfortable, but the food, the service and the ambience is excellent. I would give it 5 stars but having to sit awkwardly and feeling rushed .. I have to deduct 1 star from that.
Overall nice experience, but it's too expensive for what it is. Unfortunately this is not unusual.
Food was delicious, service was great, atmosphere was very fun! Perfect way to end our Bay Area vacation!
I would absolutely recommend! Great food and service.
The waitress we had was wonderful. She gave us great descriptions of the items we had questions on and provided some recommendations which were absolutely delicious. The decor is visually appealing and the overall experience was great. I’d recommend to friends and family.
Very good and authentic Mexican food, it is definitely one of my favorites in San Francisco!
The place was packed and really noisy. Definitely not somewhere I’d bring my parents or go to if I want to really converse but it was a lot of fun with great food and great drinks. I’d definitely go back next time I’m in SF.
Went for brunch and the food was great. Wife has celiac and they were incredibly knowledgeable. The server came with a pre-marked menu of all the things she could have and we even tested the dishes with a gluten sensing device and everything was clean!
The weather worked out for my reservation. My date and I had a great experience in the restaurant, food was great, music was appropriate, and the service was excellent too. This place made it to my go-to brunch place list.
We had one of our dishes forgotten by the staff so we had to wait 10 minutes for her plate to come out. This resulted in many of our other items not being fresh. Additionally, the duck enchiladas were extremely salty according to multiple people at our table. Hopefully this was just an off night
Food was wonderful, cocktails were great and the decor is lovely. Great vibe!
Great ambiance and food. Good vegetarian options and delicious spicy margaritas!
Staff was great. Treated a rowdy group of nine, that included two children, like we were small couple looking for a romantic experience. Food was great, good for sharing. Pork was one of the best things I've eaten in the last six months.
Service was great. The food was just okay. I used to love this restaurant, but the food quality has really declined. The carnitas was incredibly overcooked and dry. Sopas were also pretty dry. One person ordered a veggie quesadilla that listed veggies in the description, but it was just cheese. Will be looking for a new go-to Mexican restaurant.
Flores was amazing! The music and ambiance were fantastic. The food and service were great as well. Everything was well timed. The best part is we got a 5 star experience for a low price point. Most entrees were not above $15 which is practically unheard of in SF. We got two drinks, two appetizers, 2 entrees and 1 dessert to share and it was $80.00 ($100 with tip). I can’t wait to go back.
