Start out your meal with one of the many appetizers like the fennel and mushroom salad or the calamari. The restaurant serves homemade pasta and offers fresh seafood options like the capellini and crab and the linguini ai frutti di mare fradiavolo. Florentino’s Restaurant also offers vegetarian options like the pasta con gorgonzola so there’s sure to be something for everyone on the menu at this Newtown, Pennsylvania restaurant.

layers of pasta, ricotta cheese & Bolognese flavored with porcini mushrooms & smoked bacon topped with mozzarella cheese & our red sauce
Haven’t been to Florentinos in over a year, thanks covid, but it’s still excellent! Quiet Sunday dinner and our servers were very attentive yet not overly. Had the arugula salad, garlic wheat bread, chicken Gorgonzola (YUM) and lasagna. Everything was delicious and served piping hot. My favorite salad anywhere and I’ll always get the garlic bread as they don’t go overboard with the garlic, it’s a nice amount. Dessert - the flourless chocolate torte was to die for. I would love to make this at least a monthly thing!
I've been to Francisco's many times . I had to try Florintino's . I wasn't disappointed . Great overall experience .
Great meal! While I was skeptical of using whole wheat for garlic bread, my first bite convinced me that I was wrong. I could have eaten the whole loaf by myself. My husband was so enamored of the scallops in lobster cream sauce that I was a little jealous. My chicken marsala was also outstanding, and the portion was large enough for me to take home enough for another meal. The coconut cream cake was also excellent. It reminded me of tres leches, incredibly moist and with lots of coconut. The waiter was friendly and very accommodating. In short, there was really nothing we didn't like about this meal.
My wife and I had a great time. Food, Service and Atmosphere were great!
From the greeting to the ambience and food it was quite delightful. Unfortunately A few minutes after being seated and even before there was an open bottle or bread on the table we were being rushed to place our appetizer and orders as we were instructed we had to leave at a certain time as apparently there was another reservation shortly following. We had a reservation of four and one in our party ran 15 minutes late. It was really the only blemish that tainted the evening. It made the table of 4 very self-conscious as we rushed to eat our dinner. Certainly never the right way to make guests welcome. In the middle of dinner one of our invitees had to ask how much time we had left before finding out there was no one else coming. I believe the experience could’ve been so much more pleasant if that information was provided prior to us trying to scarf down our meal.
Such a pleasurable dinner and the staff was incredibly professional and gracious! Thank you thank you
We like the fact that it’s easier to get a reservation here than other places. We love the intimacy and the service is always good. But we go for the great food. Of the four at our table no one had a complaint; more like compliments. The Mediterranean salad was fabulous.
Another wonderful meal! This restaurant’s food is consistently good no matter what is ordered.
Loved the resturant
My wife had sea bass which had a little too much vinegar. I had filet mignon which was great. Brought our favorite bottle of wine and had a special anniversary dinner date. The triple chocolate mousse cake was fabulous. We enjoy Florentinos and will go again!
As always food was great! Great to be back. Felt perfectly safe
Our main dishes were excellent even though it took a while to be served. The pistachio gelato wasn't very good. It tasted like freezer. We had it in the past and it was excellent. We would still return.
The appetizer portions were very small and overpriced. Main courses - pasta was over cooked and served with too much sauce.
Great service! Delicious and variety menu! Comfortable setting. Center of town! Save room for the cappuccino and coconut cake! Awesome!
Awesome service. They even ran out after us because we left leftovers at the table. Highly recommend
We had a lovely table in the back, the service was great and the food was wonderful.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this quaint little byob gem in Newtown. Our server was pleasant and helpful and our every need was addressed with courtesy (and I know there was a smile behind the mask). The food was delicious. A little on the pricey side for Italian food but it was worth the price. We'll be back.
Wonderful hidden gem! A small restaurant that doesn't feel crowded. The menu was diverse and the food was great. I recommend the lasagne- the best I've ever eaten. My son said it was the best meal he had ever eaten in a restaurant. The waitress was personable and the service was great.
Great garlic bread and fish dishes. Perfectly cooked!
No complaints whatsoever. Some of the best service and food I’ve ever gotten. I would recommend this place to anyone!
Small, quaint and very pleasant!
Great food / great service!
Really enjoyed my meal. Loved the mashed potatoes, I recommend!
You can't go wrong. All the Italian classics are outstanding. Lasagna is ridiculously good, pasta bolognese is incredible, Bob's plate is off the hook, eggplant parm is out of this world. My only wish is for a bigger variety of appetizers - how about some clams casino, seared scallops or mussels in red or white sauce? A shrimp scampi or shrimp fettuccine would be an awesome addition to the menu!!
We always have a great meal here! Service was attentive, cheerful, and helpful. Appropriate safety precautions in place. We felt very comfortable.
We love this restaurant! The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. The restaurant is very nice and comfortable. The food is delicious! We would recommend it to anyone except maybe large parties.
Our server, Michelle was on point all during our visit. Food was also on point.
This was our second time here. Our food was delicious!! We will becoming back soon.
Service is excellent. Food has been delicious for 15+ years. BYOB. Large portions. Best garlic bread ever.
Very nice local restaurant. Pleasant and helpful staff. I'd lean towards chicken, veal and pasta dishes and skip the seafood (swordfish). When it gets colder sit near the door at your own risk. Chairs are super hard.
As always the seafood and pasta was very good! So glad this restaurant is making it through during this tough time. Also glad they use open table now!
Service was timely and efficient. Our meal was up to their usual standards.
Calamari app was not good at all. I had clams and linguini, wife had Tilapia they were ok. I liked mine more than she liked hers. We ate outside with perfect weather. That was cool. If we weren’t outside, not good.
Small portions. Low quality muscles, very slow service. Nothing special here. We wanted to try something different. We should’ve gone to La Stalla.
Went to dinner on Saturday night. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the dinner very much. The only thing that we didn’t like was where we were seated. We were in a corner that was very dark, no lighting above us and no candles on the table. It was hard to read the menu. We asked to be moved but because of social distancing, we couldn’t. So, we decided to not let it ruin the night. We had great service and loved everything we ordered.
An amazing meal every time. Even in the time of COVID - the quality of the food has not wavered one iota. Delicious.
The food was amazing! Great service with outside seating! Perfect evening!!!
