Rooted in Chef Stephan Pyles’ career as a pioneer in Southwestern, New American and Modern Texan cuisines, the new menu at Flora Street Café features what Chef Pyles has termed “Elevated Texas Cuisine.” In this new genre Chef Pyles takes his art form to an even higher sensory level of refinement. Sophisticated dishes combining Texas ingredients and modern techniques will join an impressive beverage program featuring a curated tea and coffee program, global, U.S. and Texas wine selections and handcrafted cocktails which pay homage to the culinary arts and fine arts.
We came for the NYE set menu. For the most part everything was great. The steak entrees were incredibly salty, almost to the point of being inedible. We brought this to the attention of the sever and manger. The manager apologized and offered complimentary after dinner drinks which never arrived. I guess we didn’t warrant a follow up which was disappointing. At this price point, one expects every detail to be attended to. Clearly that wasn’t the case
Stephen Pyles continues to create a superb dining experience.
Flora Street is one of the best restaurants in Dallas. The dining room is gorgeous.
I had high expectations for this restaurant. I was a little disappointed. The food was good but not 5 star excellent.
The service was truly outstanding.
Went on Friday before The Christmas Carol and our service was absolutely amazing. Our waiter Brandon took care of us from the moment we sat down, offered a perfect bottle of wine, suggested menu items and was great. Truly a beautiful experience. I will be back
Any time a waiter is training another one, they need to be aware to correct them, if needed, in a private location, not in front of the customers.
Flora Street is my favorite restaurant in any city. It’s chefs combine ingredients in surprising and imaginative ways and the service is always impeccable.
When I’m in Dallas, I always try to visit Flora Street.
Flora Street was an amazing experience. Stephan Pyles stopped by the table to say hello and was extremely engaging and down to earth. Our waiter was personable and helpful. An excellent pre and post show location.
Food was just fair. Way to much going on on the plate
Everything was excellent! Amazing service, food and drinks. Would highly recommend!
Food and service as always was excellent. Flora Street is one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. My wife and I have been a follower of Stephan Pyles for 25 years. All of our choices were superb.
Kevin was great. Food was delicious.
The beginning of the meal was great, the appetizers were amazing and the service was spot on. Then we got to the last two final dishes and our server just kinda forgot about us despite us telling him we had to be done be a certain time. It was about 30 minutes before we got the last dishes from the appetizers and it was just a little underwhelming. The potatoes for the side were almost burned on the outside and completely raw on the inside. Just was a bit of a mess at the end of a meal that started off so great! Would go there again in hopes it was an off night.
Can’t thank the staff enough for the amazing menu they provided yesterday. Top notch service, menu exceeded expectations and Very grateful for the team working on Thanksgiving!
We went to the Thanksgiving Brunch. It was served family style and all the courses were perfect. We loved the twists put on traditional Thanksgiving Goods and everything was portioned perfectly so that we were full but not miserable. I’m so glad we decided to go. Bonus...no post Thanksgiving clean-up required haha.
One of our favorite experiences~ Chef Stephan Pyles' masterpiece of love, cuisine, his mentoring of chefs and staff, his philosophy~ one of his gifts to Humanity. We are so grateful for our special occasions lovingly crafted and cared for by his expertise and great kindness.
We love the Flora Street Cafe reboot. Food still exquisite and the service impeccable. The perfect place for date night, even after all these years.
Beautiful food, nice service. Thank you.
The wagyu beef was basically brisket for $45. Mentioned two times it was a birthday dinner without any recognition of the birthday. Spent over $500 for very good appetizers but horrible entrées. This was our fourth time at this restaurant. The food has really gone down hill. The atmosphere is very nice. Will not be back.
We were all impressed. The menu, wine list, service, food and experience were unanimously appreciated by the nine people in our party. Food flavors and freshness also impressed. Well done.
Great service, relaxed atmosphere, and excellent flavor in everything we ordered!
I like the new format, especially the shared plates. We ordered a variety of dishes. Although our portions were small, we had plenty without being over full. Service was excellent and fast.
Excellent food and service! Friendly staff who allowed us to eat at our pace.
amazing restaurant food was superb!! Must try the lobster tamale pie!!
Consistently good, unpretentious food. Lobster tamale is my personal favorite. Shared plate format makes it difficult when dining alone.
We first heard of the venue from the Friday Guide and seeing the restaurant is a Stephan Piles location did not hesitate to get reservations. We were very pleased with the experience both in service, ambiance, and the offerings. The staff were professional, welcoming, and the presentation and taste of the food offerings was outstanding. I would highly recommend the Flora Street Cafe.
While I truly enjoyed the ambiance and food, I was not a huge fan of the service I received during my meal. The hostesses were wonderful and the manager as well, but my waiter but slow to respond. we sat down at 12:10 and he didn't come to ask about an app or additional drinks until at least 10-15 minutes later. We didn't have our meal until around 1pm. I would go back again and give it another chance
Fantastic location to catch an amazing dinner prior to spending the evening at the Meyerson l
Everything on the menu is absolutely fantastic
The staff, the dining experience, the entire package is unequaled
Thank you so much for having us!
Oh my gosh what an amazing experience! The food is always divine at any Stephan Pyles restaurant, and although I have been to Flora many times before, I loved sharing the new menu with my son for our pre-theater dinner date. Danny was AMAZING and found the recipe and the ingredients for my favorite new cocktail, the Elizabeth Taylor! Hunter was STELLAR in making sure we were out in time to make it to The Music Hall at Fair Park on time for the show and totally steered us in the right direction with our food choices, Foie Gras, Branzino with Couscous and Wild Boar Bolognese. I did not get the name of the gentleman who led us to our table but he was just that, a wonderful gentleman. I CANNOT WAIT TO RETURN!
Amazing service paired with exceptional food.
The meal was excellent as always. It's one of our favorite places to go before the opera. This time I found the service to be slow and less attentive then I'm used to.
Delightful lunch while spending time in the museum district .Would certainly recommend. Very cool physical layout
Paul, the general manager, was excellent at ensuring the experience was optimal. He could have fawned over the Dallas Morning News restaurant photographer who was taking photos for an upcoming review. Instead Paul made cocktail and dessert recommendations and visited each table. The waiter was very attentive and we will be back.
Excellent experience. Minor disappointment was the only fish on the menu was salmon and they ran out 10 minutes before I ordered my 6:30 pm meal.
Hands down, the best culinary experience in Dallas! From shareables, to starters, to mains, Stephen Pyles is an absolute genius, who creates the most incredible flavor profiles. Add to all of that the impeccably well-timed, never-intrusive, most-informative, and incredibly gracious service provided by our waiter, Kevin, and the sommelier (whose name escapes me at this time), and it was simply a most memorable experience for both my companion and I.
Can’t wait to go back for dinner! Such good food & ambiance 😎
