The menu pays homage to tradition, ensuring the majority of items are house made and locally sourced, and combines these elements with innovative and unexpected preparations with variations of contrasts and textures.
The bar program follows suit and is rooted in fresh ingredients, locally sourced spirits and brews, and small batch estate wines that pair naturally.
Amazing service and elegant atmosphere. The food was also great!
The family style choices are excellent - the whole
chicken was delicious.
Every time we’re here the drink orders take forever to arrive - no matter if they are busy or slow.
Food and service were very good. Noise level was very high. Too bad they changed the layout from when it was the Habitat which allowed for a quieter ambiance. Probably will not return as we can go elsewhere which is much quieter for a good meal. Too bad they messed it up.
Service is very slow.
Everything was excellent, except our service. Took almost 10 minutes to get greeted & get water. Had to ask twice for a beverage. Our waters sat empty most of the meal until we flagged someone down to refill. Watched our food sit in the window for quite some time before another waitress realized and brought it over. But otherwise-Food was great. Ambiance was great. Drinks were very good.
Expensive and you just okay. Overall, it was a very disappointing meal. What perhaps set off my dissatisfaction was to poor wine service coupled with the wine being way overpriced. I completely understand that there’s going to be a hefty markup, but this restaurant takes it to a blatant extreme. Here’s a nice example: the menu lists Penfolds 389 for $13 a glass (a very good price ... if true) but instead what is served - without any attempt to note the error - is a much inferior Penfolds Max’s, which retails for about $20 a bottle. Poor showing!
I should be clear that my poor rating is not due solely to that frustrating wine experience. The food was just okay, which translated to disappointing when taking into account that it’s expensive. I just can’t recommend this place.
Above all else, the food is outstanding. Upscale quality yet semi-casual atmosphere. Server was as good as they get. She knew the entire menu and the drink menu. We even enjoyed the person bussing the table. Valet parking made life easy. Deserts were unique and quite tasty. It would be a nice night to sit at the bar, have a drink and desert or appetizers.
Great spot hear the theater district for bar bites or a full meal. Friendly staff, a reasonably priced menu of quality food, and a nice atmosphere made for a nice dinner with an out of town guest.
Bacon was 75% black from overcooking. I was served with a chipped glass plate under the coffee cup, the server waited for me to finish feeling whether the plate could be sharp, then he poured the water into my water glass. He didn’t offer to replace the cup set.
Had a group of seven people for a business dinner. It was hard to hear each other at times, but the waiter - Gary - was wonderful as was his assistant. The food was delicious and we had a great time. Thank you!
Two of our guests ordered the fish sandwich. I took one bite and could not eat anymore. The other guest ate half and said she knows the fish was not cooked. The waiter never asked why we did not finish our meals when he took the plates away, but a manager came over and said they were comping one dessert, an ice tea, a soda and a coffee. The two fish sandwiches were never taken off the bill and I am not so future what you comped even totaled up to the two fish sandwiches. The service was not very good. I was taking new clients out to lunch and this was truly a disappointment.
My husband, niece, and I were racially profiled. We had to insist to be sat at a table instead of the counter seating directly in front of the kitchen. We reserved a table with open table the morning before. We got there and there were many tables available, but the manager insisted that we would sit at the counter. After much unnecessary discussion about why we would prefer to sit at a table as we had reserved in advance, the manager apprehensively decided to give us a table.
Great dinner for my wife's birthday, and wonderful service from Courtney. Would like to see a few more entree choices.
We diner here for Valentine’s Day. The food, service and atmosphere were all wonderful.
Great atmosphere. Nice waitress- she made good food recommendations. Tasty food. The drinks were delicious. Perfect date night.
The brunch at Floor 2 was awesome and the ambiance and vibe were even better. Possibly the highlight of our long weekend in Pittsburgh.
Food was amazing... nothing bad to say!
The chairs were kind of uncomfortable... cute but one 2x4 across my back hurts.
The place was beautiful and the staff attentive.
It was costly but, honestly, one of my wife’s and my top 5 restaurants!
Perfect pre-concert spot, great service, luscious pate!
Setting was incredible and clean and modern, everything seemed priced right, the service was fast and the waiters and waitresses were all so helpful with the drink and food selection. Highly recommend!
We were there for a birthday during the evening. The food & service were excellent. My friend was made to feel very special for his birthday.
Ceema was fantastic! We asked her to do a pairing menu for us and she nailed it. The chef even created a special pasta dish off the menu. Highly recommend the restaurant and if you're feeling adventurous, ask your waiter or waitress to pick for you!
Ambiance is excellent in the non-bar area. Crispy mushrooms were a revelation and presented beautifully. My seafood stew was great - a little spicy, but what I expected and wanted. Wife's scallops were perfect and served in wonderful and tasty presentation. Slightly disappointed with desert - just good, not excellent. Wine selections were great; poured glasses at the table, no off-camera substitutes! Expensive, but worth it for quality of food and service.
Dined at the bar and service was very good. Attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. We had the crispy mushrooms and the burratta, but were ample servings enough two people and both were delicious. The crispy mushrooms especially surprised us and worth a try.
Ive been here a few times, brunch I really enjoyed. Seems a tad overpriced for what you really get. The crispy mushrooms were highly recommended from the waitress, and while delicious, they were lukewarm when we got them. Overall it was good, but I would prefer to spend that amount of money somewhere else.
One of my favorite spots in Pittsburgh. FL2 has a small menu and everything is prepared quite deliciously
It’s a great place for a business lunch. I love the lunch menu. Great location
We met another couple out for dinner. We had drinks first which was nice. Then had dinner with Jared as our waiter. He was fantastic. We had a Vegan, Vegetarian and 2 regular dieters. Jared offered a 3 course meal that would be a surprise but would fit our groups diet restrictions. He delivered. It was awesome food, service and company. We will be coming back.
Awesome meal, and even better service. If you are lucky enough to have Jared wait on your table, you will be in for a real treat. His goal is to make your dining experience the best possible. Wonderful evening, unique menu, but a little expensive.
We had a wonderful evening and really enjoyed Floor 2. The food was very good but the service was excellent!
A wonderful place to spend a special occasion. It's a bit of a splurge, but worth it for the excellent food and beautiful atmosphere.
Initially I was reluctant to try Floor 2 because of the mixed reviews, but I’m SO GLAD I decided to give them a try. I made reservations for my 30th birthday and they did not disappoint. The service was great and the food was phenomenal. I ordered the rotisserie chicken. My friends ordered pasta, steak, and lobster bisque...Everyone was happy with their food. I’ll definitely be back!
Service was exceptional and very accommodating. Food was very good and well presented great place for weekend brunch
It’s wonderful to see the Fairmont with a viable restaurant. The mushroom starter is amazing; the half chicken tasted odd (sorta bland and undercooked??); and the wine selection is superb albeit overpriced.
Floor 2 surpassed our expectations! The ambiance and food were outstanding, and the service we received from Gary was impeccable!!
The bar and dining area were decorated with a warm inviting hue that mixed modern pieces & elements with a throwback style that reminded me of a 20s club.
We shared a family style ribeye sliced and prepared over the bone which was cooked and presented beautifully.
Dessert was heavenly and we chose the chocolate pave and an oat based yummy tart.
Highly recommend fl.2!!!!!
Slow and inattentive brunch service despite being not busy. Watched while soup and French toast sat under heat lamps for well over 5 minutes while a cook and manager held a conversation directly over our food. French toast had a lake of melted butter pooled on top and was uncooked in the middle. Home fries, bacon, and coffee were good. Polenta soup was delicious. Prices for some items were obscene ($6 for an avocado, $9 for juice).
Been to fl2 several times. Keeps getting better each visit. If anything the crispy mushrooms are worth their weight in gold!!!! Scallops, pasta, all good. Very busy when we were there but servers handled it well.
It was ok. Our server was excellent, but the bar staff was slow to acknowledge even with a bar that was only about 25% full. The drinks were interesting and well made but took about 10 mins. Service when we sat at a table was good - server was knowledgeable and attentive, but were not wowed by the food. There were a couple of decent bites - the roasted cauliflower was very good - but we had 5 other small plates and nothing stood out as more than mediocre. It was far from a bad experience but it was also far from standout.
My husband and I had a wonderful evening following a show at the Benedum. Service, food and wine were great! We started with the ceviche and beef tartare, enjoyed the strip steak and finished with coffee and the sticky toffee pudding! Nice assortment and generous pour of wine by the glass. The atmosphere and bar are quite fun too! Hadn’t been before but will be back.
amazing brunch!! everything was made perfectly and the restaurant is beautiful.
The service was slow - it took 2 hours from start to finish, and we got the fixed menu for restaurant week. Soup was the first course, and I had to ask for bread and butter. I’m not sure why they don’t bring that out automatically? However, the servers were extremely polite and the food was great. My friend and I ordered two different entrees and asked if the kitchen could split them on separate plates - the amount of food we got was surprising! The pasta needed salt, but the chicken and potato dish was superb! I think we only saved a few dollars for the restaurant week deal, but I was happy with the food and I’ll definitely go back.
