I've had dinner here many times and it's always wonderful. Breakfast was very disappointing as they were extremely short staffed. After a very long wait we had to track down the server to place our food order as he was so overextended trying to service all his tables and everyone seated at the bar. I do recognize there is a service shortage in the US right now. I just don't understand why new tables were continually seated when there wasn't the staff to service. I will be back because I do like the restaurant. Our server was very nice but he was so busy he was unable to provide us with service. I brought my family from out of town as a farewell breakfast and they were disappointed with their experience. I'm disappointed that was their final experience in Pittsburgh.
The food had unexpected spice that was not common or particularly good. For example, the burrata salad was doused in jalepenos and jalepeno juice. The greens were doused in hot sauce. Neither spice was mentioned on the menu. Altogether an unsatisfactory experience.
Loved the decor and vibe of this place! Great cocktails and wine selection. Loved even more, our server, Jered! He was a pleasure to talk to, and he made great food recommendations.
Food was great service was phenomenal. Great experience in a beautiful place.
Fl. 2 was a great experience for my boyfriend and I. We went for Sunday brunch and the food was great! It was a great atmosphere and the service was amazing. No complaints!
Went for a dinner at Floor 2 on Saturday evening. While the food was delicious, the service was sub-par. It started off poor when we were unfortunately running 5 minutes late for our reservations. At check in they told us that our reservation was cancelled for being late but they would try to find us a table (of note, the restaurant was almost completely empty). They luckily seated us shortly after, but after about 10 minutes after being at the table we got a call from the restaurant hostess asking us where we were and if we were coming to our reservation. We told him that we were currently sitting at the restaurant and had prevoiusly been told our reservations were cancelled. This unfortunately was a bad start to the service. The rest of the service from the waiting staff was very average, to below average, for the quality of the restaurant and price of the food.
The food was delicious however - we had several small plates and large plates.
I would highly recommend the food in the future of the service could be better.
This was an amazing date night. Great view of city from the Fairmont. The atmosphere was upscale but casual. The staff was amazing! If you go you need to have Jared as your waiter. He made the experience that much better he picked our whole meal out and was spot on. The food was amazing and so were the cocktails. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and will for sure be going back to see Jared and have this experience again!
The food was o-k. For what we paid I was expecting better. The burrata and short rib pasta were both good, the burger and linguine were pretty average. The service and ambience were great.
Had a good night out in a beautiful place. Jared was great recommended the Buratta Cheese as well and anchovies and chips. We will definitely be returning.
Jered R. Was my waiter and he made my first visit very comfortable! Great personality and customer service and will definitely be visiting again soon. 10/10
Anniversary was not acknowledged after mentioned when making reservations.
Slow service, mildew smell at table near server station
This is a hidden gem! I was beyond impressed with the service by Jared our waiter. He really took his time to walk us through the menu. The food was delicious and plenty! I highly recommend the burrata and pork chops. This was a five star experience, something I have missed from other well known restaurants in the area. We will come back 100%
Pretty limited menu. We tried 4 small plates between the two of us, and though the food was nicely presented, we thought it was nothing special from a taste perspective.
You could not have been happier with our early Saturday dinner at FLoor 2! The space is beautiful, the service was impeccable (many thanks to our server, Jared, for the attention, the recommendations and the good vibes!), the drinks were delicious and the FOOD was SO GOOD. We got 2 apps, 2 entrees ( good sized portions on the linguine, the caponata side and the short ribs, despite what another review said!) and split a dessert.
We will be back.
extremely expensive breakfast!
Noise level is only a bit higher, but nothing compared to some of the other restaurants we've been in. I highly recommend fl2 because there are great chefs there. Menu constantly changes which is a must when you want the freshest ingredients. It can be very busy, but the food is worth trying fl2.
Fantastic brunch spot, and well located downtown!
Cute spot with great ambiance. Service is a bit slow but it was very early in the morning and there was only one server. Drinks were good . Brunch was delicious.
Our waiter was wonderful. The atmosphere was very enjoyable and sophisticated. Overall, a great restaurant. The portion sizes are on the smaller side, but the food and cocktails are excellent. I would definitely recommend Floor 2.
Menu was very limited, food was mediocre. There was a waitress near by that excessively and loudly kept chatting with one of her tables. She kept commenting that she really didn't have anything else to do. The food was totally overpriced. We would never return.
Again, another fabulous experience. Everything on all of our plates was delicious! We love this restaurant! The food, the staff, the ambiance is wonderful. Our go to special occasion restaurant and probably our favorite restaurant!
Wonder mothers day brunch!!
Mother's Day Brunch Service and Food was outstanding. Music could have been a little lower in volume (amplified guitar player). Complimentary rose for mom was a nice touch but would have preferred complimentary parking instead -- $10 for 1.5 hours on a Sunday in downtown non-busy Pittsburgh was outrageous - if it hadn't been pouring rain I would have parked for free somewhere and walked over.
It was our first time and we had a superlative experience. Our server, Jered R., was exceptional and really helped us curate a wonderful meal - each person in our party really enjoyed what we ordered. Thank you, Jered, for introducing us to the sunchokes and to the pork belly - the best appetizers we have had in a very long time!!!! We will definitely be back.
Food was delicious. We wanted the ceviche and octopus, but it was out. our waiter Brandon? Helped us choose the beef tartare and sunchoke. Very nice!
I would not recommend it at this time. Yes, in the future. They are currently understaffed. The staff tried very hard. The Mgr. gave us a 30% discount on the food because it took an hour and a half to get our first bite. The menu is quite limited currently. The current one is not the one on their website nor the one on Open Table. Spacing from other diners was good and the staff wore masks throughout our being there. This is still a challenging time for restaurants. Let's hope restaurants can get back to what was normal before the pandemic in the future. Their Jerusalem sunchokes were delicious! The wine by the bottle there is very expensive.
My mom and I celebrated Mother’s Day with a staycation at the Fairmont. We enjoyed dinner at Fl 2. The meal was wonderful and the service even better. Jared, our waiter, was so personable and knowledgeable about the menu. He did not lead us astray with recommendations from drinks, small plates, main dishes and desserts. We’re looking forward to going back!
The food was delicious and the service was amazing!
Nice view, pretty bar area. Nice dinning experience.
The entre was tasty, but nothing exceptional. Menu was extremely limited and the prices were high.
Food was amazing and so was the company
Smash burger was delicious and full of flavor. Eggs Benedict was ok , the hollandaise sauce needed more flavor. Waiter took too long to come back to table had to ask another server to find him.
When we arrived, we were told that we could not be seated until the server was caught up and this would be a 5 minute wait. I was offered a cup of coffee while waiting, which was more like 20 minutes. Every item of our breakfast arrived cold except for the potatoes. My eggs and sausage were room temp, as was my husband's breakfast. The waiter forgot our rye toast and so I had to flag someone down twice to get it. It was barely warm. My husband's toast was burned on one side of each piece and the burned sides were facing down so that it looked fine when served. So, we finished and got our check to discover that we were charged for my takeout, unrefilled coffee that was offered while we waited. Very disappointing to say the least.
The food was very good with a limited menu. The wine list is unreasonably expensive. Overall, a good meal, well served.
We had to wait an extended amount of time for everything throughout our experience there. From waiting to be seated at our table which we had scheduled reservations for to someone getting us drinks, taking our order for food, to getting our check and giving us change. The service was horrible even when we said thank you to the waitress waiting on us, she had no response to us at all throughout. The other tables around us appeared to have the same wait time and sat for a very long time before they even got drinks. We were not offered refills. It was the worst experience I ever had in a restaurant and it’s a shame because the atmosphere was well designed but the service was horrible. My friends nor I will eat here again or recommend this restaurant to anyone.
This was my first time going to Floor 2 and I was incredibly disappointed. I am such a foodie and have been to basically every restaurant in Pittsburgh, and ordered the most expensive entree and got multiple drinks and was underwhelmed by the delivery. The food was simply average. The servers personally were very nice, but the service was terrible; which made us feeling BAD for requesting more drinks, etc. We felt bad they were understaffed and overworked. I don't think that any diner should have to feel guilty during their experience for asking for simple things, and I don't blame the staff at all; I blame poor management.
Wonderful service, food and atmosphere!
Very beautiful hotel and restaurant. Serves was awesome and the food was very good. Alittle pricey, but worth it.
Outstanding! Bartender the best ..very attentive and friendly!
Unique experience with delicious food and drinks !
