The menu pays homage to tradition, ensuring the majority of items are house made and locally sourced, and combines these elements with innovative and unexpected preparations with variations of contrasts and textures.
The bar program follows suit and is rooted in fresh ingredients, locally sourced spirits and brews, and small batch estate wines that pair naturally.
The brunch was amazing! Our waiter, Gary, was attentive and kind. My family and I had such a wonderful time at Floor 2 and we can’t wait to go back. Also, the drinks were STRONG which is great! Not watered down at all. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience, Floor 2!
Oysters were very small, took a few requests to get the cocktail sauce requested with them and we were served half of them first, steak came out rare when it wasn't ordered that way. Not the best experience, usually much better than that.
Food was sub par for the price we paid. The Avocado Toast was not seasoned and served on a soggy bread, and priced at $16 for something we could throw together at home and would’ve tasted ten times better. Very disappointing brunch and won’t return.
Absolutely a great restaurant from the waiters to the food and presentation
Steak had no sear and was covered in some sauce that had no flavor at all. The ceviche was very good. Our server was good but it was not really a memorable experience.
Food and drinks were great! Service was excellent. I highly recommend fl.2.
Overall great food and service! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good and filling breakfast!
Awesome music in background
Food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. Will definitely return and highly recommend.
2d trip for lunch.food is good but portions are small and expensive. The poblano soup was delicious - flavorful and light but at $9 for a cup - very overpriced. Chicken kale salad was good but small for the price.
I love the aesthetics of Floor 2 and the menu has a great variety of vegan friendly options. I reserved in advance and notified them I was celebrating my wedding anniversary. The staff was very welcoming and made sure to accommodate us. From start to finish we never had empty glasses and the food arrived not long after we finished our appetizers. The steak and potatoes are on the menu along with oysters which tasted fresh and delicious. The real star was the menu that has vegan options. It’s really hard to find “date night” places that serve vegan dishes. I highly recommend the fried mushroom tacos. It’s tapas size so order more with it! The brussels and hummus were both cooked with a unique flavor you won’t get somewhere else in Pittsburgh. I hope they add more items to their menu because we will be back in the future. Thank you Floor 2 for making our anniversary dinner a memorable evening. Beautiful space.
It was great! The best thing about it was our server, Jered, who made us a special tasting dinner. Incredible! And specifically don't miss the mussels.
It is very loud! The food was very good, but pricey. Our server, Gary, was attentive. However, the entrée came out before we were done with our salads. The person who served the food (not Gary) said he didn't want it sitting over there getting cold (so it can sit on our table while we try to hurriedly finish the salad). Not good. The food was piping hot by the way, so I don't think it would have cooled off sitting "over there"!
The waitress seemed to be rushing us out even though there were many free tables. This made it uncomfortable
Put in our appetizer before putting in our main course. Was still eating our appetizer (Mussels) when they brought out our our main course & took away the shell discard bowl (we still had plenty of mussels left) Our main dish was sitting at the side of the table for a good 10 mins. When we got to the dish it had main ingredients missing, had to ask the waitress for it on the side. Overall, the mussels were very good & the bar is very cool.
The service was slow to the point we nearly missed our concert. We had to hurry at the end of the meal.
The mussels were very good. However, the $98 lobster dinner was a disappointment. The meat was tough (frozen?) and no sides came with the meal. I understand that lobster is a delicacy, nevertheless, in terms of value this is a “loser”!
Service was very good but food was average at best. The noise level also seemed to be loud. I would not go out of my way to dine there again.
This is a beautiful restaurant with an excellent brunch. Both the food (I had the French Toast — so good) and the brunch cocktails were extremely tasty. Our server was friendly and attentive. Overall, this was an excellent experience and I look forward to returning soon!
The food and service were great. The cost was expensive.
Best Caesar salad we’ve ever had. Our dinners were delicious and service was very good.
Great service in a beautiful atmosphere. Food well prepared and presented. Service by Gary was excellent and well paced.
Service was very slow. It took forever to get our first drink. I finished my water and had to flag a server to get more. We ordered the charcuterie, which only had 3 small toasts with the plate. The wad of mustard was more than the pate. We had the yellow tail snapper, which was okay. The broccolini, which literally was a bunch of steamed broccolini, had no seasoning. We left hungry.
The food was tasty, but the service was terrible. When we arrived we stood by the hostess stand and were not acknowledged for a minute or two. The hostess was visibly upset about something and was having a conversation with what looked to be a manager. We thought “no big deal”, and had a nice conversation while we waited. We were seated, and the waitress did not appear for another 10 or so minutes. We ordered two family style entrees, an appetizer and three sides with our waitress’s recommendation. We were only served one entree, we were never given serving utensils for the sides, and by the end of dinner the table was full of empty drink glasses and serving plates. When the waitress was nowhere to be found, we asked another waiter for serving utensils. He was visibly annoyed and grabbed a handful of utensils and dumped them on the table. Sometimes you run into someone who is having a bad day, but receiving poor service from start to finish with a half full restaurant was strange. Again, the food was very tasty, but the value was not there due to the poor service from start to finish.
Enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar which appeared to be slightly upscale, and the bartenders made good drinks, but the restaurant takes on a more understated tone. Our waiter was very friendly and made a great wine recommendation to us. Unfortunately, our food took over an hour to get to our table. The waiter apologized several times and seemed more annoyed than we did (maybe this happens a lot?), and the restaurant ended up covering part of our meal. It was disappointing to wait that long. Our food was just okay. I think they were short-staffed because the hostess and the manager of the restaurant were helping to deliver food to all the tables. I don't think I'd recommend the restaurant to friends, but I would go back to the bar again.
Food was tasty. Service was terrible. Servers was very nice and polite but you had to wait much too long for everything including dessert and the check.
Wonderful restaurant. Awesome service from Tim. Lovely way to spend a relaxing Saturday afternoon. Would recommend highly and looking forward to our next visit. The huevos rancheros were amazing!!
Very nice location and decor. Food quality was good although the entree salad was a bit small. Menu is smaller but has enough diversity to please most. Prices are a little high and portions are a little small. Not a great combo.
Bartender was amazing, food came out very quick but was not very good. Avocado toast was especially subpar.
The halibut was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were an excellent accompaniment. Our server was very attentive and personable.
Excellent food, service and staff. Fresh ingredients made the food extra delicious.
Enjoyed Floor 2! New to Pittsburgh and did not know where to go to celebrate a very special birthday. Ambiance, service, and food were excellent. I definitely will be back and already recommended to several.
While the drinks were good, my main entree the half chicken was a bit too pink for me to finish. It was a disappointing end for my birthday.
It was fabulous! My daughter and I had breakfast before a show at Heinz Hall . The restaurant was spotless and the decor was beautiful. We had French toast with fresh berries and pancakes and they were great!
We’ve given this restaurant enough chances. It’s time to cross it off the list. Service was slow to start and indifferent throughout. For example, the server was pouring my beer and it was dripping off the table onto my lap. I grabbed my napkin and said whoa, she kept right on pouring and left me to mop it up. When she refilled my water, slopped it out of the glass onto my phone and glasses. Again, left it to me to mop it up. Took our appetizers away and left us with no silverware for the main. No where to be found so we got up and took two settings from another table. The food was no better. The chick pea appetizer was a can of hot chickpeas served with stone cold grilled ciabatta toast that tasted like it was grilled the day before. The seafood stew for $42 was the skimpiest serving I’ve seen in some time. At $30 no complaint, except that 1 clam and 2 mussels were empty. Ok I get that happens, but it’s obvious if you look at the shells before you plate it. Just lack of attention to detail in the kitchen. One a sole positive note, my wife’s halibut was perfectly cooked, tasty and a decent portion size. The wine list is very eclectic and pricey, just hate it when restaurants take that route. If you don’t know the wine you can’t judge the value for price. Guess that’s their strategy.
Our waiter told us they were short two servers and he "adored" us for being patient. I had the roasted cauliflower and the taglietelle pesto pasta. Both were very bland. The entre was just under-seasoned noodles. It didn't even taste like the water in which the pasta cooked was salted. The spinach pesto had no flavor: no garlic, nuts or cheese. I wasn't offered grated Parmesan. When asked, I told the waiter I thought the pasta was bland and he said if he wasn't so busy he would've told me it was bland and not to order it. He did take it off the bill informing us it was the second time that night he removed it from a bill in hopes that the kitchen would get the hint. On a positive note, the spring in the 'burgh seasonal cocktail was lovely. A vodka tonic with elder flower tonic. The atmosphere and decor was nice. Doubt we will return.
BLAND. The drinks are ok, especially if you order a standard cocktail, but the food was so bland. I was surprised because this place had such good reviews.
Unfortunately I was really disappointed in the service and ambiance. When we walked in there were at least 4-5 tables filled with dirty dishes and glassware which made for a very unappealing first impression for the guests we brought to brunch. It was apparent that the restaurant was understaffed. I’ve had drinks at fl. 2 and eaten there now half a dozen times and this was by far our worst experience. Our waiter did not come over once after serving our food. He did not ask about a second round of drinks nor did he refill any of our water glasses ( they were al completely empty). I’m so disappointed because I really love this place!
We arrived but canceled after 1. Learning that they were only serving a brunch menu, 2. It was very crowded and noisy, 3. We waited for a table to be bussed— then the seats were wet, 4. There was nothing on the menu that interested us, so we moved on.
To be fair, this is not our usual experience at this or any other Fairmont.
After being seated it took 10 minutes for our server, Jill, to take our drink order. Then we waited another 6 minutes for 2 iced teas and a coffee. The service from our server was horrible and it was not crowded. I might return.
The food was very good but service was slow and the noise level was deafening. It was not possible to hold a conversation with the other person at my table without yelling. Most of the tables have a full view into the open kitchen, which is not exactly attractive, is very distracting, and certainly adds to the noise. We will not go back and will not recommend.
