The menu pays homage to tradition, ensuring the majority of items are house made and locally sourced, and combines these elements with innovative and unexpected preparations with variations of contrasts and textures.
The bar program follows suit and is rooted in fresh ingredients, locally sourced spirits and brews, and small batch estate wines that pair naturally.
The food was very good but service was slow and the noise level was deafening. It was not possible to hold a conversation with the other person at my table without yelling. Most of the tables have a full view into the open kitchen, which is not exactly attractive, is very distracting, and certainly adds to the noise. We will not go back and will not recommend.
Service was good and prompt and friendly - although the waiter would interrupt our conversation to ask a question. Should wait until he's noticed. A matter of training. Haddock was good and salads were excellent and fresh. But a horrible din prevented us from hearing each other without shouting. Not good acoustics combined with background music exacerbated the situation. We didn't come to listen to music - but to dine and converse. Turn off the music.
First time here. Pleasant(though noisy) ambiance. Had a delicious steak dinner served by a lovely and efficient waitress(sorry not to recall her name). I would have liked 1 or 2 more dinner choices. This dinner with friends was synchronized with a symphony performance and, because it's so very convenient(with parking available),I would eat here again on another visit to the symphony.
Very nice...noisy...menu limited but what I had was excellent. Service very good.
I have already recommended it. Made reservations because a Pittsburgh friend recommended it.
Best brunch spot in Pittsburgh! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great!
This was a great dining experience. Went for a nice brunch and it did not dissappoint. Very chic atmosphere with an attentive wait staff. I looked at menu online before going so I expectedthis to be a little higher price point but the menue items were not basic and plates were generous portions. I had the Poblano soup which was wonderful. One of my party raved about the avocado toast and poached eggs. One of the attractions of this restaurant was that it is in a central area to Market Square 1 block away. I valeted my car and had it validated so that the parking was only $13. I left vehicle with valet as we walked to the square to enjoy the weekend activities and did some site seeing. We also had reservations for The Great Escape Room which was in walking distance. The Hotel Fairmont is an amazing property and I knew fl. 2 restaurant had great reviews so I was happy to enjoy brunch there.
Our server was outstanding! He really made our experience a 10/10!
I would recommend for cocktails and appetizers. The pasta I had was ok
too pricey for the food quality, limited choices too!
The food was fantastic and our waiter. Zack was friendly, knowledgeable and wonderful!!
Best drinks in the city! We went there for a birthday celebration and the food, drinks, and service were great!
Great food, cocktails, service, and atmosphere! We’ll be back!
Great place. I highly recommend it for many occasions. regards, Ray M.
Food was delicious
We have dined here on a number of occasions but this time it was not very good. Our food arrived cold and we had to send it back. Service was mediocre at best
We chose Floor 2 to celebrate our daughter’s Graduation with a pre-ceremony brunch that did not disappoint! Everything was remarkably fresh and Sandy went above and beyond to make our meal special and enjoyable.
Overall a good experience. Food was good, but service was slow and the total time at the table was longer than we would have liked when we came in for breakfast. A few things had to be asked for more than once. The ambiance and atmosphere are great for a nice spot for a meal.
Nice space for a hotel restaurant. Good bar that was pretty busy on this Friday evening. Food was good, slightly above average for this genre. Service was a bit slow and disjointed, to be honest; the staff was definitely spread way too thin. Our server was very pleasant but was responsible for just too many tables. Given how expensive this place is, this is a definite minus.
Regarding the price, the wine list is interesting but is very overpriced. Mark-up on some bottles was well over 200%, which is simply unacceptable in this day and age. I don't know if this place allows BYOB, but folks looking for a good, fairly priced wine experience should probably look elsewhere.
We had a fabulous evening at Fl. 2. The food was fantastic! We especially loved the ceviche, halibut, and cocktails. Our server, Zack, was awesome as well! He was very personable, knowledgeable about the menu, and took excellent care of us. We will absolutely return very soon!
They just released a new menu and it was amazing. I highly recommend the crispy mushroom appetizer as well as the creamed corn side. I love the family style options for sharing. Cocktails were also great. Would definitely go back.
Fantastic service. Our waitress was terrific! This was our second time here and we'd come back again. Wait staff is just attentive and not.in your face. Food was perfection. Yellowtail snapper was cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and juicy. From beginning to end, 5 star all the way!
Food and service were great and decor was lovely.
Nice views of downtown. Family style shared plates. Had the whole yellowfin snapper with Brussels. Everything was very good. Our server was outstanding and knew the menu very well and had great recommendations.
Excellent service, extremely well prepared and presented food. As a Hotel restaurant, was priced over market (as expected), but the close proximity of this wonderful restaurant to the Cultural District theaters was worth the extra money to me.
The steak was excellent - Ruth’s Chris has nothing on Fl 2’s chef!
Food and drinks were excellent! I had the Spring in the burgh cocktail and loved it. We had Gary as a server and he was great!
The food is overrated. The menu is trying too hard and it just isn't worth the price. I thought everything from the cocktails, appetizers to the main courses were subpar. We were going to a show at the theater and they were very slow.
Although our server and the manager really made an effort to make our meal an enjoyable one, we left the restaurant disappointed in the fare. The greens salad was totally bland. The drinks were crazy concoctions that didn’t actually mix well together. But the ambience was beautiful, and apparently they are getting a new menu in less than a week so here’s hoping the food gets some uplifting.
My friend and I love going to this restaurant before a couple of the musical shows that we attend. Fl2 continues to deliver wonderful food and great atmospheres. I had the kampachi and 3 oysters from the raw bar - delicious! Mussells pei for my main - crusted bread to sop up the wonderful broth with Brussels sprouts to share. My friend had the sea bass bouillabaisse style. Light and fulfilling. Highly recommend the restaurant!
Server was fantastic and family style recommendation was spot on!
My lunch guest and I enjoyed are turkey club sandwiches and fries, however, we were very disappointed in the creme brulee which was completely different from the traditional presentation.
The dessert we were served did not have the carmelized sugar coating on top, rather, it had a sort of raspberry jam spread over it and the chocolate filling was more of a mousse consistency.
Highly recommend! One of the best meals we've had in Pittsburgh, and Jered provided fantastic service. He asked us a few questions, and we didn't have to order a thing the rest of the night! Definitely on our list to go back to.
Highly recommend the waiter Jared. Made the dining experience truly exceptional!
Website did not indicate that 1:30 p.m. Saturday reservation offered brunch only, not lunch menu. Food was very mundane. Was shocked, given Floor 2's reputation.
Great location for a business lunch. They also offer a wonderful brunch on the weekend.
Great place to dine. Fantastic bar, food and service.
We are excited to see the new menu. As always, Katie and Jared were wonderful. We will be back soon
It was fabulous. I do think the servers there could be better about refilling ice tea. It happens a lot.
Great service and food! Our waitress was amazing! I definitely have Floo2 on my must do again list.
