Floga Bistro in Kennett Square exudes a passion for the culinary arts that is easily seen and appreciated. Serving up classic bistro cuisine, Floga Bistro provides a casual and relaxed setting to enjoy conversation with friends. Open daily for lunch and dinner, the bistro offers delivery service, is completely BYOB and has a full catering service.
You wont want to miss out on the pollo villagio make with fresh sauted chicken, roasted peppers, onions and fennel pork sausage tossed in tomato sauce and served over pasta. The full Floga Bistro menu includes antipasti, zuppa, pasta, hearth baked and gourmet pizzas, specialty sandwiches, paninis and burgers. A bambinos menu is available for the youngest guests.
Never, ever disappoints. Always top quality food in a friendly atmosphere with good service. A local, reliably can't miss.
We took our 85 year old mother to Longwood Gardens and then to lunch here. The atmosphere was quiet so we could all hear each other talk. The food and staff are great and the menu is extensive so everyone will be able to find something they would enjoy! And the price is reasonable. And it is BYOB which helps keep the cost low. Totally recommend this restaurant and we all said we'd go back again.!!!
We go to this restaurant all the time, we are regulars. We were highly disapointed on this visit. It was very busy as it was Saturday night. But the food left much to be desired. The chicken parm was dried out and fried to a crisp. The sides of pasta were mushy and boring. The pollo mellanzane that we get resgularly was tasteless. We brought family with us this time and were so dissapointed. We will be taking a break from this restaurant for a bit in hopes that the normal quality returns.
We have been to Floga many times and have always been pleased. We have introduced many friends to Floga and they also like this restaurant.
We were treated warmly by all the staff, the ambience was very pleasant, menu options were good and affordable - and it's byob! Will definitely return.
One of our favorite places. We were there for our son’s 16th birthday, he loves their BBQ chicken pizza. Good food, attentive service.
Meal generally good. We ordered the chocolate lava cake. It was served very hot and without ice cream which made it very difficult to eat. Everything else was fine
We have been to Floga many times since their opening several years ago. We love their food and service. This time we went for a New Years Eve dinner. was delicious. Pasta and most of their dishes is home made. we will be back soon again!
Floga Bistro is always consistently good. It is near home, so it's a no-brainer to go there for a quick dinner out.
We had a nice meal and our family was satisfied. Close to Longwood Gardens for a meal or snack.
The menu had a very nice selection. The service was great and the food was outstanding.
Good food, great price, and wonderful service. We took our mother for her 91st birthday, and staff was very helpful at making it nice for her. The only problem was the crowded nature of the place and the noise. It was full of people at 6:00 on a Saturday night -- an indicator of how good it is -- and the noise level was a bit high for an old lady.
Floga is a traditional style family restaurant, largely Italian menu, and with some good Greek touches.
Chef knows what he’s doing as far as grilling and roasting: perfect salmon medium rare. Oddly paired with a baked potato (change to pasta or rice if you can). Veg just right. Top ingredients in the Greek inspired dishes. Generous portions. It’s a family place so try not to go Saturday at 7. BYOB. Very small glasses. Stay away from awful calamari.
Stopped in after an afternoon at Longwood Gardens. Food was very good and large portions. They are BYOB which was a surprise given their Bistro
It was a last minute reservation and we were thrilled to get seating and the food was absolutely amazing!
Can't wait to return!!!
I'm in the lighting business, and the pendants over the tables were totally disgusting, covered in dust, with a little bit of effort they can be cleaned and should be cleaned at least once a month. They probably looked spectacular when first installed. The windows need covering, looking out into an ugly "mall-type" parking lot has no ambiance, and the flush mount over sized LED ceiling packs were horrible. There were recessed lights inside, but the owner probably felt that the expense of a dimmer was too much, again, another lost opportunity for some ambiance, especially if you add a rechargeable LED candle to each table.
The food: Too much dressing on our salad. My wife called it; "The bread basket tasted like the pizza crust...eeeh" My wife and I don't drink alcohol, so having an upsell drink like fresh squeezed lemonade, or other specialty drink would have helped.
The service: Our waiter was super fast, like he had other plans once the place closed. We told him we would split a salad, so he brought it out in one bowl, we used the bread plate but then had to ask for new plates when the "ho-hum" pizza arrived.
Everything was very good...we took a larger table and we were there a long time! We didnt feel rushed and our waiter seemed to come at the right times! This is a little hidden treasure in the corner!!!
Love Floga for a delicious, relaxing meal to catch up with friends. It's BYOB, and all their dishes are reasonably priced. Always get great service and nearly always have some leftovers to take home. They deliver locally, too, so it's a great alternative on a rainy evening when you just don't feel like cooking or even going out for takeout.
Good service, menu had lots of choices for all palates, food was very good. Atmosphere allowed for quiet conversation.
We have been out of the area for a long time. dinner was flat- there was nothing interesting. doubt that we would try it again.
Great place for a meal before or after Longwood Gardens. Pretty good tradtional Italian. Atmosphere decent for shopping center location. Attentive service. No liquor so BYOB if you (like me) like wine with dinner.
We invited another couple to dine with us because we had gotten rave reviews from people who dine out often. My husband's meal (chicken athena) was very flavorful. My selection (scallops and shrimp over pasta) had zero flavor except for the olive oil the food was swimming in. Sadly, one of our friends ordered the same dish as mine. Would recommend you go to this restaurant, but make sure rather than asking the top sellers on the menu, ask for the most flavorful, unless you like bland.
It was a reunion of our old neighborhood. We had a great waitress (Kate) and the food was excellent. We will definitely return.
As usual, always enjoyable. Staff was very accommodating for a large group we brought on a weekday night for a Dine & Donate event.
Great place to have dinner
Always good food, lots to eat, service excellent.
We always have a fantastic meal and continually have this as our "go to" restaurant when down in the Brandywine Valley area.
First time at Floga. Classic Italian dishes. Excellent pizza- handmade crust. Homemade meatballs. Most everything I would rate above average. One negative was that the pollo parmigiana was severely overcooked. Their Italian gravy tastes homemade and is quite good.
Really good food with decent portion sizes, just be aware that it is BYOB.
Great experience! Server was excellent:appropriately attentive, anticipated our needs, including bringing me oil without cheese because I mentioned my dairy allergy. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. Definitely going again.
Very good traditional Italian food. The seafood soup was particularly good, delicious broth and loaded with seafood. I will go back just for that dish! The service was friendly and efficient. Great casual dinner spot and the BYOB is a plus.
Never thought about going to Floga for a burger. The burgers were actually pretty good. We usually eat her for Italian!
Great food every time. A Kennett Square favorite.
Floga Bistro is a BYOB with lots of energy and decent Italian food. We had the penne pasta, upgraded to wheat for a charge. Meatballs were good, chicken parmesan was good, gravy was decent -- pasta tasted like same old box pasta I can buy for a buck at the grocery store. Waitress was efficient but not very friendly and did not go out of her way for anything. Very nice vibe and great place for conversation. Casual dress and fast service. Worth a visit as prices are decent. Had a Groupon which made it worth the trip.
Going out to dinner on Friday nights during Lent is challenging yet we all found something we liked.
Excellent Specialty Pizzzas. Pasta dishes are good. Service was excellent.
Run of the mill strip shopping center pizza/Italian restaurant. Not exceptional in any way
Pre-visit to Longwood Gardens. In addition to the fact that it is right down the street and thus convenient, food, service etc. was very good. Waitress and owner was attentive. Will definitely head back when I am in the area.
Our waiter, Neil was very friendly and knew the menu well. The food is always fresh and prepared and presented well. The specials change frequently and never disappoint. We had a group of 7 and everything came out together, which doesn't always happen at some restaurants.
