The service and drinks were great but the food was way overpriced for the quality.
Went for my son birthday. Was not busy. Seemed to be only one server. Took a while to get things but the food was excellent! Salmon was cooked the way I requested it. Daughter in law loved the shrimp and grits. Said it was the best she had!
Zero ambiance or atmosphere for a New Years Eve dinner, service poor - one waiter working entire section, manager totally unprofessional. Felt like a brightly lit diner. Food was very good so wasn’t a total bust.
New Years Eve
The food was wonderful, the lights just low enough to create an adult ambiance. It was lovely! The prime rib is perfection, and the salads are the freshest in town. A perfect place for pretheatre or game meet up with friends.
The Flint Restaurant is very attractively furnished and clean. The social distancing was of the highest caliber.
Our server started out with a very negative attitude, which seemed to worsen as the meal went along. Our food arrived just barely warm and one prime rib was nearly well done even though we ordered medium rare. The server never appeared, even to clear away our salad plates, until we were finished eating. In view of the fact that it was Christmas, we decided to just make the best of the situation and just enjoyed one another's company. Dessert was served but no coffee was offered and when we asked for whipped cream for our pumpkin pie, we were told that somebody would have to go down stairs and get it.
After we left we discussed our experience and one of my party said she had watched another served at a table near us and it appeared that their server was very pleasant and was at their table any number of times and stayed nearby in the background whereas ours just disappeared.
The next day I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager, a gentleman named Justin, and told him what had transpired. He listened very patiently and, after asking several questions, said he would refund the price of the meal. I told him that we had eaten the meal but he said it was not what should happened and our Christmas dinner should have been a pleasant one.
I have received the refund and will return to the Flint. This is because I feel the manager is very sincere in wanting everyone's eating experience to be a pleasant affair.
And I'd like to erase the rather negative opinion with which I left that day.
Great venue for Christmas lunch with my wife food was excellent and the atmosphere was great!! The pumpkin and pecan pie was best I ever had. My wife and I have dined at Flint many times in the past. Never been disappointed.
Service was slow and food was not hot. Just not up to higher end quality.
Another memorable experience!
Salad’s were below average
Had catfish and the sauce made half of it uneaten. Chicken fired steak was good Dessert was average.
Party of two on Christmas Eve. Our server was very nice and she had a very difficult table next to us. May give them a try when outdoor dining is open. First time customer
We had a $42 steak and it was not good... fatty and had some gristle. I would not go back.
Service was terrible. Food was decent. The place itself was really nice. For the cost though, we were not impressed.
Great food and drinks!!!
A bright spot during the recent power outage for good food, service and value.
Good food & comfortable seating. Great dinner. If I had to pick something to improve, it was easy to hear all the conversations coming from the kitchen. But definitely not a deal breaker.
Maybe the host didn’t communicate but it took our server over ten min to bring us water and greet us. When she did she didn’t mention the wait and just seemed annoyed we were there the whole time. It wasn’t busy. The cheese board was $12 and had old apple slices, four piece of cheese and some bread...not worth it at all. Our mains were fine but nothing to make up for the ambivalent service and mediocre at best beginning.
Not going back.
Great food and great service in a downtown location.
Worst experience I have ever
Justin was an excellent host/server. The food was very good. Steak was a slightly overcooked but still delicious. I recommebt
Great location and setting. Service was a little slow even though it was not a busy day. Food was very tasty.
My wife and I had a wonderful evening. I recommend this restaurant for everyone.
Good time, only had the cheese board due to slightly slow service and being on a time crunch!
Oh it was amazing we will be back to try dinner next !!!
The atmosphere and the food were both excellent! My friends and I will be back for brunch again!
It took a while for someone to acknowledge use when waiting to be seated. They weren’t busy by the way
It was our 18 year wedding anniversary and we chose to dine with Flint because we ate there for our ten year. We were a little early than our reservation time but since it wasn’t a full house that wasn’t an issue. We were placed near a table of the hotel entrance near a table with a family and several children. The kids were playing games in between tables and making a lot of noise. Our waitress was also doing room service and would disappear for long periods of time. I had asked for a glass of wine with our steak and it never came. We were not charged so I didn’t complain. Our steak was supposed to be medium and it came out like jerky. It was dry and well done. We also had to ask for our candle to be lit. It was so disappointing that was our 18th wedding anniversary celebration. It felt like we were eating in a family restaurant and there was nothing made special about it. In the end my husband and I agreed at least we were together.
It was okay. Limited menu due to covid, not many people in restaurant.
My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday dinner and loved the food. The service was slow and it took quite a while to receive it. Other than that our waiter was very nice and the vibes of the restaurant were good.
Kevin is AMAZING!!!!
Great atmosphere , great service, excellent food and cocktails, good value and selection.
Besides walking in and having to put on a mask for an 8ft walk to our booth it was a good experience. The ribeye wasnt worth $68 dollars, it didnt have much flavor, but it was cooked perfectly. Probably worth $35 to 40. They didnt have straws, except for little paper ones for mixes drinks, and the ice hurts my teeth. Nice place though.
Came in August during the COVID pandemic and they were following all health and safety protocols. The restaurant was relatively empty so socially distancing wasn't an issue. Waiter was attentive, but not too much. The sweet potato fries were great, thinner and more crispy than most places. Broccolini and turkey club were also good. I'll definitely be going back!
Excellent food albeit pricey and it took us close to an hour to get our order. There were only 2 or 3 groups in the entire resteraunt. Service was decent but didn't do anything to make our experience special.
We went for our anniversary, we were seated as soon as we got there. The waiter sat us,and then left. He came back 5-7 minutes later we ordered my husband ordered a beer. It took 15+minutes to get his beer. During our entire wait time people in bathing suits/bathing suit robes were walking through the restaurant right by our table, I know that isn’t the restaurants fault but that was a huge turn off too. When the waiter brought our food out mine was right but my husband’s was not, he then brought the correct one. We ate and the food was DELICIOUS! after dinner I wanted dessert they had 2 choices neither I wanted and our plates were clean. The waiter walked off and never came back with our check. After waiting a good 10 minutes with no water or food in front of us I asked the other waiter for our ticket. For a dinner that cost $70.06 before the tip I would expect something much better!
Nice enough but definitely not Nice; good place to hangout celebrate with friends, coworkers but not a intimate celebration locale.... but the food is better than a Ruth's place (any of them).
Fantastic place to eat and good service. We enjoyed it.
We were a little disappointed that the menu was limited to 5 regular breakfast options and there was no disclaimer of the changed menu until after the 2 hour drive there when we read the menu. I think had we known this we would have a chosen a different option that wasn’t 2 hours away from our home to enjoy a birthday brunch.
Seemed like coronavirus has shorten the staff here. Only saw 2 servers for the whole restaurant. Steak was not worth it unfortunately.
Well it took over an hour to get our dinner. There was hardly anybody in the restaurant so it wasn’t very crowded. I had a $68 ribeye because there were no fillets on the menu. The flavor was great but it was very fat and gristle he. The drinks were amazing our hostess was nice and the ambience was wonderful.
Food was great and servers were really nice.. HOWEVER, it took so long to get our food. We waited 30+ minutes for our appetizer and we’ll over an hour for our entrees. Luckily we weren’t in any hurry but it was a little frustrating. Overall a great restaurant. We will likely go back.
