So much fried breading on the catfish with very little fish. Found two bones. Very greasy. Fries were cold. Very disappointed this time around. Bring back the meatloaf!
I felt our service could have been better he seem like he did not want to be there at we had to wait on our drinks after we had to ask for a drink menu.
Always amazing! We eat here at least once a month and it is always fantastic!
All went well. Very pleasant dinner and evening. Good food, good Service.
Never been disappointed at Flint.
The pace of service for brunch was incredibly slow. 45 minutes to get brunch food is way too long. Toast dry, served without butter, had to chase down server to get butter. Needs a good manager.
The server wasn’t very attentive everything else was great
No wait. Friendly staff. Delicious food. The Spicy Bloody Mary was the perfect morning-after-Bedlam cocktail.
Perfect Thanksgiving dinner. We’ve been going here for holidays for years and have never been disappointed.
We had Thanksgiving Dinner at Flints and it was excellent. The food, the beverages, the service - all wonderful. It was a bit pricey for two, but we would go back again.
I would recommend Flint with disclaimers. It felt like the food service was disorganized and the kitchen was overwhelmed. I absolutely appreciated the fact that Flint was open for Thanksgiving and the wait staff was wonderful and they were working hard but the host staff was inattentive and did not seem to be assisting the rest of the staff. There seemed to be a disconnect. The wait staff was warm and wished the patrons a happy Thanksgiving whereas the greeting staff was in their own world happy to stay out of the chaos. But they weren't even hospitable or welcoming. I suspect that everyone was overwhelmed and there were no expediters in the kitchen. The food was good, but with only an ok dessert. I hope Flint decides to open on Thanksgiving again but with better planning, a calmer environment and a true hospitality staff that can offer some snacks at the table and some prosecco and festive music playing. It felt like a stressed out Thanksgiving at my house.
My family ate Thanksgiving dinner at the Flint. The food and service was super. We look forward to another visit. try it out. You will like it.
We are paying the exhorbitant price of $45 for a meal and the menu has a fabulous descriptive array of food but this meal was flavorless, bland and dull. The table of 8 was served at all different times, sent back two prime ribeye, no bread and butter served -super slow service and waited for dessert for e v e r, finally arriving was a cold piece of pecan pie. At the 2 hour mark still waiting for a check. Embarrassing thanksgiving as I invited my parents and in-laws to the most expensive meal I’ve ever hosted and it was an epic fail. I feel jilted. (Also when I made the reservation it was because I read an article dated October 2019 which said Flint would serve Thanksgiving Dinner for $28 each and the printed menu on arrival was $45!!!!!)
The food tended toward adult flavors with burbon and rum sauces. I was disappointed in the squash and apple bisque as the flavor seemed covered by some seasoning making it difficult to taste the squash and apple. The ham didn't chew like fresh, baked ham but more like processed ham. The roasted turkey breast was delicious and the sweet potatoes and smashed potatoes were delicious as well. Generally, I didn't think the dinner quite lived up to Flint standard but I enjoyed my meal all the same. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. I don't regret our decision to eat Thanksgiving dinner at Flint but will probably try someplace different next year.
We had a really nice dinner. The service was great. Chad was awesome.
Excellent food and service, and the atmosphere was great. The people in the table behind me were loud but, other than that, we enjoyed our experience!
Had a reservation at 6 pm--showed up on time. Hostesses said they did not have a table--we'd have to wait--which turned out to be a 30 minute wait. We observed that there was a basketball game at the adjacent stadium and this was causing a huge jam up in the restaurant. Since we are from out of town we did not know about the game nor why there was a huge delay in being seated.
The hostesses should have explained to us what was going on--invited us to the bar and help us order a drink instead of just leaving us fuming about why we had to wait for a reserved table.
Server was very cavalier and rather flippant--when we asked the table be wiped up from the smear of water left by the busboy, it seemed a big inconvenience for the staff. We ultimately wiped the table with our placemat.
My Cosmo tasted like a watered-down watermelon somethingorother--awful! But my dinner partner had a great dirty martini with great bleu cheese stuffed olives.
Food was better than expected after all the aforementioned issues.
My salmon fab.
We MAY try to go back when we are next in town for biz. But we'll certainly be sure NOT to go on a game day nor drink anything mixed.
We enjoyed it, but I honestly do not know if I would go back. The food is not "INCREDIBLE" and the service was just OK. Very few people in the resturant and we basically ordered "bar" type food and it our dining experience was over an hour and 1/2. Kind of ridiculous for basic easy food. There is nothing spectacular to make me want to return to this restaurant. The decor is fantastic, but that's not enough to make me want to return. So, while my experience was not an awful one, it wasn't one to make me want to go back, especially for the price.
Took a long time for the food prep.
One of the best eating experiences I've had in a long time. The location was fun, the service was great and the Salmon was phenomenal. My wife and I loved it and will be back.
Disappointed my favorite hanger steak was not on the menu. Also disappointed there were no chicken dishes
AMAZING GOT SECONDS OF BISON CHILI!
Eliot was fantastic and very personable and knowledgeable as well as being very attentive. Great recommendations!
We had a wonderful experience this afternoon.
Definitely a better experience sitting at the bar compared to previous visit where the server disappeared for 30 minutes at a time.
Best screwdrivers and ‘classic’ plate in the city.
One bartender was great- the other didn’t seem very personable considering his role as bartender.
The food was on point. But it did seem redundant that the staff had to return to the kitchen for butter, jam, ketchup, and hot sauce. I’d assume butter and jam for toast would have been a given. Staff seemed slightly annoyed to have to make the trip back.
Live music was entirely too loud.
Service is SO slow. Be prepared to be there at least 2 hours for a meal.
I was bummed to know the hanger steak and shrimp dish was no longer on the menu.
Simply outstanding food and service. The ambiance is tremendous, great date place.
It was delicious and the environment was very relaxed
The food was sub-par, w pork roast exception. Burgers and salmon were overdone, never seen anything like it.
Food was good. Pot roast was excellent. However the strawberry shortcake was very small for $9. Maybe one strawberry diced with a small hard biscuit. A little high priced for the amount of food but great atmosphere.
We were there last Sunday. We had brunch. It was very good, but I must truly compliment our server and another gentleman who was bussing tables for their assistance to us when a little 3-year old who was with us became ill. They rushed right over to the table, cleaned up everything, and were terribly gracious to him and to us. A really big thank you to them. The ambiance was great. There was a very good live jazz band playing some quiet music. The food was good. My husband had a HUGE plate of pancakes, way more than he could consume. It looked as though one person's steak, with the steak and egg choice, was tough. He seemed to be having trouble cutting it. He said it was fine, I think because he was our guest. The prices are very reasonable. It is a very nice venue. This is our second time there. The first time the service was a little off. It is very convenient if you are downtown. We will go there again, I am sure.
Great for a late snack. Terrific service!
There isn't enough I could say about Flint! I have tried a lot of the menu and its always amazing. The service is always the best. And the ambiance is anywhere from romantic to energetic. My wife and I go all the time. Their vegetarian dishes are so flavorful--must try the succotash side dish, jalapeno hush puppies and the cauliflower Harissa is so good! Their burgers and fries hit the spot as do any of their salads. The salmon is always made to perfection.
I don't have time to write about the brunch food menu--its all amazing!
I haven’t been to Flint in a while, and there’s no good reason why. The food was outstanding, as always. I had the Scottish salmon and my friend had the brisket tacos. The salmon was so buttery and flavorful, asparagus was perfect, but the mashed red potatoes did taste a little stale and cold...perhaps leftover from breakfast. It didn’t stop me from eating them, but they weren’t very nice. Service was on-point. Our waters were never low, the service was prompt which was fantastic since it was during lunch, and the atmosphere was lovely and quiet so we could chat. Thanks for a great lunch.
The food was amazing. It was the perfect portion of food. My mimosa was amazing with fresh squeezed orange juice and the service was great as well. I will definitely recommend it and be back.
Food and ambiance great, servers were confused as to who should wait our table.
This is our second visit - it’s been a few years in between, and the food and service has gone up. Had the ribeye and fish special-sea bass in a honey glaze. Both were delicious, especially the fish. Good drinks and wine selection.
Great food and service Our waiter, Kevin was attentive to my gluten free diet. He made great suggestions for wine pairings and after dinner drink. Great time
First time visit. Highly recommended venue for great food and very attentive service. Quiet enough to allow good conversation which is increasingly rare. Good value menu for a high end restaurant. Thought it was better than the posted rating on line in all ways.
Service was poor, food was okay. A bit overpriced.
I can’t say enough about the Mac and cheese. But I’m a Mac and cheese addict.
