We only went for breakfast, so that’s all I can speak too. However, the selections were innovative and everything was very well prepared and tasty. Service is friendly and quick, without making you feel rushed or being intrusive. We liked Flint so much that we came back the next day without even looking at other options. The only downside is parking, there isn’t any.
Honestly it was mediocre. It was good mediocre, but definitely not worth what we paid for it. My husband order the ribeye (market price:$44) he said it was very good, but he’s had better steaks for much less. I ordered the gulf shrimp with andouille sausage, and I felt the same way. It was good but way overpriced for the value. The service was pretty wretched also, and the dessert menu was very disappointing.
Brunch was good and mimosas were a great value!
Great food and service!!!
Decided to have Sunday brunch here for my wife's birthday. Don't regret the decision. Food was delicious. Service very good. Have been here before, we'll come back again.
Out of trout @7:00 pm
Braised pork = boiled pork
Girlfriends burger had butter pickles and meat was dry and tasted like it was soaked in liquid smoke.
Really disappointing visit.
5 stars! Quiet and private dining with excellent service. The shrimp and andouille with grits was outstanding as well as the Arkansas free range chicken. Price was par for the course for a nice dinner
My business associates and I had a lovely early evening dinner at Flint. The Hamburgers are simply the best ever. Service is great, atmosphere is great, prices are reasonable.
It was much louder than expected which made our work discussions difficult.
I had the catfish tacos with slaw. I think I would've preferred the slaw inside the taco instead of garnished on top. This made it clumsy and difficult in getting slaw and fish in each bite. Without the slaw, the taco was dry.
Atmosphere is great for people watching, but that wasn't our purpose. Will definitely be back for a different occasion.
Flint was great and we will be back!
Great atmosphere! Great food! Great location! Great service!
Wonderful food and service! Will definitely be back for another special occasion or night out!!
I selected Flint since it had above average reviews and was located near The Chesapeake where we were headed for a concert. We were very impressed with the food and just about everything else. The service was good. My husband dressed up more than he would like since the website stated the dress code was business casual but no dress code was being enforced so guess that is just a recommendation. We will definitely go back and I will get the Scottish salmon dish again as it was wonderful. My husband really enjoyed the hanger steak with shrimp. Thanks to all that created a wonderful meal and to our waiter.
We went to FLint to celebrate a birthday and try FLint for the first time. The drinks were delicious and refreshing. The trout dish was fantastic and worth coming back for. Service was great.
Just wasn’t what I expected. My meatloaf was cold in the center and my coworkers brisket tacos were mediocre warm.
The salad I ordered, once I started cutting into it, gave off a rancid smell. I hardly ever send anything back but this was enough to turn my stomach. By the way our waitress disappeared & I had to ask for help from another waiter 20 minutes after we were seated...The waiter had no problem taking it back which was nice and then the chef came out...oh boy...he asked me what was wrong...I asked him to smell it, he then had the audacity to look at me and say that I probably wasn't used to things being cooked in Virgin Olive oil and was used to canola oil & that, that is what it smelled like to him. He doesn't know me from Adam...my first time at this restaurant. We eat well and out often & live in San Diego where we have AMAZINGLY great general & upscale restaurants!! The manager then came and apologized and thanked me for bringing this to their attention and offered to pay for my meal that I didn't want, which was nice... I told him I wasn't looking for a handout and that I'd like to order something else and ordered a hamburger to be on the safe side. This also wasn't very good, I don't know how you can ruin a hamburger but I just ate half at that because I was hungry...the only thing that was OK at this restaurant were the french fries...nice seasoning on the skinny fries, easy enough. My daughter wanted dessert so after we were done eating I once again had to catch/ask the nice waiter walking by (not our waitress) for the dessert menu...he took our order & then after 10-ish minutes walked to us & said it would be right out...20 minutes later I asked the person at the host stand to tell "them" I'd like our dessert to go...it was a simple cookie with chocolate pudding...you get the drift...no need to bake it & order at the same time as ordering ones meal. From our waitress disappearing, to the food less than stellar, to the insulting chef, to the attempt at making it right & failing at that really...you're better off somewhere else trying to have dinner.
We have been consistent patrons of Flint over the last few years But I doubt we will come back for quite a while. The last three times that we have been there at least one of us has had some poor food issues. This last visit my wife’s hanger steak which was requested to be cooked medium was served very rare. Usually this isn’t a big deal. They take the steak and put it back on the grill cook it some more and bring it back to the table. They supposedly did this but when they brought the steak back again it was no better than it was the first time and my wife just didn’t want to hassle with it anymore and went ahead and ate the edges and left the rest uneaten.
The manager did not charge us for that meal which was nice of them to do and if this was the only time something like this happen then it wouldn’t be that big of a deal but this is the third time in a row
Great food with great service. Wonderful for a date night.
Waitress was not knowledgeable about menu and misleading of charges on bill.
I do not recommend. I'd rather go to
Chic Fil A. We waited so long to get our food. Like 1 hr 45 min it was ridiculous. The menu tries to be super fancy but it's just basic stuff.
Overall, an unfortunate experience. The atmosphere was great, and the architecture/decor/lighting were executed nicely. Cocktails were excellent, and wine by the glass had a good selection although slightly pricey. The main disappointment here was timeliness of our entrees, which arrived approximately 50 minutes after ordering. One entree came out piping hot, but the other was barely in the "warm" category. They offered to take it back to warm it up, but it didn't help much. Perhaps the waiting ruined our appetites, but the food was not exceptional once it arrived.
Flint is a great go-to place.
Waiter was aggressive at first at first warmed up afterwards
We had a great anniversary dinner. The food was great and the service was excellent thanks to our waitress Destiny....
In town for the National Baptist Convention. Visited the facility with a party of 6. Kevin was outstanding as our server and met everyone’s needs. Compliments to the chef for all aspects of our meal! The Molasses cake is to “die” for! Send some to Wisconsin!
We were there on a Monday night, so quiet, but food was excellent. and great location in downtown!
We were not entirely thrilled by the complimentary bread or that our entrees being different and having the same sauce. The atmosphere is very nice, service was outstanding and our entrees were great tasting. The cost was a bit over the quality of food but we were impressed overall. Traffic from the hotel makes for great people watching. The coffee after dinner was incredibly delicious and is highly recommended for anyone sticking around after dinner.
It was a wonderful evening of fine dining!
Food was exceptional. Only complaint was I had a reservation at 630 arrived half hour early to have a drink in the bar. Once we were seated at our table, we waited 30 min before our waiter decided to wait on us. Apparently there was a mixup in what waiter had tables in sections. I feel like the ball was dropped. But overall it was ok. I'd def fone back. Garrett was our server.
The first time we went to Flint we were not impressed but decided to give it a second try based on positive reviews. It was much better this time. Food was very good, but the service is still slow. As long as I had the time for a leisurely dinner, i would go back.
We had a reservation for 6 PM before our OKC Broadway show and arrived shortly after that time. The restaurant was hardly full. It took us almost 10 minutes to for us to get drink and app orders taken (the hostess that seated us brought us water). We placed our entree orders along with our app order. It took just under 1 hr. for us to get our entrees out. To the waiter/manager's credit, they comped our app (and my wife's coffee). But this is now the 3rd experience I've had at Flint where the service was unusually slow. Next time, we'll likely go across the street to Mahogany's. Better service (and better food) for the price.
This was my 2nd time to eat at Flint. We were given a gift voucher after such a poor dining experience after the 1st time my date and I visited the restaurant. The food was terribly salty the 1st time and we ordered different entrees the 2nd time and they were still too salty. I would recommend Flint only for a cocktail/appetizer hour and not for dinner. I would also think their dinner menu is somewhat lacking. I am a huge meatloaf fan and they only offer it for their lunch menu. The whole dining experience was disappointing to say the least. I like the location and ambiance as my date and I were able to visit and have great conversation. The service was good...However, the cocktails we ordered were good but the rest of our meal was not very good and way too salty. That being said, we gave Flint two chances and feel that we are going to try other restaurants in the area.
Kevin our server was great. Really personable. Good service. Great food. No complaints here. Thank yall. Well be back.
10 yr anniversary
My husband and I ate here before a show at the Civic Center. We had a very attentive wait staff, delicious food and an extensive drink menu. They have complimentary valet parking when you eat there or if you want to leave your car for $10, they offer shuttle service to the Civic Center.
First time for brunch while visiting family. Reviews looked good but don’t bother. Never saw my server and when I did she was dropping off barely warm coffee. Host people should have got a cut because they did all the work. I had to flag them since we were by the host station and no one ever stopped to ask. Food was over cooked- menu says poached but it arrived boiled. Only reason I didn’t send it back was because it took dang long to get the coffee and the food begin with. If you want to enjoy brunch plan it somewhere else.
Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful. Best dirty martini I’ve ever had. We’d definitely dine here again.
Great seafood (Halibut w/corn chowder)! Soup and Salads were also good. Quiet place to enjoy a romantic evening. Nice outdoor bar. Very happy with the experience.
