We had a great anniversary dinner. The food was great and the service was excellent thanks to our waitress Destiny....
In town for the National Baptist Convention. Visited the facility with a party of 6. Kevin was outstanding as our server and met everyone’s needs. Compliments to the chef for all aspects of our meal! The Molasses cake is to “die” for! Send some to Wisconsin!
We were there on a Monday night, so quiet, but food was excellent. and great location in downtown!
We were not entirely thrilled by the complimentary bread or that our entrees being different and having the same sauce. The atmosphere is very nice, service was outstanding and our entrees were great tasting. The cost was a bit over the quality of food but we were impressed overall. Traffic from the hotel makes for great people watching. The coffee after dinner was incredibly delicious and is highly recommended for anyone sticking around after dinner.
It was a wonderful evening of fine dining!
Food was exceptional. Only complaint was I had a reservation at 630 arrived half hour early to have a drink in the bar. Once we were seated at our table, we waited 30 min before our waiter decided to wait on us. Apparently there was a mixup in what waiter had tables in sections. I feel like the ball was dropped. But overall it was ok. I'd def fone back. Garrett was our server.
The first time we went to Flint we were not impressed but decided to give it a second try based on positive reviews. It was much better this time. Food was very good, but the service is still slow. As long as I had the time for a leisurely dinner, i would go back.
We had a reservation for 6 PM before our OKC Broadway show and arrived shortly after that time. The restaurant was hardly full. It took us almost 10 minutes to for us to get drink and app orders taken (the hostess that seated us brought us water). We placed our entree orders along with our app order. It took just under 1 hr. for us to get our entrees out. To the waiter/manager's credit, they comped our app (and my wife's coffee). But this is now the 3rd experience I've had at Flint where the service was unusually slow. Next time, we'll likely go across the street to Mahogany's. Better service (and better food) for the price.
This was my 2nd time to eat at Flint. We were given a gift voucher after such a poor dining experience after the 1st time my date and I visited the restaurant. The food was terribly salty the 1st time and we ordered different entrees the 2nd time and they were still too salty. I would recommend Flint only for a cocktail/appetizer hour and not for dinner. I would also think their dinner menu is somewhat lacking. I am a huge meatloaf fan and they only offer it for their lunch menu. The whole dining experience was disappointing to say the least. I like the location and ambiance as my date and I were able to visit and have great conversation. The service was good...However, the cocktails we ordered were good but the rest of our meal was not very good and way too salty. That being said, we gave Flint two chances and feel that we are going to try other restaurants in the area.
Kevin our server was great. Really personable. Good service. Great food. No complaints here. Thank yall. Well be back.
10 yr anniversary
My husband and I ate here before a show at the Civic Center. We had a very attentive wait staff, delicious food and an extensive drink menu. They have complimentary valet parking when you eat there or if you want to leave your car for $10, they offer shuttle service to the Civic Center.
First time for brunch while visiting family. Reviews looked good but don’t bother. Never saw my server and when I did she was dropping off barely warm coffee. Host people should have got a cut because they did all the work. I had to flag them since we were by the host station and no one ever stopped to ask. Food was over cooked- menu says poached but it arrived boiled. Only reason I didn’t send it back was because it took dang long to get the coffee and the food begin with. If you want to enjoy brunch plan it somewhere else.
Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly and helpful. Best dirty martini I’ve ever had. We’d definitely dine here again.
Great seafood (Halibut w/corn chowder)! Soup and Salads were also good. Quiet place to enjoy a romantic evening. Nice outdoor bar. Very happy with the experience.
Our first table was not where we wanted to sit and we were moved to the best area near the beautiful fire and bar. We loved our server and food. Excellent restaurant!!!
The food was great. We were there for 2 hours. I am not sure but there seemed to be on waiter for a huge section and we waited for over an hour for our entree. Other than that, it was excellent and super fun.
We enjoyed the food, we only saw our waiter maybe 3 times, glass was empty a lot of the evening. The food was good- service was a little disappointing, but we will prob give it another try in the future.
This was the second time we went here. The first time gave us great burgers and sweet potato fries. This time was just disappointing. The burgers were just okay and the fries were cold. My son’s chicken tenders were over cooked and he didn’t eat them.
Service was disappointing noting we were next to a table of about 25 people. She was very polite but didn’t come around much and we just had to flag her down to get our check.
Flint usually is a good place for dinner, however we had a bad experience for brunch. Two orders were not what was ordered and when one of our party ordered another item, it never came. The server seemed new, but if she is, she needs more training or supervision.
We have always loved the service & food at Flint. The kitchen is always fast, making it a great place to eat before a game, concert or theater. This was NOT the case on Friday, May 25. We were seated within 5 minutes of arriving and ordered within a few minutes of being seated. After about 40 minutes we finally asked the waitress to check on our order. She gave us the old excuse "we are busy tonight". Isn't that the purpose of a restaurant at meal time? When the food arrived it was warm but not hot.
With all of the places to eat downtown, Flint really needs to keep on their toes. We will give it one more try when it's just the 2 of us. It was embarrassing to take a friend and have the food & service be bad.
excellent service both before and after the James Taylor Concert.
Wonderful experience. Very good food
Made reservation for pre-concert dinner. Even though we were late 10 minutes for reservation, they held table and were so very nice. Great dining experience and food was delicious!
We visited Flint for our anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We were seated next to a window viewing the Gardens across the street. Everything was brought out well timed and tasted wonderful; pimento cheese + pumpernickel toast, masa batter fried catfish, lemon + herb stuffed trout (tomato risotto was on point).
Excellent service, delicious food!
My first visit here was great, the second time was incredibly disappointing.
We wanted to take my mother and mother-in-law to an early dinner for mothers day and bought our two small kids. There were only the options of 3:00 or 3:30 pm. I picked 3:30, but wasn't bothered at the time at going to an early dinner because we were bringing our kids and hoped it wouldn't be too busy. The problem was that their kitchen was closed and only serving items like salads and sandwiches from the "small bites" menu.
I wish there was a note on the reservation page or that would have called to let us know the full menu wouldn't be available.
We decided to move to Bricktown to eat.
Food tasted great, but later both of us got sick.
Nice place, very DEAD on a Sunday evening. They were out of BBQ sauce? How does that happen?
I love having brunch on Sundays...I miss the saxonphone player who use to play there. Aspen is an AWESOME waiter
As you can see we thought the ambiance and food were excellent. It is a beautiful setting. The service began just fine, and then we observed our server leaving the building, mid-shift. No one came to our table to say they would be taking over, and we were just kind of left alone for the last half of the meal. We did eventually get our table cleared and our check, but the service was irregular even before we observed the server's departure. I recognize she may have had a personal emergency, but it would have been nice if someone had acknowledged that they were our new server. The house merlot, is excellent. We will return and give it another go. It really is a beautiful venue.
Looking at the prices on the menu, I didn’t expect such a nice restaurant. The look and feel of the place had class. The food however was kind of disappointing. It wasn’t bad food, it just wasn’t anything extraordinary. The dessert however was very good! Our server wasn’t the best either. He seemed nervous and would often offer something like refills, bread, or drinks and would forget to bring them. Despite all this, I had fun spending time with my family, but we probably wouldn’t eat there for dinner again. I still would like to try their brunch because I’ve heard that’s amazing.
It was our first time visiting Flint, we’ve been wanting to dine here for a long time but with a baby it’s hard to get out of the house. Finally was able to for my husband’s birthday. Husband and I had the special, which was filet mignon with Demi-glaze and veggies. I ordered mine medium and he ordered his medium well. Both were both on the medium rare side, not bloody but very very very rare. Raw meat from top to bottom for the most filets. Not edible at all for our taste. Flavor and overall were good, just wish it was cooked right. Waitress didn’t come by for awhile to where we were completely done with our sides and outer side of the filets to have it fixed. She was very nice and provided wonderful service.
Tried to order after dinner dessert drinks, but bar tender told waitress they did not have the ingredients when those ingredients were also in cocktails featured. We found this odd, and not a very good excuse. They were quite busy, so maybe there were a lot of drinks being made. We ended up having one dessert and plain coffee. The steak was okay. Loved the Mac n cheese.
Brunch was wonderful
Good brunch. Bloody Mary a little weak but that’s me.
We ordered burgers. Both were burnt. Really? How is that even possible. The last 2 times I have gone to Flint the food was really bad. I won’t be going back. The same is true for 8 friends who ate there as a group last month. Flint is just bad. Everyone should avoid.
We stayed at the Colcord for our honeymoon and ate at Flint while there. It was fantastic with helpful staff. We went back on Sunday to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. We were very disappointed in the menu selection and the staff's cavalier attitude. There was no effort made to accommodate us with anything but a brunch menu. The $12 burger was not worth it. We had such a wonderful experience last year, but after this attempt for a nice celebration, we won't be back. Truly sad.
