Walked into a near empty restaurant on a Thursday evening. Perhaps that was our sign. An apathetic bartender at the bar started our evening. We should have left but persevered to the meal. Waitstaff was unrefined but not terrible. Food was inconsistent. Chili and pasole were outstanding. Dinner entrees came out lukewarm at best. Underwhelming experience. Do not need to visit again.
This was our second visit. The first time the service was very slow. This time the service was good but one of the fish entries was not edible and the remaining three entries were low-flavored, subpar. Would not go back.
We took our out of town guests to eat at Flint, we all loved the food, service, and the cocktails were good. The desserts were wonderful and not the usual that are at every other restaurant. We will be coming back.
Service was terrible and wait staff was not knowegable on the menu. The restaurant seemed over staffed for the amount of people in the restaurant. Our waitress had our table and one other table and we barely saw her the entire time. Our appetizer didn’t come out until our meals came. Brunch meals were dissapointing. I ordered the Flint Benedict and I had such high hopes. But it ended up being the worst Benedict I’ve had. The candied bacon they used was half fat. They barely put any hollindase sauce on it. I asked the waitress for extra and her 5 minutes to go to the kitchen and bring it back and it was cold. Worst brunch restaurant I’ve been to. Would not recommend.
Wait time was very long, and the price was not comparable to the quality of the food. The kitchen needs to work on getting the out faster and the manager needs to be more attuned to what is happening in the restaurant by making sure to table touch every 20 minutes of so. Disappointed to say the least.
The mussels and the beet salad were both amazing!
Salmon was a bit disappointing - under seasoned. Husband loved shrimp and grits. Overall great restaurant!
The trout dinner was awful. Did not seem fresh, far too smush and it ruined a especial ocasion. The staff was friendly and professional about it
Good food and service. Waitress split our meal and chef customized the key-lime pie, changing the topping from meringue to a home made whip. One of the best key-lime pies we have had, on same playing field as Red Rock. Burger was really good too and the pimento cheese dip was surprising good.
They were out of the wine I ordered, and the waiter said they had a similar wine as a replacement. Only they didn’t have that replacement either. Finally, they found a comparable Chardonnay. However, they charged for a more expensive wine, which was corrected once I pointed it out to the waiter. I ordered the trout, and it was very bland and the risotto was greasy and salty. Just overall not a good dinner. We were disappointed as we had read the reviews and had been looking forward to a nice dinner.
Restaurant wasn’t busy for Saturday brunch but service was slow and forgot 3/4 people’s sides.
Really nice ambience. Menu items for everyone. Cheese and charcuterie board is a must.
Ricky the waiter was fantastic. He was at tentative and flexible.
Went for brunch- unusual items but very tasty! Loved the fresh squeezed OJ!!!
Had a bbq burger. the bacon was cooked so much that I couldn’t chew it. other than that it was a nice experience.
There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Ate twice, both times just snacks. Dillon our server was great. We have had dinner in there before, never disappointed!
Awesome service and awesome food!!! We had a great time!!!
Flint is one of my favorites places I have never been disappointed . Love the patio area
As usual the service and staff were outstanding. My friends and I can’t wait to go back.
Me and my boyfriend went for Sunday brunch because a friend recommended Flint. I’m going to assume they had a different cook because his French toast was awful hard. I got the sausage crossing sandwich and it was ok. Our waiter however must have not been a morning person because he rarely checked on us. Wouldn’t visit Flint again.
After getting through the obstacle course which is downtown Oklahoma City currently, we were met by the parking valet who promptly and courteously took the car for us. The restaurant staff was ready with our reservation and we were, again promptly, taken to our table. The waitstaff was quick to arrive and take the drink and appetizer orders. Entrees were excellent all around and everyone order something different, so there was a good sampling of diverse menu items from steak to chicken to shrimp and andouille. All diners reports great food. Though stuffed we had desserts which were likewise scrumptious. Ambience is quiet enough for good conversation among friends. Outstanding meal overall and reasonably priced for an upscale restaurant. Tell your friends, you won't regret it.
Had the steak of the day, 10 ounce rib eye. Cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly and sides of mashed potatoes and peas were sumptuous. Also had burger with smoked bacon and blue cheese. It was the best burger that I have ever had and reasonably priced. They even did a birthday portion carrot cake for my wife and it melted in our mouths. Amazing food!
Our malbec wine was served cold. My steak was very tasty, but I only ate a few bites as I was somewhat full already. I took it home and came to find out only later that 3/4 of the steak was nothing but fat. Our waiter was poor and unattentive. We had to flag him down for service and ask him for drinks and dessert
Chicken fried ribeye was great, along with several other dishes we had (pork skins, pimento cheese), only entree out of five that wasn’t good was the catfish. Very undercooked and the masa breading I think it was just wasn’t good. Still great place for lunch or dinner!
I suspect that Flint could be a great place to dine, all around - food, service, ambience etc. Unfortunately, our experience was mediocre which made the bill a bit of an insult. Our waitress was socially awkward and long waits in between services. Dinner was good enough, but the dessert was Not good and I am a foodie who knows my desserts. YUCK to their chocolate Pot de creme, which happens to be one of my favorite desserts of all time. The Pecan “pie” NOT a pie, more like a giant pecan bar with okish flavor, but nothing to write home about. For the price, I probably would not recommend Flint to a friend. I wanted to like it, but didn’t.
Excellent dinner and delicious unusual cocktails. Amazing service!
Great menu and fantastic location.
The service was amazing. My friend ordered a very unique meal and chef came out to make sure how she wanted it and then came back to make sure we where happy with our meal.
We only went for breakfast, so that’s all I can speak too. However, the selections were innovative and everything was very well prepared and tasty. Service is friendly and quick, without making you feel rushed or being intrusive. We liked Flint so much that we came back the next day without even looking at other options. The only downside is parking, there isn’t any.
Honestly it was mediocre. It was good mediocre, but definitely not worth what we paid for it. My husband order the ribeye (market price:$44) he said it was very good, but he’s had better steaks for much less. I ordered the gulf shrimp with andouille sausage, and I felt the same way. It was good but way overpriced for the value. The service was pretty wretched also, and the dessert menu was very disappointing.
Brunch was good and mimosas were a great value!
Great food and service!!!
Decided to have Sunday brunch here for my wife's birthday. Don't regret the decision. Food was delicious. Service very good. Have been here before, we'll come back again.
Out of trout @7:00 pm
Braised pork = boiled pork
Girlfriends burger had butter pickles and meat was dry and tasted like it was soaked in liquid smoke.
Really disappointing visit.
5 stars! Quiet and private dining with excellent service. The shrimp and andouille with grits was outstanding as well as the Arkansas free range chicken. Price was par for the course for a nice dinner
My business associates and I had a lovely early evening dinner at Flint. The Hamburgers are simply the best ever. Service is great, atmosphere is great, prices are reasonable.
It was much louder than expected which made our work discussions difficult.
I had the catfish tacos with slaw. I think I would've preferred the slaw inside the taco instead of garnished on top. This made it clumsy and difficult in getting slaw and fish in each bite. Without the slaw, the taco was dry.
Atmosphere is great for people watching, but that wasn't our purpose. Will definitely be back for a different occasion.
Flint was great and we will be back!
Great atmosphere! Great food! Great location! Great service!
Wonderful food and service! Will definitely be back for another special occasion or night out!!
I selected Flint since it had above average reviews and was located near The Chesapeake where we were headed for a concert. We were very impressed with the food and just about everything else. The service was good. My husband dressed up more than he would like since the website stated the dress code was business casual but no dress code was being enforced so guess that is just a recommendation. We will definitely go back and I will get the Scottish salmon dish again as it was wonderful. My husband really enjoyed the hanger steak with shrimp. Thanks to all that created a wonderful meal and to our waiter.
