The food was very good and portions were appropriate. I got the pork shank and my wife got the trout. Both were excellent. The tomato risotto was amazing. The service was very good. The ambiance was good. We would go back for future occasions.
I brought 2 guests. They loved their meals, though mine was just so-so. But the room is airy, the tables are well-spaced, the atmosphere is sophisticated, the noise level was pleasant, and the service is excellent. I wish the menu had more variety, but I feel sure the chef would have prepared any variation based on the ingredients used in menu items. There were no very young children when we last dined at Flint, which was fine by me. There is no nearby parking, so Flint provides free valet parking (for which a civilized person should tip very well).
We went on Mother's Day around 3:30. I was disappointed to find out that they were only still doing the small bites menu with limited choices. There were only 2 other tables in the restaurant and it took almost 15 MINUTES for a sever to come over and ask us for our drink order. Overall, the chicken strips were very overcooked, the jalapeno hushpuppies were delicious, the small bites menu was reasonably priced. I was disappointed in the initial service and quality of food for the atmosphere of the restaurant. Not sure I would go back. The server did comp our hush puppies to apologize for the wait upon arrival - which we appreciated.
Beautiful and great service. Food was lukewarm to cold and dishes did not come out at same time. It was a busy day- Mother’s Day but disappointed.
Food was ok. Waitress was fine. Not the greatest but definitely not the worst. Probably won’t go back.
We chose Flint as the place we wanted to have family brunch to celebrate our son's graduation from OU.
Location & restaurant beautiful. Our server was great. Upon arrival we ordered 4 coffee drinks & 1 Bloody Mary, we ended up cancelling all but 1 coffee drink and the Bloody Mary, because 20 minutes after ordering our drinks we still had none. Our server explained there was only 1 bartender and he had to make all the coffee drinks and alcoholic beverages. When we cancelled our order and switched to regular cups of coffee, we were told they would have to make a fresh pot of coffee. I would understand if we were ordering coffee at an odd time of day or night, but this was at midday during BRUNCH. which would imply coffee would be readily available. We were disappointed that on graduation & Mother's Day weekend they would only have 1 bartender for entire restaurant during brunch. Our server did his best as this was completely out of his control. The food was excellent!
Unfortunately, when we recommend the restaurant we have to give a little disclaimer due to our personal experience.
We had the brisket po’ boy and the trout. App was fried green tomatoes. All were delicious. Service from Espana was friendly and excellent. An excellent experience we will repeat when next in the area
Service was very slow, even though the restaurant was mostly empty at 1:00. We ordered yogurt parfaits, which were the worst we have ever had, since the berry compote was over-the-top too sweet. Yogurt, granola, and some simple, fresh blueberries/strawberries (no compote or added sugar) would have been much better. Typically, People who order parfaits are looking for something on the healthy/lite side, not something laden with sugar. Also, our coffee was luke warm upon arrival to the table. I couldn’t eat the parfait, due to the sweetness, so I ordered a side of eggs and a biscuit. Again, the restaurant was almost empty, but it took more than 20 minutes for the eggs/biscuit to arrive. We would not make the 30 minute drive to come here again.
Potatoes were greasy, eggs were cold and toast was burnt. Highly disappointed, but server was accommodating.
Meh....that is all
Our waiter Jose was great. He made suggestions on wine and appetizers, all of which were excellent. Definitely going to have to visit again.
There were very few people dining, and we could not get our waiter to pay attention to us. I’ve had this experience both times that I’ve eaten here. I don’t think we will go back.
One hour wait for food and the shrimp bowel was not good. Was too watery.
We chose to have brunch at Flint to celebrate a birthday in our family, and were extremely disappointed. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a very rude hostess. Then it took about 20 minutes to have the waiter come by to take our orders, and finally it took one and a half hours to receive our food. Other than that, it was great.
Waited for over an hour and a half after reservation to be served food.
Kristen was our server. We were brought waters and immediately ordered a carafe of mimosas. It took 40 minutes for our server to come back with the carafe. We ordered our food and it took an hour and a half for it to come out. We were obviously upset with the horrific wait times and lack of service and made Kristen aware. Multiple times the 2 managers on duty noticed we were sitting there and never stopped by. Our party of 3 women go to brunch on the regular and we will NOT be coming back here.
Breakfast took 2 hours. Kitchen was very backed up.
Service is a tad slow but excellent quality of food and the staff is top notch. Can't wait to go back!
Food was great. George and the staff were AMAZING. The atmosphere made for a great experience
Great food! My boyfriend and I had a fantastic date night. We did have to wait over an hour to get our food, but there were several prom parties there so I assume that is why.
Great place with a great look. They were a little busy while I was there so the service was not the best, but still got everything out on time!
We’ve had the same waiter twice now, basically brings us our food and never comes to refill drinks.
Mediocre breakfast. Eggs were overdone. Over medium doesn't mean hard in the middle. Food was luke warm. Try the Renaissance. It has a great buffet.
Perfect spot for dinner before the game.
This was our first visit to Flint. We were wanting to try something new and nice for Easter Sunday. On the way to the restaurant we received a call to confirm the reservation and was told that they were only serving off of their small plate/bar menu. While disappointed be decided to go ahead and give it a try. Well, the small plate menu offered very limited choices, again disappointing. The service was fair, we had to ask for silver ware. Our food took far to long, and no bread or anything was offered while we waited. The food arrived and again, I would say it was fair. After the meal, there was no offer for dessert or after dinner drinks, we had to ask. Overall not impressed and sadly will probably not give it another try.
Great food and service. We had to wait a bit for our table but it was worth it. The hotel was gorgeous
The service was VERY VERY slow, then when we got our food it was not good. My parents were in town for Easter weekend and I was excited to have them try Flint. My mom got eggs benedict and it was brunt. My eggs were cold and my husbands salad looked like it had been sitting for a while, the lettuce was wilted. I was very unhappy with the whole experience. This was my second time dining at Flint and my first experience was fine but I won't be going back anytime soon. Very disappointed.
Flint is always great! Service, food, and ambiance are perfect!
Over charged our tea!
First time and last time!!!!
Had a good time and the food was delicious
The waiter took very long to refill our drinks. The food took half an hour to get to our table. There was a seasonal vegetable succotash that had a south western taste to it that didn’t not go with any of the food.
We stopped in for wine and small plates during a trip to Oklahoma City. Wines were excellent choices by the glass. The fried green tomatoes were the best we ever had! Jalapeño hush puppies were also great and the roasted beet salad. Kevin, our waiter, was wonderful! Beautiful view of the fountain in Myriad Park. Fun watching all the professional photo shoots going on in the park!
The food is good. The restaurant is very nice. BUT, the food is messy when you think about the location and clientele that would eat at this place.
I have never known very many places to batter catfish in such a way. The fish and fries were extremely greasy and I could not eat the outer parts. I plan to dine again, but for the first time in for lunch I was not terribly impressed.
We wanted to get out of the office for lunch and decided on Flint.
Took the family here for breakfast and had a pleasant experience. Food was delicious, staff was great and the atmosphere was good.
Brunch was delicious although the service was a bit slow.
Our prom students really enjoyed Flint! Thank you!
Everything was amazing!! We will be back!
