Flights - Mountain View
Flights are interesting and the main courses are good. The noise level is very high and the service is spotty.
We had the Martini flight. Excellent taste and plenty of alcohol. We shared both the salad flight and the steak entree. The steak was excellent. Tow of the 3 salads we liked. Buy that is probably just our taste preference. The service was excellent served by Kash(pronounced). We are definitely going back. Only complaint was the piped in music. It was too loud and not our style.
We lived our waitress. She was attentive without being intrusive. Food and drinks were great. Enjoyed our evening at Flights very much.
Flights can take your evening take off!
Server was prompt at the beginning - but forgot to follow up on something we ordered. After waiting 30 minutes, we asked about it and he said he went to check. I think he forgot to put the order in.
Ceviche - sauces all tasted the same.
Should have been different types for the different seafood.
Ordered the Stix - the beef was really tough to chew.
The whole restaurant has two servers. It took forever to get the service. The have this server request door bell which they don't pay attention to it at all. I would never go there again.
An absolute waste of money. Everything was far too salty except the salmon, which didn't have any flavor. Heavy and overpriced. Small, dirty tables.
Food quality has improved; shared flights were nice portions
Menu was limited. We went to flights a year ago and they had a much better menu then
The staff was very friendly, the bar tenders were amazing and the food was tasty.
My first impression when walking up to Flights was not good, all of the windows were dirty - hand prints and smudges on all of them including the front door - and the planters could use a bit of TLC. We decided to give Flights a chance, even though it made us wonder whether we should actually go inside. We both ordered burgers and were surprised that the person helping us didn't ask how we wanted them cooked. Once the burgers showed up at the table they reminded us of frozen hamburger patties. Extremely disappointing. The accompanying fries and salad were passable. We will definitely not be returning.
Cute theme, love the idea of small plates and cocktail flights. We had the salad flight, dip flight, strip flight, and grilled chicken to share. Everything was really delicious, fresh, and filling; each flight can make a meal.
Food was okay, but way overpriced. Only 2 tables at lunch time.
Great server. Found the menus to be dirty and in need of cleaning. Hostess station had a dirty towel laying on top of the counter. Bad first impression. Restroom out of paper towels and in need of cleanup. Not a great value but fun concept to try once.
Nice idea and execution. All the items came in flights of 3. Everything we had was tasty. I took my husband here for his birthday and I was expecting them to sing or bring out a cake but the service just took longer than expected. Overall, a nice experience.
A great time. Service was excellent and our needs were met well. Will definitely return.
The food was good, and a fun idea for a restaurant, but really, does anyone want to hear Highway to Hell blasting over the air while dining on anything anywhere. Just not a good dining experience. Staff was pleasant, but they brought us our check before we even got our desserts! A bit rude, me thinks. No one was waiting for the table, so go figure.
We loved our food & drinks. Our waitress was very pleasant. I’m glad we went.
Celebrating a friends bday
These guys were great. let us bring a bday cake and put it in the freezer. Super helpful, thanks guys.
Lunch with a girlfriend. Great food and service. It was very quiet due to few diners at the time.
Very bad wine selection. Bad service. Good not all that great either. Not going back.
Bad wine selection. Lousy service. Food not great either.
Suggest letting the customer select the flight from a wider selection of wines. Add some European wines.
Service was good, courteous and timely. Food was excellent. The noise level was okay, but it did start to get loud as the evening went. It was our first time there and we were a group of 8 and every single person was delighted with the service, food and drinks.
Good tapas and extensive drink menu. Food is small portion which is good for drinks and casual gathering.
I have been to this place 4 times before and will not be going anytime soon.
It was one of the worst experiences at a restaurant. The service , the food - everything was terrible. For about 20 minutes no one even stopped by to serve water. After the order was placed and the waitress came by, she served us our food AND our check at the same time. We hadnt even gotten our drinks yet. She was clocking out and wanted us to pay even before we started eating. When I said we may eat more, she said we will need to place orders again and get a new check, but we need to pay now for what we had ordered for. She was pretty swift in taking my credit card away, but we had to wait another 10 minutes and remind her thrice that our drinks hadnt arrived.
eh. Bar food in a bar atmosphere with bad martinis and inattentive service. Really not worth the money. It is unfortunate because we were excited to try this fun new concept. Tried reaching out to the owner/management team about my experience via email on their contact page. The owner and I connected once but we were both busy and he said he’d call me the following day, but he didn’t. I would rather speak to them than leave a review but the follow through wasn’t there which is reflective of the service during our experience at the restaurant. Bummer, won’t be back... and no need to reach out at this point.
What a fun concept. Two of the three of us had not been to Flights before. We tried a number of dishes/drinks and had a great time. Our server was helpful and efficient. The restaurant is very large. It was a Tuesday night and surprisingly few people were there, especially for downtown Mountain View. I hope Flights establishes a solid client base and is around for a long time. I know we will return.
Food are bad
The restaurant theme idea is great! Very creative. But the service was not so good. the waiters were definitely enthusiastic but in our group of four people, we were all served at different times so some of us had no food at all! I guess they assume we are all sharing but we were there for brunch so 3 of us were almost finished when the fourth person got her food! Food is creative but not especially good... presentation is great!
Note sure if they just opened, but understaffed. We waited at least 20 minutes for our drinks, got one of three orders and I grabbed our other from the bar as it sat there for 5 minutes. Had to remind them of my order of drinks and three items of food we ordered. Food was just okay.
The place was maybe half full, but the noise level was horrible.
Food was inconsistent...guess their highly touted chef was not at this property.
Flights is a very unique venue, offering entrees in "threes". The aviation theme is clever too. Our theater group of 8 all enjoyed our first flight here, and everyone seemed to like the item they ordered. Many were shared. They need to do something about the excessive noise level tho.....made for a "Helen Keller" evening, with most having to repeat themsleves.
Food was meh. For the price could get tastier and higher quality food elsewhere. The falafel was fried in hot oil such that outside was over cooked and inside was undercooked. Hummus dip was not smooth and creamy. Sliders were tiny for cost.
Good place to hangout with friends !
Great food and drinks !
We enjoyed our experience at Flights. The food was nothing special but not bad by any means. Our server, Adam, was the highlight of our dining experience. He was professional, attentive and so much fun to interact with. He made the experience so much better than it would have been without him as our server.
I ordered the sidecar flight - unbalanced and cheap alcohol. Couldn’t even drink any of the 3. Also ordered $20 mediocre mac and cheese, and the tuna (Two of the three were good). Way way way overpriced. Food was not good. Got an upset stomach later that evening. Music was too loud for two of us to have a conversation. Service was friendly and good though. Won’t be returning.
We had been to Flights when they first opened in Mountain View and our first impression was great. This was our second visit to the restaurant and the food was just meh- not a lot of flavor. The service is always very prompt and courteous and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the place however we probably won’t go back because we paid more than what we thought we should based on what we received.
Yes but the service was awful. Some young kid was not trained properly and was lost. It was a disaster
