Flights - Los Gatos
I expected Flights to be a total gimmick with less than stellar food, but with the exception of cold mac and cheese, everything was really tasty. The response time after pressing the call button wasn't prompt and the server dropped one of our desserts and got whipped cream and mousse all over the table. Overall it was a fun night and the small missteps didn't ruin the experience.
Great food. Something for everyone to taste. Can't wait to go back!
THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD. The pork sliders, the pizza was 10/10. Coming back to try the rest!
Absolutely loved this place! This was me and the hubby's first time at flights what a wonderful experience. Went for Valentine's Day date night and had such a wonderful time! The food was exceptional and the service was even better. We had such an awesome waiter named Doug he really made our experience even better as he was so nice and fun. He treated us as family and made recommendations on each dish. We got the mac and cheese, the meat tacos, and the shrimp they were all to die for. Very well made and greatly seasoned. The beer flights are a perfect buzz and the cookie flight is a must for dessert. Highly recommend. We will be back to visit Doug and the restaurant very soon for another great endeavor. Also Doug hooked us up on a pass for a free flight the next time we come in! Super impressed!
Valentines with the family
Great food.. great server and tasty drinks
Great for people like me who enjoy a variety of foods at their meal. But it becomes expensive for food and service that are average.
There were three of us so the trio of food was perfect. Our server was Juliana and she was great. Helpful and sweet. We all loved the food and will definitely be back.
Nice place if you go really early for fun food. Otherwise it is horribly noisy and crowded. Food is fun and not fine dining, however the portions were good sized.
We had heard but never been to the Flights and were pleasantly surprised. The food was nicely proportioned, and while on the spicy side, quite tasty. The “flights” of drinks were well made too with a tad bit more ice than I was accustomed to. The wait staff were incredible: very attentive and knowledgeable. We would recommend this place and would go back there again.
Fun! Entertaining, nice idea of tasting menus combined with a creative theme.
Lot's of fun, interesting airline theme and enjoyed tasting three variations of each choice. fun to share with others. Service better than past reviews indicated. Very busy and noisy, but still enjoyable.
Loved this place! The food and drinks were so good. Can't wait to go back!
Excellent food and drink, but relatively small portion sizes.
It's a fun place! Service and food was good so we will go back there for sure.
Tuesday night—-always more quiet than a weekend night. Love to bring first-timers here because it’s so unique! The food is dependably good. Never disappointing! My brother loved it.
A group of four of us went to celebrate our birthdays. Three had never been before. Each one of us thoroughly enjoyed the food choices. Such fun, flights of food and drinks in sets of three. Not a problem for four of us, we shared and had plenty. The desserts were great too! Check it out.
We enjoyed eating at Flights. It is casual and a bit noisy. The bar has a tv showing sports. The restaurant has a large lounge for eating in ‘family room’ style. The food is served as small plates flights. Every plate has three of something. The food is good. The service has not good. They were either short staffed that evening or just unorganized. We canceled our dessert after waiting 20 minutes. I will go back for the food but at a different location.
Service was slow. Drinks small, food was okay
Came for my friend’s birthday. She received a chocolate mousse cream with strawberries and a candle. Ordered a lot of food and 2 flights of drinks. Very busy on a Saturday night. Made reservations prior. That helped as we didn’t wait long. Would come back!
We were seated as a reservation for two, next to a party of 16, so the noise level was a bit loud, which would be expected. However it took over 30 minutes for a waitress to approach our table, which is unacceptable. Once we were placing our order, I advised her we were in a hurry, that we had to be in Downtown Campbell by 7pm. She did not return to our table again until I waved her down at 6:45. Another server brought our food, and even then they brought one "flight", and then the other didn't come until 20 minutes later.
Overall it was a terrible dining experience, especially as this was the first time we had tried to dine there.
Interesting menu and good ambiance. However, the service isn't up to par - disorganized and lack of training. We'll probably give it another try one of these days, but they really need to work on training their service team and management.
Mediocre food and subpar drinks, nice staff though
It was a great experience we arrived before the rush hour for dinner arrived.. the waitress was helpful and prompt for service. However I did notice they were short staff and noticed the manager on the floor helping out as the restaurant got packed.
Everything was good except timing of food. Expect everything to come out in no particular order.
Service wasn’t great and we were seated by a very large and loud group. We also were against a service table which seemed odd.
The service was terrible and the food and drinks were even worse. Seriously overpriced! I should’ve torn up a $100 bill and thrown it out the window rather than spending it at this place. The mojito flight tasted like water with some fruit thrown in, the angus sliders were overdone and salty beyond belief yet the mac & cheese oddly had very little seasoning. Fries and tuna flights were actually good but I didn’t go out to dinner to just eat fries. The servers really don’t need to say “have you flown with us before?” 😂 It added a cheesy element that made me feel like I was out at a theme restaurant with my 7 year old instead of date night with my husband. We nearly left before ordering - I wish we had - as we couldn’t get a server to our table. There’s these little control panels on the table with a button to contact your server if they don’t come back to get your order. We pressed it 4 times over the course of 20 minutes or so but the servers just kept walking by. My husband finally flagged someone down and said maybe the button doesn’t work. The server pressed it, her watch lit up and she says “it works, we’re just busy up front.” Customer service 101 probably says apologize to customer then take order but avoid making customers feel like Economy class. Don’t waste your money here!
Celebrating family with our kids! Thank you for helping to make our evening so memorable! We will be back!❤️
For people who want to try multiple variations or having trouble deciding.
Key tip* do not order multiple things and expect them to stay warm.
Order something hot and something else. Then order hot after finishing the first round. If you do this, be sure to tip the staff for “running the table” if not, you are rude and don’t deserve this jem of a restaurant.
The food isn’t that good. To heavy I think. You could go through the menu in 2 to 3 visits and most likely not go back. The main waiter we had was great.
Always great food and drinks. Fun food sharing. A great addition to Los Gatos restaurant options
This was the first time both of us tried the restaurant. The waitstaff was friendly but almost too layer back (we’re used to attentive staff who check on you more often, clear plates, etc.). We’ll definitely come again to try new food items!
This was our first visit to this restaurant. Each of the flights we ordered were delicious. The calamari, fries and ahi tuna were our table favorites. We’ll definitely try the restaurant in our Campbell neighborhood.
Good snack before a holiday party.
Had a reservation but waited 30 min. for them to actually sit us down after me asking them if we need to sit ourselves down since no one seems to care. They were short staffed and the poor hostess was doing everything ( serving, clearing the tables and cleaning) terrible management. Will not go there again.
We had a delightful time! A very fun concept with delicious food and drink. We'll be back many times!
We drove to Los Gatos last Sunday night to see the Christmas light drive event and figured we would get dinner beforehand. I looked online for a fun, yummy, inexpensive place and Flights sounded great. My son and husband were looking forward to trying three of lots of different things on the menu, LOL. Unfortunately we managed to pick the ONE night of the year where they do a Swedish Buffet. I didn’t see anything about it listed on their website or yelp or anything. The hostess did tell us about it, so we could have left... but it was late, pouring rain, and it did look fun inside. And we like buffets okay! The food was good... nothing super fancy, but we liked it. Cocktails were strong and good. We were pretty shocked when we got the bill, though... $70+ per person!! It was good but nowhere near that price. The restaurant my husband is a chef at does a fabulous buffet on Thanksgiving and New Years with tons of seafood, prime Rib, steak, etc etc... Huge spreads of high quality stuff and it’s $60 a person. Of course it’s our fault for not asking the price beforehand, but it doesn’t seem like type of place to ask that much. Oh well. I’m sure it’s fun and a better deal on other nights. Although it’s mostly our fault we couldn’t help but leaving disappointed.
We had a great time at Flights. Food was good! They did a good job elevating foods like burgers, pizza and fries. The drinks were good as well. Better for groups than dating in my opinion. It was very busy and loud which is ok if you’re going with a group of friends or coworkers. My date and I had lots of fun as well regardless we didn’t mind it since everyone seemed to be having a good time:)
Food was good but some items we enjoyed more than others. But that is why its more of a tasting. We all had a great time. It was a little loud so hard to hear the convo at our table. Bit would go back maybe for brunch.
I love this restaurant. Great way to try a bunch of different options. Flights of beer are a must.
