The service, ambience, and general experience was grand! The Thai mussels were DELICIOUS, the bread was good, and the chicken dish was delicious! The French fries were totally unimpressive, tasted like McDonald’s. Next time no fries, but we will come back!

This restaurant used to be my favorite one for years! I think however, the quality of their food and service has dropped! They have removed my favorite Florencio from the menu and the quality of their mussels was poor. We ordered Parma but the cheese was of low quality. The waitress looked too tired and seemed to have very low patience.

The restaurant was very busy and lively but our waiter remained cheerful, helpful and attentive. Our table of four shared some appetizers and sides — stand outs were the delicious Parmesan fries and Brussel sprouts. We had different types of mussels (Dijon, Classic and Negril) which we all enjoyed with fresh bread to dip. The four mini donuts dessert was the perfect end.

Service here was incredibly bad. Everything was slow, after finishing our food our waitress was nowhere to be found for over 30 min. The mussels are served in a big pot that makes them awkward to eat, and only 2 pieces of bread come with each. We would have asked the waitress for more, but she never came back.

Flex Mussels is not only the best restaurant on the Upper East Side, it's one of the best restaurants in New York City. What stands out? The mussels (obviously), the fresh oysters, the lobster roll, the filet o' Flex sandwich, and of course the famous donuts! Five Stars!

We used to live Flex Mussels and would go whenever we had company in NY or if we were in the mood for a great meal of Mussels. This time we went the mussels were tiny and also had some sand in the mussels two of our meals Service was very good. Overall it is a pass for a while going forward.

Raul was the best server! It was our first time at Flex Mussels and everything was lovely. Food came out fast and tasted fresh and delicious. Even the young man who filled up our water glasses when they got low was very attentive. We will definitely be back!

Mussels are always great here, no matter the preparation you choose. Three salads are offered to start and we like the Bibb lettuce with blue cheese and apples. Very good cocktails and wine offerings. Do order the truffle fries. The dessert selection is slim. Donuts are promising and good for sharing, but lackluster in sugary fried dough balls. Can be extremely/painfully noisy as it was this evening and we were fortunate to be seated "outside" in the enclosed patio where we could actually have a conversation. Our server, Haley, was cheery and helpful. I prefer dining here during the week. Saturday evenings are a bit frenetic.

The thai mussels were just right; I wish I could have poured out the broth and taken it home! We also had the salad with baby romaine which was crunchy and delicate at the same time. Service was excellent, with a waitress who helpfully gave us the brand name of the cute light on our table.
