Nestled in the picturesque village of Lowonsford, on the banks of the Stratford Canal, between winding country roads that used to be part of the Forest of Arden, The Fleur De Lys is the very best kind of country pub. Packed full of quaint charm and quirky corners beneath its C16th wooden beams, The Fleur is a cosy haven in the winter and an extensive paradise in the summer. There are so many tiny wonders packed into this historic building that you will always find something new to fall in love with when you visit. Our garden boasts an acre of land to run riot on and a low level wooden children’s playground, alongside over 30 tables and benches. We’re ideally situated for walkers and ramblers who wish to explore the canal towpath or a variety of local walks. If you’re intending on zooming through this part of Warwickshire on a bicycle, The Fleur makes an excellent intermediary watering hole to fortify you for the ride ahead.

Our first experience of eating at Fleur de Lys. Lovely setting. The staff were very helpful particularly as my friend had been unavoidably delayed, our table was kept for us. The food was piping hot although we were a bit disappointed with the Beetroot Wellington which sounded delicious but the beetroot was overpowered by herb seasoning. We wished we had chose a meat pie instead. Everything else was delicious especially the treacle tart. Would have given 5* for service but the young lady serving the pudding must have been having a bad day.... Would definitely recommend

Food is very good and reasonably priced, service was very friendly but a bit slow. The whole ambience of the Fleur de Lys is exactly what one would expect of a good canalside pub. The pies are excellent with a good amount of vegetables.

Really hot day & both the pub & garden were very busy. We felt for the staff who were still running round with a smile on their faces & finding time to have a friendly chat with their customers. The food came out in good time & despite it being busy, it was top quality food as always- a good portion of roast pork, crispy crackling & all the trimmings. The kitchen staff must have been expiring. But they were much appreciated. Well done Team Fleur. Another great meal as always.

Really disappointing night out for us. The only booking time available was 8pm. As we got seated the waitress said we stop serving food at 8pm so you need to choose really quickly or you'll be too late. Within 4-5 mins they were back for the order. We ordered 2 fish and chips one with mushy peas one with garden, one burger with no sauce and a pan fried salmon. Just before 9pm out food arrived. Two fish and chips with mushy peas. One burger oozing sauce. Despite me not getting the peas I ordered I just kept it. The Burger had to be sent back to get all the sauce removed. The batter on both our fish was soggy. Neither of us ate them. Noone asked us if our food was OK. We had been in the beer garden for 9ver an hour and saw lovely food being bought out but this was not what we received. We then got overcharged by £10 because the waiter couldn't split the bill. In his defence though a few minutes later he did come back and say sorry he had overcharged us. We told him to keep the money. All in all it was a disappointing meal out for us. I wont book again

Booked a table for 2 at the Fleur de Lys on a Saturday night. Despite not now having ownership of the F de L pie brand, what else could you do other than order one of the pies they do still produce. Very good they were too. My wife is gluten intolerant but the pub had a varied selection of gluten free options, including several in the pie range. She had Chicken and Mushroom, which she pronounced as one of the best, perhaps the best gluten free pie she had ever tasted. This came with a large portion of chips and a plentiful amount of vegetables. My choice was Steak and Stilton pie, which again was substantial but also was not short on quality. The only downside was that the number of gluten free options for dessert was somewhat restricted. The only one they could offer her was sorbet, which she didn’t fancy. So we went without a pudding. 4 hand pumps dispensing cask ale was right up my street, and the white wine was quite palatable as well according to my other half. The meals and drink were not what you could describe as expensive either. Lovely setting by the canal, plenty of outdoor tables and a glorious evening. Whats not to like? Definitely recommended.

We visit here quite regularly because we love it. The Staff are friendly and efficient and the ambience is lovely both inside and out. It has a Canal adjacent and they have a vast area of seating and dining outside as well as inside. There is also a childrens play area. We highly recommend the Fleur De Lys and if you do go you must try one of their amazing pies!
