   Jessie was the absolute best! She ensured that we knew the menu options and that my mom had the best Mother’s Day experience. The food and drinks were awesome! The food was seasoned well down to every bite. I will definitely be returning!

   Our waiter was Amazing , he was very personable and genuinely paid attention to every detail and ensuring this was an amazing Mother’s Day for my wife.

   Great service from the moment I arrived. Thank you for making me and my daughter feel so special, celebrating my 74th birthday. My daughter and I felt we were just talking with friends from the hostess to the man filling our water glasses. Thank you for a special day.

   My wife tells me that 18% of North Texas restaurants closed during the pandemic and that 30% nationwide close every year. So when we find “our spot” and our favorite menu items, we become pretty discerning about what the item should taste like or what great service from that particular restaurant should be. While restaurants love regular customers for the revenue, they can be a challenge to please. It’s a catch-22. But thanks to the skills of Christine, Tom, and Chef Alex, we never worry about, well, anything. If Christine sees our reservation via Open Table, we know she’ll do her best to reserve our favorite seats; she will often decorate our area and leave a lovely, personal note. Tom greets us with a smile and then leans in like we’re planning a conspiracy plot and asks, “are we doing bubbles?” And even though Chef Alex was getting ready to wrap up his day, he whipped up a refreshing avocado burrata salad as a surprise before heading out. Part of the bar experience is chatting up your bar neighbors. So it was this night as we traded wine stories with a couple next to us. Thanks to them and Tom, we finished off our evening with a glass of Rioja to complement the famous chocolate lava cake. Even though we’re not familiar with Spanish wines, this was a great experiment. And that’s the beauty of Fleming’s Plano - whether you’re in the mood for bar bites, a glass of wine, or a full-course meal, the team has you covered.

   Our waiter Arthur was fantastic 10/10. He was knowledgeable about the menu, personable, and attentive. The only thing we felt like service was slow. It took a long time in between courses. It was Easter dinner and the tables in the dining room were about half occupied at the most. First we ordered soup and salad. I drank ice water and my husband had a soda. My husband loved the Lobster Bisque. Lots of Lobster. My wedge salad was good. It took another long time, before Arthur came back to take our dinner order. By that time, I started to feel full from my salad. I felt disappointed because I was really looking forward to steak/seafood dinner. I did not order dinner. My husband ordered a steak cooked medium, a side of scallops and a piece of carrot cake to take home. Took a while for the dinner to arrive. Definitely not our waiters fault. The steak that was supposed to be cooked medium was more medium well. Not only was it overcooked, but it was really chewy for some reason. Scallops were good, but I actually cook them better at home with more sear and seasonings. When we got home, my husband ate some carrot cake. He said it was extremely sugary. My husband has a sweet tooth and it was too sweet for him. Our bill was $150 (before tip). I didn't even have an entree. We thought it was pricey for the amount of food we received. When I told my husband, we probably wouldn't be back, he said that he wanted to come back on a Tuesday night for Tomahawk steak special. Otherwise, we probably will not be back. Sorry Arthur. You were fantastic.

    Fleming’s review, Easter Sunday Going to your favorite restaurant can be a little iffy on a major holiday; it’s crowded, menu items can run out, and the higher volume tires the staff. And yet none of that was our experience when we swung by the Fleming’s in Plano last Easter Sunday. Accommodating a last-minute reservation for your regulars who like a certain spot at the bar is especially challenging on a busy holiday. We were grateful Christine worked her magic and set up a “reserved” space in the midst of her welcoming an endless stream of guests. Once seated, there was a warm chorus of “hey! Great to see you! You made it!” from Tom, Kandice, Preston, and Chris. Even though we arrived right before a shift change, both Tom and Kandice spent time with us before they left. Not long after, Scott stopped to wish us well and Haley swing by with a quick hug. However, the most unexpected visit came from Chef Alex. Usually, the chef rarely ventures out on crazy days with hundreds of reservations, but he and my wife love to talk shop about flavors and cooking. He heard we’d just missed the brunch window but saw we ordered the pork chop, which my wife loves. Chef Alex excused himself as the food arrived and the de facto sommelier , Leo, began to pair wines to complement our food. Imagine our surprise when not even 10 minutes into our meal Chef Alex returned with one of the Easter brunch entrees in hand. He smiled, laid the plate in front of us and simply said “enjoy!” He didn’t want us to miss out on the experience. In January my wife and I had the opportunity to dine at Le Jules Verne, the Michelin star restaurant at the top of the Eiffel Tower. It was high dining at its finest, complete with white glove service. As amazing as it was, we’d probably be fine with the one experience, whereas we’d be truly saddened if we never walked into Fleming’s Plano again.
