Being from New York and visiting a lot of steakhouses around I was surprised to find this to be a real gem . Looking over reviews for best steakhouses in Iowa , I was a bit cautious due to some recent reviews about service and food quality but I am not one to judge . We went and it was really good. Our drinks were on point , steak was good quality and well seasoned and staff very friendly . I only been to one other steakhouse while here visiting Iowa and although both were great , I’m choosing this place definitely over the other . We will be back

Terrific birthday dinner for girlfriend. Unexpected card, champagne, and dessert to make the evening special. Great attention from Fisz. We felt appreciated for dining there. Highly recommend!

We have not been to Fleming in a while and was very pleased with the restaurant. Their wait staff has always been good, but somehow they improved it. We went on a Wednesday and the place was packed. Good job Flemings.

As usual the food and service was outstanding. We have love the wedge salad and Flemings potatoes...oh and the lava cake. Steven was superb as a server.

Not one negative detail on the dinner. Service was impeccable. attentive. Steaks were truly prepared perfectly. Sides and appetizers were delicious also. I want to add, I travel a lot through out the midwest, eating at the top steakhouses. Other Flemings disappoint, but not the one in Des Moines. Each visit to the Des Moines restaurant re-affirms that it is one, if not the best in the midwest, and that is saying something!!

The food and service were really good. The main dining room seems to have a nice ambience. The room we were placed was a bit spartan and small. We were one of only a couple of tables of two surrounded by large groups which was distracting and busy with waiters buzzing by constantly.
