   Plenty of parking a short walk away , greeted at the door , short wait for table . Excellent menu with nice options for veggie folks . Had chowdery soup , very nice , then baked cod , first class , wife hadChicken and was very happy . Lovely food , although it take a good while for the main course ( 45 mins ) but it was worth the wait . I did feel that the manageress was working flat out , at break neck speed , but other members of the staff lacked any urgency , or enthusiasm , which is a shame . Some further training for the tall blonde girl with wavy hair might be worthwhile as she was only capable of doing one thing at a time , very slowly , and with blinkers on which stopped her seeing any thing around her ,

   Lovely lunch with friends on a Friday. We all had a main and a sweet. Super staff and tasty clean food. Good value. Will return again.

   I went for my birthday with 4 friends on a Wednesday evening. The service was great and the food was lovely. It was very quiet and towards the end of the evening we were the only ones in there however the piano player added to the atmosphere!

   We went for our anniversary meal. Service was good throughout but we were unimpressed with our starters which were not cooked as well as we had requested. When our main courses came, we were told that my steak might not be cooked enough due to being quite thick. On checking, that turned out to be the case so both main courses had to be sent away again. We did order extra chips in the meantime which we were not charged for, however. My steak was nice when it returned but my wife did not particularly enjoy her meal (duck). Overall the restaurant is a nice place and the staff very friendly but we were not that impressed with the food. Given the location with excellent competitors within walking distance, we would be unlikely to visit again in the near future.

   Family group various ages. Enjoyed experience food fantastic so was the service. Will definitely be going back.

   I Could not fault the staff or the quality of food. The only disappointment I had was I checked the menu prior to is coming, purely as we had three restaurants in mind. I choose yours specially on the puddings as it stated on the menu I prior to me booking that the pudding menu had creme brûlée on it. When we had eaten our I knew exactly what I wanted for my pudding and couldn't wait. When I had the menu the creme brûlée wasn't on there. I was gutted. Although 5* for the chocolate torte. Apart from that everything was perfect 👍

    First visit , liked the setting , staff excellent and attentive , 3 out of 4 meals excellent , steaks were cooked exactly as requested ( a bit more expensive than some other local restaurants so quality had to be right and it was) the vegetarian meal disappointing (partly our fault has not read that it was vegan so ingredients or lack of could have affected taste) BUT as a goodwill gesture restaurant refunded 50% of that meal cost which was not requested by us so very gratefully received and a very nice gesture. Will definitely visit again as a number of dishes n the menu looking inviting.
