Flavours of India
Boneless chicken breast marinated in yogurt, lemon juice and special herb and spices, grilled in clay oven in skewers.
Very mild and creamy chicken dish. Diced grilled chicken breast cooked with clarified butter, yogurt, cream, shredded coconut, peanuts, raisins and garnished with sliced almonds and fried onions. Flavoured with rose water.
Crispy patties filled with mildly spiced vegetables served with homemade tamarind sauce (2 pieces).
Flavours of India never disappoints. The authentic food and the service make this our go-to-spot when in Kingston. Thank you for a wonderful meal, and a bunch of leftovers!
Not impressed. Food was average and there were people coming in all the time to get their take outs walking right into the middle of the restaurant. One server only for the dine in clients and to hand over the take outs. Noisy and disruptive, not to mention the cold draft every time the door was opened.
Food is excellent; best Indian food in Kingston.
Services is excellent.
Price is right.
Tip: serve tea the same way as "Pat's Restaurant" does, which is nextdoor. Excellent tea is the only thing between what exists and perfection.
'Wonderful' to have this superb restaurant back on OpenTable app! People truly deserve to know and come to experience, the exceptional service and delicious food! Excellent Indian cuisine. Outstanding service and spotless interior. Highly recommend all dishes, including dinner for two and four combinations! Most delicious Mullagatawny Soup we ever had - mild chicken broth with lentils, fresh lemon juice, mixed vegetables infused with beautiful fragrant spices. BRAVO!
Very tasty food. Servers were attentive. Food arrived quickly. Valentine’s Day roses were given out -a very nice touch. Would definitely go again.
Excellent food and menu. Will be back!
My main concern is that every little thing was extra- most dishes have sauce. Rice is not included so we spent an extra $3.50 plus an order of garlic nan for $4.25. House white goes well with the Indian cuisine @ $5.95 per glass. I would recommend the restaurant conditionally.
We always enjoy the food here. Whether we dine in or order take out the food is always fresh and super yummy. Great variety!
My partner and I have never had a bad meal at Flavours of India. She’s vegetarian and I’m a meat eater. Every dish is delicious and the naan can’t be beat!
By far the finest Indian food we have ever enjoyed.
Food is fine but not as authentic as we wished. Chicken was a bit dry and tough in the tikka and vindaloo. Lanb korma was beautiful though
One of the best Indian restaurants I have experienced. The food, the atmosphere, the service were all the best. Great choices of types of Indian plates. Check out the menu before going so that you do understand there many choices of preparations they offer.
a wonderful experience that we will recommend to anyone. The noise level was just perfect.
food was incredible and atmosphere lovely
Visiting Kingston to help set up my daughter’s student apartment, which fortunately for her, is only a couple of doors down from this fabulous restaurant. We were with friends and decided to eat “family style” so we could enjoy a variety of dishes. We ordered the beef vindaloo, Rohan Josh, shrimp jalfrezi, and chicken tikka masalla- each dish was nicely prepared and the spice combinations were delicious, although a bit similar. Prices are very reasonable. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu!
Very good Indian Food. Easy to find gluten free choices, even an excellent gluten free beer!
Food is delicious - very authentic
I will definitely go back
We always are satisfied after having a meal at Flavours of India.
Prompt, efficient service and excellent. food.
Food was very good and reminded me of my favourite Indian Restaurant of all time in North York - Cuisine of India... The food was very tasty and well prepared we (4 of us) started with chicken and vegetable samosas --- they were a little greasy; but what do you expect? We also had some minced beef kabobs - similar to Persian Kubadeh (sp?)- fantastic taste... We tried Chicken Tikka; Tandoori Shrimp; Lamb Curry; Beef and mushroom curry; all very good with diverse flavour. If there was an area that they could improve upon I would have to say the timing between appetizers and the main course was a little long (can't recall the precise time) - if the time is longer because of the cooking method then the wait time would be the perfect time for the restaurant to promote its appetizers with complimentary teaser portions... I would definitely go again!
Excellent food, highly recommended, amazing discovery
Wonderful restaurant with amazing food and great, kind, and welcome service. Perfect for one to one hundred persons, and can tailor a option to suit your palate or flavour preferences.
Will be going back again and highly recommend everyone to try the best authentic Indian food Kingston has to offer!
Excellent and highly recommend. Consistently attentive, caring service in this lovely restaurant. Wonderful ambiance and decor within. We arrived on a Saturday evening with another couple, were seated promptly with a smile. The restaurant was very busy with many tables full. The menu is superb with descriptions of the various dish origins. Deliciously fragrant dishes. Enjoyed the Palao rice with ginger, garlic, cinnamon, clove, bay leaf and saffron infusions! Delicious warm naan bread, also, Chicken Korma cooked in yogurt with peanuts, raisins and coconut. Desserts are amazing. Especially loved the Borfi- a coconut, cheese pastry with crushed pistachio. Very highly recommend this 'exceptional' restaurant in Kingston, Ontario! Also, recommend for special occasions. A gem!
Food was fresh and very tasty, service was excellent!
Highly recommend for Special Occasions! Tremendous flavours savoured in a truly comfortable ambiance. My spouse and I, together with another couple, are in awe with the lovely, attentive service experienced. Aromatic, savoury sauces. Fantastic flavors. The food is spectacular! We truly enjoyed our Combination Meal For Two A with Shrimp Korma, which was braised in a delicately spiced yogurt sauce, and Lamb Curry. We highly recommend this amazing restaurant! We will definitely return in the near future.
The service is lovely and they are very attentive. The food is so delicious; we ordered the Palak Saag Paneer, the Butter Chicken, Palao Rice and Naan. Definitely get the Mango Lassi if you go!
Fantastic flavours. We all loved everything! The food was spectacular. Service was fast and kind.
Food was so fantastic. Everything we ordered was amazing. The vegetable somosas were so good. Food was served very fast. Loved and would go back
Excellent Indian food - friendly and swift service, too!
Food was excellent! The service was slow as it was Valentine's Day and it was very busy. Provided free appetizer for the wait which was appreciated.
The restaurant offers a varied menu and the flavours and textures of all dishes we ordered were exemplary. The butter chicken had a generous quantity of moist and flavourful chickens, and the shrimp curry had beautifully balanced flavours. Palak matter paneer was sheer delight. We will definitely return to this restaurant on future visits to Kingston.
Food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Best value for money that I have had in Kingston.
Tremendous flavours and choices of dishes, food standard is excellent.
My friends and I have been to Flavours of India many times and find the food consistently good. Lots of choice on the menu with many non-spicy options. Service is friendly and well-timed. There is lots of space between tables, which paired with the overall quietness, makes the restaurant a great choice for chatting with friends. Would highly recommend.
I go to Kingston two or three times a year and always go to this restaurant - it is my favorite Indian Food in the city. Although a little pricey somewhat, it is worth every penny. I highly recommend it to vegetarians and vegans.
The restaurant was booked after reading reviews on trip adviser, it was the 6th restaurant in Kingston and the "best " Indian. We prebooked a couple of months in advance as we were visiting from England. What a disappointment! Our table was booked for 8.15 on a Sunday night, we were greeted with "we close at 9", why take the booking? The service was terrible, the restaurant was empty except for our table of 4. The starters were served 10 minutes apart from each other so we were eating alone or cold food if we waited. The poppadoms, we were given 2 to share between 4 and no chutneys until we requested them times. The wine was very expensive and the whole meal was over priced. We were going to walk out after the first course but had to call a taxi and probably wouldn't have got a table anywhere else at such late notice. We ate out every night we were away (4 in total) and this was by far the worse meal I have ever eaten.
Great authentic food, we've tried a few things from the menu and have always been very pleased. Very nice decor, a sparkling gem in the grey upper Princess area!
Great food. Friendly, attentive, professional service.
Everything was awesome food service ambiance was excellent
Food reheat and not prepare by the order, restaurant was closing at 9pmand they stopped the music at 8h40pm to let us know that it will be time to leave. Not a really good experience.
Great food as always!!
