Flavour Of Mauritius was founded in 2017 by Yogeeta and her husband Mark. Yogeeta learned to cook back in Mauritius with her parents, who owned a small shop/bar and developed a huge passion for cooking. What started as just cooking and entertaining for family and friends, developed quickly into a full-time catering business. This love for cooking, and providing the highest quality food, led Yogeeta to start her own catering business when she arrived in the UK. Based in Reading, the reputation quickly grew and took Flavour Of Mauritius all over the country.

We are proud to announce that we have won the Southern Enterprise Award 2023 for "Most Authentic Mauritian Restaurant 2023 – Reading - SME Culinary Inspiration Award 2023".

An absolute shambles, was like an episode of Fawlty Towers. An hour wait for drinks, 2 hours for starters and another hour for mains which came without any rice or flat beads we had ordered. The waiter didn’t even know what the dishes were. Can’t comment on the food as we’d had enough of the terrible experience and left. A birthday dinner to remember for all of the wrong reasons! I understand there were staffing issues but no explanation was given on the night and the attitude of the manager was quite frankly rude. We weren’t the only customers who left and I definitely won’t be returning

Great restaurant in Reading, offering a different cuisine. The owner is super helpful in choosing a meal to your own taste and the décor shows some of the highlights of the island.

Food was amazing. Had to wait about 40 minutes but totally worth it. Everything appeared to be cooked from scratch, fresh, hot and very tasty. Had a lovely cocktail too. We don't live nearby but if we did I'd definitely be a regular.

Afraid starter wasn't cooked right through, still frozen in the middle, Roti and Paratha undercooked main meal was nice but chicken was very boney. The chef / owner was very nice and informative. The restaurant was very quiet.

What a wonderful restaurant. We started with a greeting like we were long lost friends, the service was impeccable, friendly and chatty. The food was wonderful, such beautiful flavours.....prawn curry, bean curry, cauliflower curry and a bowl all of which were unlike anything we have tasted before. Superb uplift food, cooked to order so all super fresh, also using produce from their own garden. Definitely on the list to return to very soon, now in our top 3 restaurants in the area.

Delicious meal,we had a celebration for my daughters Birthday,and everybody commented on how lovely the meal was.Would highly recommend.The owner and chef was so welcoming and talked to us at length after the meal.Will definitely be going back :-)
