Flatiron's Ratings and Reviews
Fish and Chips were great - served on a newspaper..:) Fish taco's were a little on the bland side -
though the fish was delicious - nice and flaky and the breading wasn't to thick. Kids bbq ribs were too spicy for 8yr old - we are a family that loves sharing each-others food so it really wasn't to big of a deal. Overall the food and atmosphere was casual.
Service was absolutely wonderful when we first got there and then a big rush came in we were lost in the crowd. It happens when restaurants get busy we understand that. One person can only do so much.
So if I could rate everything individually
The appetizer I ordered was steak tips with Brie and bread
I give it 5 stars. It was delicious
My main meal was a French dip. I give it 3 stars
Beef was very dry. The bread was soggy and it was loaded down with onions.
Overall I would say this place is more for bar food and drinks than a lazy dinner plan.
I brought my son and daughter-in-law to your restaurant for his birthday. I had never been there before and I was extremely happy with the friendly service, the amazing food and the cleanliness of your restaurant. I can assure you I will be back. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon
Went for the prime rib, basically the only time we go to Flatirons. Had been busy so no yorkshire pudding left and only 1 serving of prime rib. Had specifically requested this when making the reservation. I had a flatiron steak instead and it was very good. My husband had the prime rib and couldn't eat it, said it was too tough.
Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with my order. I requested a burger cooked medium. It was served very pink so I returned it. They then served it back to me (the same burger) still very pink. By then, everyone else at the table had finished their meal so I was not able to eat anything. They did try to make it up to me by giving me a gift card. However, I don't live there so will not be able to use the gift card. Very disappointing as it was the first meal in my weekend visit with my son.
Arrived early for reservation and they were very accommodating. Considered patio seating but storm was in the air. Enjoyed server, Maggie's attention. Even had more people come and they moved us to a larger table without issue. Enjoyed cocktails, beer and wine with appetizers and main courses. Will be back.
It's a nice sports bar/restaurant with moderate noise level. Service & drinks were excellent. The food however, was a disappointment. Steak too salty & overcooked (ordered nedium). Baked potato needed another minute or so in a microwave to cook properly. I'd recommend it for a small group of friends who want sports in TV and nice selection if drinks.
We had 22 church members who attended and I only received one complaint. He had fish and chips and he said that his fish was over-cooked and dry. I know others ordered fish and chips also, but I haven't had a chance to talk to them. We loved the patio! We do "lunch bunch" in our church during the summer months - you were our last stop for this summer, but we will definitely have you on the list of restaurants for next summer. Thank you to our waiter - he did a wonderful job serving all of us by himself.
So I had a meal here two times in a row. The first time was amazing, salmon burger and spinach. Yum.
The second time was good, but very heavy handed on the salt. I made a comment but nobody really picked up on it and I felt no empathy.
Overall experience was OK. I would eat here again when staying at the hotel but I would caution the wait person about the salt.
We were disappointed with the quality of the food. The potatoes au gratin were served with the cooked edge which was inedible. It seems the cheese was in slices instead of shredded so the consistency was not good and they lacked flavor. It seemed that bottled rather than house made sauce was poured over the ribs. It was obvious that the kids' chicken tenders were not freshly made. I'm sure they were frozen and heated in a microwave. The servings of coleslaw were small. We asked for extra cheese on the Reuben sandwich and did not get it.
