What Insiders Are Saying
A big bar to drink beer and watch sports.
I love their beer especially chocolate one. with their nachos and burger. yum
I had a great time at this restaurant with my family on our short trip to New York. There is nothing much special about this restaurant but there is nothing negative at all. I recommend this restaurant for casual drinks with friends or colleagues.
It was insanely noisy. Seems like a great place for late 20 somethings and early 30 somethings to grab a drink and maybe some bar food.
It was dope
2nd time here. excellent!! i was served by the same waitress. she's awesome!!! food. i had their fried chicken sandwich again. so good. so addicting. beer. i had again chocolate stout and red ale
we had their in house beers and they were good. fried chicked sandwich and mac&cheese were excellent too. the server was amazing. we really enjoyed and probably stayed about 5hrs until they were about to close the place.
Fun but very loud. Great beer. Must try the pretzel.
First rate bar food and service.
Burger wasn’t the best ever, but it was good, and $12 burger + beer (craft beer at that!) is an amazing value in NYC for lunch.
Nice place, average food, a bit noisy.
Glad we chose Flatiron randomly on open table. It was close to the hotel and Madison square garden. Great casual fun setting Thoroughly enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and drinks. Waitress was attentive and helpful.
Went there for Super Bowl. It was great as it wasn’t insanely packed. Not the biggest fan of their wine offerings, but if you like a good beer and a hearty burger with a fun vibe it’s the place to go. I had also visited on a Friday night previously and that was packed to the core!
Our server was very attentive despite how busy he was. Food and drinks were tasty too.
Best fried pickles in the city!
There is a lot of space. I was really surprised given its midtown location. We made a reservation as we were arriving around 7, but I don't know if that was necessary. A table had been reserved for us. We had space and weren't really sitting on top of anyone. It was a little loud; I had trouble hearing my friend diagonal from me. Beer was delicious. I'm glad we were there during Happy Hour as beer prices are a little expensive. My friends had the Steak Frites and Fish and Chips, which they thought were fine. My friend with the Fish and Chips was expecting a traditional slab of fish, but the fish is served fried in smaller pieces. I had the house-made veggie burger and thought it was sensational! One of the best I've had since I've been a vegetarian. Our server was great; made sure we always had drinks and water but also left us to chat and catch up. It was a wonderful experience. I really loved the space- the cute booths and wood floors. I think it's a great place to meet when people are coming from different boroughs. We will be back.
I frequent The Hall 2 times a month. Although the lunch menu prices are pretty steep outside of the burger special, the food all-around is pretty good! Love the decor and that they brew their own beers with so many to choose from! I definitely recommend them.
Great for a quick lunch
Can’t beat the 2 burgers, 2 beers for $12!!
Very noisy, even on a weeknight, seems to be a popular after-work 30's spot to down some beers and have some decent bar food.
A bit loud but not a surprise
Very loud mostly a young crowd delicious food great cocktails and reasonably priced great find but more geared to the 20 and 30 something crowd would highly recommend it to that age group
Great beer choices, the pretzel is amazing!!
We both got the beer / burger combo for lunch. The beer (house IPA) was tasty and refreshing. The burger was nothing amazing, and nothing terrible. Very solid / average burger. Worth the lunch combo price but that's about it.
Catching up with a friend, and some apps, the atmosphere was great! The service was great and everyone was so friendly! Would definitely go back, as the menu was great!
Good place to go for pub food and a drink before the concert
Seemed like a solid choice with decent service. Food was capably prepared and served. Decor was good. I wouldn't hesitate to return and try something new.
Great bar and food. A little loud but fun atmosphere
Service was awful. Waitress didn't come up for 10 minutes, and we did have a reservation. After taking our order we never saw her again. Another person brought drinks. Another brought food. And then finally we flagged someone down for a bill. The place was only 50% filled so there is absolutely no excuse for this. Outside of that, the food was fairly good but nothing special.
This german style beer hall was a cool surprise in Chelsea. Found this place on OpenTable, had a liter beers for sale, gave the place a cool feel. The burgers were good but not great, I think you'd be better off with an entree (portion-wise). Would be a cool spot for happy hour! Cheers!
Fun place! Gets too crowded on weekend nights but otherwise the food it yummy.
Lunch was great, but no brunch options on a Sunday afternoon.
Interesting place, nice staff, good menu. Good value if you want a lunch-time burger and beer. Overall, not outstanding, martinis ridiculously expensive, and while I enjoyed my visit, I might not rush to get back.
Great food and service. Went for lunch however has a great happy hour type atmosphere.
decent food, good portions. overall average quality
Mediocre food, and very mediocre service. It seemed that the larger parties were more important to the server than my friend and I.
With so many places to choose from in the area, I wouldn't go back.
Enjoyed dinner on Saturday night, my friend really enjoyed the beer. Me I loved the spiced mojito. He had the burger and me the rib-eye sandwich both were very tasty.
It was incredibly loud.
Service was slow.
Waitress claimed that credit card machine was not working and wanted to take a picture of my credit card to "charge later."
A nice, relaxing lunch. The shared plates were very good. It's a nice, big space, and I think it would be a great place for happy hour or a casual dinner and drinks.
Describing anything in NYC as loud is generally expected. Big city. Big noise. I'm not a prude against noise, I mean come on, I live in NYC. But wow is this restaurant loud. Even for NYC standards. It over shadowed our entire experience. Will share that this restaurant attracts a younger crowd which may drive their noise issues. Now for the positive. Service was great. The menu very appealing, food overall was great. Tasty and interesting appetizers for sure! If we would have brought noise cancellation headphones, this place would have been great!
A solid go to in the Flat Iron.
Always busy and loud. Fast drink service. Friendly staff.
Good place to hang with friends.
NOISY!!!! Friday night dinner at 7PM should have brought noise cancelling headphones. Food was good, but way too noisy for any talk.
