Flatbread Neapolitan Pizzeria – Salt Lake City Ratings and Reviews
We had the gnocchi, BBQ chicken pizza and apple walnut chicken salad. The pizza was the only thing we really liked. The gnocchi was swimming in sauce with only 10 gnocchi in the bowl. Yes my son counted! At $14 you would think they could do better. My salad was really bland. I have had it before and it was delicious. This time is was mostly just lettuce. The only thing we enjoyed was the pizza.
The other HUGE issue was the temperature of the restaurant. It was FREEZING!!! I understand that the garage doors may make it hard to heat but it was ridiculously cold! Nearly all of the patrons were eating dinner with their coats on. It was very unpleasant especially on their metal chairs.
Our bill was just under $100 for four of us. For that much money I would expect good food and to be able to take my coat off during dinner. We all agreed we won't be back.
The pizza was really great! My wife and I love Neo (thin crust, brick oven) style pizzas. The crust had a light char, although I would've preferred a little more, with a little more crisp in the bread. I thought the flour under the dough was a little much, but not bad. I guess it helps the pizza not stick to the oven. The kids macaroni was bland and greasy, but my 2-year old inhaled it with some parmesan so I guess he had complaints. The salad could've used a little dressing. Maybe a vinaigrette instead of just plain olive oil. Overall, the place is great! Perfect portions for 2 or 3 to share a salad and a pie. We can't wait to go back and eat in the patio area when it's a little warmer.
We would strongly recommend Flatbread Neapolitan Pizzeria for those who can eat their regular pizza. It was pleasing to the eye and tastebuds. Their gluten-free alternative was just okay, lacking the flavor and consistency of the regular pizzas. So, a big yes if you can eat their regular fare, and just an okay if you need to go gluten-free.
I enjoy the ambiance and especially the kale salad. Good beer and wine list, for a casual place of this size. Also, good outdoor dining, if it's not too hot. Lots of natural sunlight if inside. Haven't really had the pizza as I'm always stuck on the yummy green stuff.
We love going to Flatbread Neapolitan Pizzeria. They were right on time with our reservation and ready to go. The restaurant is popular and small so it's often difficult to get in, but if you can make reservations and skip the wait, it's fantastic. The crowds will only get worse as the glut of apartments in the area are filled. Parking here can be quite difficult if you don't live in the neighborhood and have to drive there. Their pizzas are good, the sandwiches are better. The meat ball appetizer is quite good too. The wine list is simple but covers all the majors and you'll be very pleased with the service. With so many pizza places in Sugarhouse, this restaurant stands out in a good way.
Neapolitan is our go to spot! The food is consistently good no matter if you order a salad or their amazing pizza. They have quite a few good appetizers to choose from (stuffed mushrooms are the only ones that need some work of the ones Ive had) and the fondue doesn't disappoint! They use quality ingredients and deliver a quality and satisfying experience!
We love the food here and the staff are friendly. We have been about 6 or 7 times now and without fail there is always at least one part of our order that is wrong - usually the requested pizza toppings are missing something or something wrong is used. Other than this we love the place.
Very disappointed in the way we were treated yesterday by Josh. Apparently he is the manager there, but doubles as a waiter and does a little of everything. A few months ago when we were there he completely screwed up our order, so badly that the owner of the restaurant came over and comped our entire meal. Yesterday when we arrived, after making reservations using the Open Table app, at the exact same day and time as the prior week, prior to seating us, he said abruptly"you can't make a reservation at that day and time." Ummm, we did, without a problem this time, and a week ago. Seems the restaurant needs to simply adjust what is allowed on Open Table for their restaurant rather than making the customers feel as if they are at fault.
Been here many times. Although the pizza has occasionally come out overcooked, the overall experience is always great. It has an awesome decor and ambiance, and is an airy and happening place to generally be. My only complaint was the occasionally long waits. Now with open table reservation options table if 5 was seated upon arrival immediately when there was a 30 minute wait for others. Nice to feel special.
I have eaten at 'Flatbread' six or seven times in the last year. The quality of the food has always been consistent, the service good and the atmosphere pleasant. I like the open air feel of the patio that connects with the restaurant on nice days and I have had my dog out there a couple of times. 'Flatbread' has a good neighborhood feel and I think it is a definite asset to the community.
