Food was generally good, the service was nice but they were drastically understaffed for the night. The food was out in only half of the area, with two grill cooks and 3-4 servers plus one manager. The night was way too full to run with that, and ticket times and drink speed suffered.

They ran out of tofu and never told us before checking in as we’re vegetarian, our soup never came so had to remind twice. We spoke to the manager and all he said was just sorry and walked away. Service was used to be great here but lately it sucks and no one cares about customers. Our waitress never came back to check on us if we needed anything.

Server was super nice and helpful with how the meal works. We have never been there before, great food! 4 boys and mom after a Northwestern game.

We have loved Flattop in the past, but this was likely our last visit. The food didn't taste fresh and service was very poor. It took 20 minutes to get a glass of water after requesting it. The first glass was soda water and our server argued with us that it was plain water (three of us tasted it...).

The service was absolutely horrible. The hostess was to busy on her phone to notice we walked in and had zero enthusiasm. Waited forever for drinks and the food tasted like it came from the frozen section of the grocery store.
