FlameStone American Grill - Trinity
The staff was excellent but the food was over priced and over cooked.
steaks were under seasoned. We ordered a porterhouse and it lacked flavor, seasoning. side salad was incredibly small. The scallop Appetizer was excellent. just did not live up to my expectations.
Made a reservation when there was plenty of openings. Arrived and they placed us in a booth near the back of the bar. When asked her if we could move, it was a problem. Not good. Wanted my 93 year old mom to sit in the restaurant part not the bar. We saw walk ins get sat in the nice restaurant area.
My Dad is in a wheelchair - and from the time we drove up, everyone was so helpful and service focused. The manager opened the door with a warm welcome . She got us a great table which was easy for the wheelchair - and the waits staff was outstanding and very attentive. For was great. Thank you for a great evening.
We’ve had great trips, this one was okay. Cowboy ribeye was not up to par. Sea bass was good. Creamed spinach was outstanding
The service was the best part. Zach was our waiter and he was very personable and attentive. The food was very good. This location seems less crowded than the Oldsmar location so we will look to this location going forward and request Zach as our waiter
Very pleasant dining experience.
Good food good service. Bloody Mary bar not well stocked this day.
Good food, presented very well. Waiter was new but was fun and wanted to please.
Wife’s short ribs were good but the baby back ribs were terrible. Just a bad piece of meat and overcooked. For the price paid I was expecting much better quality and ambiance. Felt like we were in a very expensive Chilis except that Chilis’ baby backs are far superior. Won’t go back because there are much better options around for the same price point
We have been to the FlameStone in Oldsmar many times and find it to be a much nicer restaurant. I had a Full Cut Prime Rib here and it was a very tough piece of meat. I also ordered a side of onions and mushrooms that cost $5. The portion was tiny and worth about $.50.
Really nice local restaurant with excellent steaks and tableside guacamole. It is one of our favorites and glad it is here.
I had written on reservation that we were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. No mention of it when we got there. Also seated by Windows when we asked to move to more romantic, we were told no. There was plenty of booths in other section.
The table side Guac is very good and is worth the price.
Excellent food and service. Our sever took excellent care of us as we celebrated our anniversary.
We booked reservation through Open Table in case the restaurant was busy. We were seated right away in a requested booth. Our serve greeted us immediately and got our drink orders. My Cosmo was great! We ordered Mile High Meat Loaf and Chilean Sea Bass and both cleaned our plate. Service was great and food was even better! Highly recommend!
Interesting cocktail menu but they were not very good once made. Food was mediocre especially for the price. Server was nice.
Always great food, clean, and friendly service. Love to meet friends there for a nice dinner.
Service was excellent.Food came quickly and was very good. Waitress was very attentive. Would recommend to friends and family
The food was hit and miss. The two seafood orders were good and enjoyable. The appetizer was delicious. But both steaks were horribly prepared. Prime rib was rare when medium was asked and the ribeye was room temp, as if it had been kept too far from the heat lamp while the other meals were prepared. Also, it was far too over cooked. The service was fine and the atmosphere was nice.
Food was great!! Service was fantastic!!!
ALWAYS a FabYOUlous Experience... I recently discovered the Flame grilled artichokes appetizer which is a meal for me...
My friend ordered the Grouper Sandwich, which HAS A LIGHT, CRISP batter...So, so delicious...
Waiter Chris was great-recommended the table side guacamole which was amazing. Chris obviously loves people and made our diva dinner a success!
The NY strip was the best steak I have had in years!
Awesome meal and cocktails. Great for special occasions.
Always a great meal and excellent service.
Tableside guacamole was very good. The waiter was attentive. Everyone enjoyed their meal braised short ribs .chicken FlameStone, salmon and shrimp and scallops over linguine. My grey goose Martini was perfect. Nice ambiance to talk with friends. The manager was checking on every table. They are doing it right.
Flamestone is a very good restaurant in the Trinity area and offering one of the few, more upscale dining experiences in this area. Ambience itself is okay, but nothing spectacular. Booths against all the walls and smaller table arrangements in the middle of the floor. Bar area is nice, but on the evening we attended, had boxes stacked in the corner detracting from vibe. Food was good with some of the best prepared scallops I have ever had. Steak cut was okay but thinner than expected. Seasoning was spot on. Risotto and Parmesan Fries very good. Wine list was fairly extensive without atmospheric prices. Overall value of experience vs price was not quite matched although close.
Food was excellent and service was perfect, no reason not to return !
Went for my fiance's birthday. Fantastic place. A little pricey but well worth every penny.
The steaks were overcooked. The sides were blah. And when they brought the steaks back out my steak was still overcooked.
They had no record of our reservation, even though I had confirmation on my phone .
The food was splendid and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. I was able to carry on a conversation without having to speak louder. Ed, the waiter was awesome.
Our tableside quacamole was delicious, 4 of us shared it. The Prime Rib was delicious and moist. My friends had the flat bread. My husband had the pork chop and thought it was outstanding. We really like the variety of selections. Sometimes we just have appetizers. We have also gone to their brunch which has an all you can drink mimosa and bloody mary bar where you make your own. Add whatever you like. This is a great restaurant!! Service is also great. We have been now 4 times and love it every time.
You will not be disappointed
Awesome experience. Food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Great atmosphere. The s’mores dessert was extra fun!
Poor value for the quality of the food. Setting is more like pub grub but prices are in line with a co e do ing establishment. The service is average, the menu too scattered.
This was my second time dining at FlameStone and had been wanting to bring my young adult son. We had date night and I chose FlameStone. He LOVED IT! Nick was our server. He was attentive, gave amazing suggestions and recommendations and always with a great smile. Manager, Amanda stopped by to check on us. She is very personable and was also attentive. We requested that the Chef of the Poblano Cream sauce give us the recipe and they did one better...Chef Steve came to the table and shared how to make it. My son and I are great cooks and foodies, so this made the evening extra special. I will be returning soon. Great service, food, environment and amazing ALL AROUND!!!
Yellow fish delicious.
Chilean bass scrumptious
Shrimp and scallops over pasta was great.
Service was great
Carrot cake was rediculous, it was so decadent
We went to Flamestone in Trinity Mothers Day and anticipated a huge crowd. However, we were seated directly at our reservation time.
The server was pleasant and prompt. We have dined there many times and have always had delicious food. We did not feel rushed.
I always check the bill but did not see until the next morning that a discount was forgotten. I called and spoke to the manager, Will, and he promptly corrected it.
I would highly recomment Flamestone in Trinity.
