Beautiful, romantic and fantastic service!
The food was simply perfect!!!!
Easy to see why Flagstaff has earned a Michelin star! Exceptional experience all around.
It’s been a while. We were impress by the waitstaff, the artwork, the cuisine. We liked the amuse bouche between courses. They reseated us to the scenic window as soon as a spot opened up. The “anniversary” huge candy centerpiece was beautiful. We’ll come again. I think every table was celebrating something, including an accepted proposal on the spot.
Amazing! Food, service, atmosphere... impeccable
While the place was nice, I would not send family or friends there, the amount we paid was over the top for what we received. We were there for my husbands Birthday and we were sat in the corner in the way back, View what view! We were crowded next to other couples while the tables with the view were empty. The best part of the night was Riley our server, she was fantastic!
Our meal was amazing and the service was perfect.
They made my birthday so special! The view is surreal and the experience is world-class.
Worth the drive. Worth every penny. Great service. Great food. Great views!
I’ve visited the Flagstaff House with high expectations especially from the kitchen.
The dining experience was worth it all. Fantastic menu with food prepared to the highest level. The only complaint would be that there is no paper wine list but with so many choices, they would be giving us an encyclopedia so the IPad made it convenient.
Excellent outing. Felt welcomed from the very start. Quiet atmosphere (but also had an early booking) . Food was outstanding, service impeccable. Highly recommend. Pricey but well worth it for a splash out evening.
The service and view were wonderful but the food was below expectations.
Nice views, but the food is not good. If you want impressive views it’s worth it, but don’t go here for a fine dining experience... the food is terrible.
Lived in CO most of my life, but this was the first time I've tried The Flagstaff House. It was our 16th wedding anniversary! I had a scotch I'll be bragging about to my friends and father. They said they had to dig it out of the cellar, 1965 Littlemill lowland deliciousness. The many small portions of an elegant dinner meant we weren't too full at the end of the meal and you got to try a panopoly of rare wonderful dishes. First time I have ever tried foie gras. Also had lemon sole and Chesapeake blue claw crab. The view is something bazillionaires pay big bucks for.
This was a sublime alchemy of food, service, and atmosphere! A world class experience.
Excelkent but very pricey!
My only complaint is that When dining st this type of restaurant when you are paying 550.00 (without a tip) for an evening meal with a party of three you would expect, at minimum, the service to include a somalier versus a waiter who is not familiar with the wine selections.
For this kevel of service and dining, A somalier is the expected norm to be introduced at your table.
Also, i did not appreciate the fact of pulling up to the complimentary valet service only to sit in front of the restaurant for nearly two minutes while watching the valet stand inside the foyer entrance texting on his phone, hence resulting in me proceeding to park the vehicle myself.
What was worse is the fact of him telling me he was tending another customer—as i stopped him after parking my own vehicle to provide him with my car keys—as he was in the process of parking another guest’s car who arrived after us.
Yes except for the cost which given the meal was a bit high. Our waitress was excellent and the ambience was amazing; but $500 for three people seems a bit exorbitant. Food was fine
Best is the best!!!
Great view, very pricey but the food is quite good, service is excellent.
You can’t top,the personalized menu,
Have never had a bad experience, and this was no exception. Great food, great service, great view. Thanks to entire staff!
Flagstaff House is the standard that every fine dining establishment in Boulder should try to emulate. Over the years I have frequented a number of the listed Fine Dining restaurants in Boulder and Flagstaff House is hands down the best of all of them.
Service - attentive and anticipated all of our needs
Beverages - the sommelier was amazing in her pairings of wine and whiskey
Meal - Chef Chris Royster's attention to the tiniest of details created an exquisite, memorable meal.
Special night w my daughter who attends boulder.
We loved all the extras in between the courses!
Probably one if not our most favorite dining experience in Colorado.
I was there with out-of-town relatives. My brother is a little bit of a gourmet. He was blown away by the service and the food. He kept trying to figure out how they got the outstanding flavor. As far as the ambiance, we got a table at the windows, and the view was outstanding. The evening was a total success.
The environment was so romantic, the service was impeccable, and the food was decadent! I had an amazing time here and will definitely will return when in Colorado!
Amazing cuisine! Wonderful staff!
The very best food.view. Service and ambiance in Colorado. Celebrated our twenty first anniversary at the restaurant I proposed to my wife in.
Nice, quite resturant. We enjoyed our meals, the staff was great. The food was good, but not as great as I remember it being.
Always such a fabulous treat to eat at the Flagstaff! Excellent food and service.
Outstanding food and service with a breathtaking view
Loved it! Such a special night. The food and wait staff were awesome. I have always wanted to go there and was not disappointed.
What a great experience for our 15th Anniversary. Excellent food and service. Very expensive restaurant but worth it for view and ambiance as well as the amazing food. This is definitely a special occasion restaurant.
This was an exceptional dining experience. The food was extraordinary, and we got to try several chef-designed experimental and palette-cleansing bites between courses. The standouts for us were their polenta dish, the perfectly med-rare lamb shank, a mini goat cheese and apple tart we sampled, and the house-made bread and butter. The service was helpful, polite, and well-educated. Despite the freezing and snowy weather, the hostess offered to take us onto their patio for a photo of us and the Boulder lights below. Overall, the kitchen and front staff all went above and beyond to make it a memorable night, and I will enthusiastically return the next time we're in town.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing time at the Flagstaff House. We each did the 3 course meal option and loved it. Amazing service!
We went to Flagstaff House the day after Valentine's Day. The staff was so accommodating and friendly right from the start. Each member of the team, even people who weren't directly involved in serving our particular table, treated us like they were glad we were there, including the valet. And we didn't even valet our car. Our server and the chef worked together really well to create exactly what would work for our dietary restrictions. The food was amazing down to every bite; textures, flavors, and scents went really well together like...poetry...or music in our mouths. The drinks were very well made and unique, kudos to the bartender. And the place is downright romantic in the evenings. I'd love to experience that space during the day sometime to see the elevated views. The Flagstaff House is NOT cheap, but it was worth the expense because of the quality of all things involved. I couldn't have picked a better spot for a nice Valentine's Day dinner.
My husband and I have been here twice - the first time for his birthday and then more recently on Valentine’s Day. Both times we have visited we have left extremely impressed all around. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking. On our first visit in September, we were able to sit outside and dine during sunset, enjoying every minute of the view. Our second time was in February so it was already dark and the outdoor patio was, naturally, not open, but the view of the city lights was still a wonderful backdrop.
The service has always been outstanding! They are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, organized, and also manage to give that fine dining experience while being down to earth and not at all pretentious (we’ve all been to the higher end restaurants with the snooty waiters... these are not those at all!)
Their wine selection is one of the best I’ve ever seen and I travel for my job, often entertain customers, and tend to stick to the mid to high end steakhouses for client dinners (where there is always a decent wine list). I love red wine so always at least peruse the wine list while ordering a glass (or two or three) of Cab. This wine list is an iPad. It cannot be contained to paper. It is a searchable database of I would guess thousands of bottles ranging in price (there are some starting at $50 if you are price conscious and the Sommelier has always been very friendly and open to answering questions to help you narrow down their beast of a wine list!!)
The food is excellent, though you hope it would be for the price. This place is a little outside of our budget for more than once in a while, but the total experience is always so incredibly outstanding that we feel we did get our money’s worth. We will be back.
Oh and if you like chocolate and dessert in general, the S’mores dessert is NOT to be missed! It is truly an awesome, unique experience and is perfect to share between 2-3 people (maybe 4 if you each just want a few bites).
Great views and service. For this kind of money I do exspect more. Pricey
A really great experience. View and ambiance as good as it gets. Service was outstanding. The waiter even apologized for my wife having to pour her own wine. Food was excellent although portions were not generous. Very nice place overall.
