Great soul food.
Food was very good. We sat on the patio but quickly regretted it. We were harassed by locals that were “not in a good frame of mind” all night. The staff tried running them off but to no avail. I do admire the staffs persistence but completely ruined our meal. We took off in a hurry because it was very shady. We were surprisingly not offered any kind of comp or refund, not that I was seeking it. Again, the food and staff were great, the bystanders totally ruined everything. If it wasn’t for that, 4.5/5. DO NOT SIT OUTSIDE AT NIGHT.
Celebrated my brother’s birthday at Five Sisters and it was a hit!! Cowboy was a fantastic server and the fried chicken, chicken fried steak and blueberry bread pudding were awesome!!!
Great food for a reasonable price. Drinks were good also
Our 2nd time here. Each time, we were warmly welcomed and the staff does a good job in the area of customer service. Food has always been of a very high quality. In addition to really good food and service, the place has nice warm vibe and I also feel good about supporting a local business in this re-emerging and historic part of Pensacola. We'll continue to support them while enjoying dining with them.
The food was so so, the waiter was slow and difficult to keep his attention, took 30 min to check out.
The food was the star of our experience at Five Sisters. So so good. They had run out of biscuits (we closed down the joint) but gave me Texas toast and a break on the dinner; I had Blackened Redfish with Crawfish Gravy. My oh my. I felt very safe sitting outdoors and the giant fans kept us cool. Our server was great.
Great service, good food, lively atmosphere. Fun place for those who enjoy great music and really good food.
Very good food. Good prices.
Down home cooking done right.
Service was perfect, very attentive. Ask for Savannah. All of our entrees were delicious. My friend had the seafood basket, my husband had the barbecue, and I had vegetables. I grew up on collards and corn bread; Five Sisters is the real deal. So good; ultimate comfort food.
Wing night special (Wednesday). Excellent food and service.
The fried chicken was excellent as usual. Tried the pineapple cole slaw and it was excellent. Happened to be there on a Wednesday and it was wing night. Try the wings…loads of variety! Always happy we choose to dine here!
We went to 5 Sisters for the first time for the Great Southern restaurant week and we were very impressed with the quality and quantity of food we received. Everything was very good and we will be back to dine there again. Highly recommend/5 Sisters Blues Cafe.
We had three generations celebrating a birthday and the menu offered enough variety to please everyone. The food was good and plentiful. The service was excellent. The red velvet cake topped it all off, yum!
Fabulous restaurant, great service!! We sat outside and it was very hot and the fans were broken. Kept it from being the best experience. Loved the food!!!!!
We unfortunately had to sit outside on the patio during a hot July day and the fans blew extremely hot air around instead of helping with the heat. So I’d say wait for an inside spot if you can. The drinks were good, our food was pretty good (I expected more of the Mac and cheese but the brunch biscuit and gravy was yummy!) and came out in a timely manner. Service was great. I will definitely come back to try for dinner vs brunch and I’ll sit inside
We had reservations but had to wait about 29 minutes. Not a big deal. Got drinks at the bar while waiting. Seated and ordered food and another drink. We were almost through eating before our second drink arrived. Server forgot part of our order but a bus boy got it for us quickly.
Good band. Good food service could have been better but they were very busy.
We were seated quickly as we had outdoor seating reservations. Server was very polite & helpful with suggestions. My fish was overcooked & bland so it was replaced with chicken at my request. Management was apologetic & gave me meal complimentary. The fried chicken & shrimp were great. I would definitely return if I could have inside seating to enjoy the Sunday Jazz brunch. We couldn’t hear the music outside.
Jazz brunch was amazing
Husbands first time. Food was outstanding!!! Dessert was amazing. Will be back! Loved being able to have reservations and appreciate the precautions the restaurant is taking.
Great spot to eat. Had 6:15 reservations, traffic was a breeze so we got there a little past 6:00. We where greeted and sat right away. We had the combo appetizer, it came with fried green tomatoes, crab cakes and fried shrimp. Fgt where cut think and firm and had a great crunch to them as did the fried shrimp. The crab cake had a great fresh crab flavor. Came with a creamy Buffalo sauce and a remoulade sauce. Main course we had Chicken & waffle with two piece chicken, breast and drum stick. My only complaint was the drum was not as big as I would expect, this is just nitpicking. The waffle had a great vanilla flavor and came out hot. They do bring a container of syrup. We also got Red Beans and Rice with Pulled pork and a corn muffin. The rice and beans where cooked perfectly, with a nice spice to them. The pork was done nicely as well. We also got the brisket sandwich, bbq sauce was served on the side. This was good so you can control the amount. Brisket can be fatty, but this wasn’t bad, only a few pieces of fat cubes found it’s way onto the sandwich. Then lastly, the burger. It was a really good burger, it was ordered medium, but came out well. Again that’s just nitpicking, definitely not a deal breaker. We’re definitely planning on making 5 Sisters a regular place to eat. I did give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was our first time at Five Sisters. The food is wonderful and the ambience is casual and fun. Service was somewhat slow but like everywhere, they can't get enough people to work. Highly recommend!
Great vibe and food. Need to return when there is live music.
Best fried chicken ever. Best country fried steak ever. Best sampler appetizer ever. Best fried green tomatoes ever.
Great southern experience- good food. Taylor was very sweet and attentive. First time there and will definitely go back
Great service and great food
We had a wonderful experience…the Jazz band was amazing!
Great food and great service.
The food and drinks were excellent! See you soon!
Fried chicken like your southern mama cooks!! Great mac and cheese. Not in love with the house wine so I skipped that.
Wait service was good. All is all I would give them a 5. Real good dining experience!
Nick was wonderful! Food was great!!! Never disappoints
Cannot beat the $5 meatloaf with 2 sides on Monday evenings. Nick is the best waiter!
Anniversary meal with the wife. Food was awesome and service was great.
Great food, service, and atmosphere. We will be dining there again.
Excellent soul food. Recommend the gumbo and the chicken and waffles. Wonderful experience!
great ribs and pot roast, server was very pleasant and competent
Wonderful reunion with a dear friend!
The food and drinks were great. We sat outside and there were swarms of flies in the outdoor patio area. So much so that we didn't finish our meals and requested to-go boxes. The fan closest to us did not circulate in our area which would of helped with the fly issue. Next time we may sit indoors... we like eating outdoors due to the rising COVID numbers in the FL gulf coast area.
