Very busy … had to wait about 50 mins before first course came out . Food was very good … people were very pleasant

Lovely pub, beer was excellent. Food disappointing both portion size and quality. I had the burger and to be honest have had better. Patty was thin and overcooked, the bun was at best Warburtons and overall a pretty poor effort. Desert was a sticky toffee pudding - it was dry, the miso caramel sauce was too thin and salty, the best bit was the coconut ice cream. Would I recommend for food? No - go to the Tiger Inn a little further down the road. But would call in again for a beer on a sunny day.

Amazing food. Sunday lunches can be a bit hit and miss being a vegetarian. But not here, no fake meet just flavoursome vegetables. I had a cauliflower steak on a bed of butter beans, cabbage and a Romesco sauce. My husband had a good traditional roast. The staff were great attentive but discrete and let us enjoy our lunch, I cannot wait to go back.

Amazing pub, huge array of drinks/beers etc and lots of a driver to drink. The food was so delicious and woudl hugely recommend. Staff were lovely and helpful and friendly.

We had a lovely lunchtime meal. We all had the roasts. I beef and two vegetarian (mushroom bourgignon). All lovely with perfect roast potatoes, huge Yorkshire pudding, perfectly cooked vegetables. We had dessert partner said the sticky toffee pudding was the best she’d ever had. I had a lovely apple and gooseberry crumble.

The usual wonderful food and friendly, welcoming service! Have already booked next visit with my walking friend but it's likely I shall call in again before then anyway. My dog 'Ben' walks between there and Sellindge with me regularly and is always very happy, calm and relaxed when he's there. Sorry about the snoring 😂. The new menu item of the home made pies with a delicious variety of fillings was very welcome. They used to also do an interesting and very nice cheese variety menu item individually served as an alternative to sweet desserts, which was brilliant. Thanks to Sonia and Patti (hope I spelled that correctly?) for looking after us so well this time. Staff are always excellent which is why we keep coming back and why we recommend it to others. We ate early as we had a nine year old in our party. Food and drink was very good and the service was supportive but not over bearing. Kids meal good portion. We will go again 👍
