Fisk & Co.
Fisk & Co blends the vibe of Belgium’s lively bistros with the spirit of Chicago’s historic restaurant industry. As a mussel and beer bar, the focus of our food & drink menus may be obvious, but there’s more to us with something for the seafood lovers, meat aficionados, wine fanatics, and vegetarians. Whether you’re hanging out with a group or cozying up to the bar solo, we look forward to showing you a good time and a great meal.

This used to be the South Water Kitchen which has since closed. Thank goodness. We visited for lunch, and were not disappointed at all. Service was amazing - warm, attentive and sincere. I ordered the fresh pressed green juice with cucumber, spinach kale and ginger - delicious. I was disappointed that they don't make the beet juice anymore. Our entrees were delicious - the cobb salad with poached salmon and the smoke salmon BLT - both well prepared, well seasoned and just right. What a great improvement from the previous restaurant at this location. We plan to return - it was a wonderful experience
Food and service was good. Portions way too big for lunch, and priced accordingly.
Food was great and so was inside of the restaurant itself. Great options for food and drinks. But Paul our server, was absolutely amazing. We are from out town and he took great care of us even though we were too early for lunch and he gave us the best service and suggestions. Great conversation and suggestions for other places too. Really enjoyed it
Mussells were excellent but food were not well coordinated to be served.
Can't say enough about the fantastic, friendly service at Fisk & Co. The food is fantastic, but I come back for the relaxed and warm atmosphere created by the staff. It's a great balance that makes for a wonderful experience each time I visit. Thanks, all!
I selected Fisk as they offer gluten free meals which is super.
I had omelette with potato and gf toast 😁 it was delicious.
We enjoyed our meals. High quality ingredients, to be sure. A bit of a glitch w some bar service but this was tended to quite well. When in the area, we will be back.
Fisk and Co. is a very solid spot in the loop! You wouldn’t know it’s attached to a hotel. It’s Primary focus is seafood, but there are other good options for vegetarians and non-seafood eaters. The atmosphere is cool- great views and the space is well laid out and decorated. My favorite part about this place is the service. From the second you walk in to when you leave, you feel taken care of. The menus seem a tad overpriced, but the food is good. Don’t miss out on the Pretzel monkey bread! It had a crunchy top with sesame seeds and salt, and the inside was warm and doughy with a hint of honey. Overall, this was a very positive dining experience for the area.
Man, this place had so much potential and just totally blew it. Honestly, most of the food was pretty good. The curry mussels were delicious, my Salmon was very good and one person in my group got the Gnocchi which was good too. But my wife ordered the Cauliflower Salad and it was so overdressed it was literally inedible. I am the opposite of a picky eater and I couldn't stand more than a bite or two of it and she hardly touched it as well. Compound that with the fact that we showed up on a very slow Monday night and the service was so slow. We got stuck there way longer than we wanted just because it took so long in between being checked on. It was also very expensive. Now if it had been good quality all around, I don't mind paying for that. But don't serve me crap and then overcharge me for it.
Outstanding oysters and mussels!
Very good food and knowledgeable and attentive servers.
Such friendly service!! Had a very good oyster selection and definitely want to go back for happy hour. The mussels were amazing and they brought be all the extra bread I wanted.
The menu on Open Table bears no resemblance to what the restaurant was actually offering! Many different entrees among the small number of selections, no Prix-Fixe option either. But all in all this was a very good experience. My wife loved her mussels. My salmon was good, though nothing special considering the high price. Good location for a pre-theater meal.
Wonderful ambience! The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. She was able to make recommendations to us and was very engaging. Great location and walkable from our hotel. We were seated right away. There were sufficient vegetarian options for our party to choose from as well as traditional options. We’ll definitely go again.
Have eaten virtually every meal (brunch, lunch, dinner) there over the past two years, and they never disappoint. The frites are amazing and are served with many dishes or on their own. I've had all of their various mussel dishes and each was amazing. This month the saffron/tomato mussels were incredible.
Service was impeccable. Food was delicious. They were a comadating to my toddler.
Service minimally acceptable. Told of no seating in bar, as the lounge couches and tables were “ reserved”. So went elsewhere for drinks, only to return to find the same couches and tables empty. Service was friendly but wine pours seemed skimpy. Not enough bread brought to table, taking a long time to even get it. Mussels great as was salad. Dessert was terrible. Supposedly a “ crumble”, more like soup with a little granola. I dine out frequently and am generally a reasonable individual, but this restaurant is so out of line , price-wise , with only acceptable food and service.
Oysters were great.
We had a nice lunch of fantastic lobster roll and buratta salad. Lobster roll filled with perfectly cooked lobster. Nice wine list. Service excellent. Highly recommend at least for lunch. Not a typical hotel associated restaurant. They have many mussel with frites options.
Some of the best mussels I've ever eaten. My friend thought the same. I had the ones in a coconut curry sauce. Nice ambience. Not too noisy.
Go for the mussels and frites. The curry mussels are the best.
The meal was great. Love the tables and street view. The service really great as well. It does get really loud but that’s because the other guest were having a great time!
we were visiting from Milwaukee to see a concert and decided on stopping here. The whole experience was wonderful. Samantha - our server – gave wonderful recommendations and wonderful service. We are looking forward to coming back !
I always sit at the bar when I come here. Watching the bartenders makes it an event unto itself. They really care for the creations they make for you.
We had fabulous service and could hear ourselves in conversation-a big plus with us these days. The mussels and oysters were awesome and the servers were so good they offered to bring us extra bread for the broth without us asking. They were spot on with their tasks without being intrusive. My lobster roll was delicious and they always find a way to make substitutions with a smile. I wanted truffle fries instead of regular and they obliged handily. My husband’s Haddock was just so-so but it could have been having an off night (the fish, not the chef). We would highly recommend Fisk & co and will be back.
The staff were lovely! Our first time there and definitely not our last!
Service was great lunch choices were excellent.
We weren't very impressed with Fisk & Co. Our fish fries were crunchy on the outside but the fish itself was kind of slimy/watery on the inside. On the other hand, my Dad did enjoy his seafood tower.
Delicious food, friendly staff. Drinks took a little longer, but not beyond an acceptable amount of time. The Lobster roll was a favorite!
Our server was a delight, great time! $1 oysters were great!
Great smoked salmon sandwich, ambiance is informal; service is good
Great lunch spot in the loop! A nice change of pace from the usual dark wood interiors of most places downtown. The salads are excellent and ambiance is pleasant and airy. Great seafood downtown, would recommend for lunch or an after work dinner!
I was staying at the Kimpton Monaco and decided to dine here 3 times because I thought I would receive IHG rewards (and elite points), but NO! Even though the appeared on my bill as Food Charges, which are supposed to be "Qualified Spending" for reward points, they were NOT considered qualified spending. After contacting IHG, I just received answers which didn't answer anything! The third night I was in town I had steak frites. At least, the fries were included with the steak at $29. I asked for a just bit more than rare steak and got one almost medium. In conclusion, if I had known that I wasn't going to receive any IHG points, that the service was average to below average (those at check-in were friendly and welcoming but not the wait staff), and that the food was not going to be anything better, I would have gone elsewhere. It's downtown Chicago, and there are many choices!
Great restaurant in the Hotel Monaco but feels totally separate. Terrific service, great food and very moderate prices—we really should pay more...

Pleasantly surprised. We went here only because we had a coupon, and we are glad we did.. The fish and chips was the best ever, as well as the monkey bread. The atmosphere is casual and relaxing.
I took my wife and adult children out for dinner. We picked this place during the lenten season. We were not disappointed. The oysters were a little over priced but tasty. the salmon and lobster roll were both very good. the waitress callie was helpful and pleasant.
First time here and was not disappointed. Nice space for a business lunch. Attentive service and delicious food. The salmon BLT was excellent as was the lobster roll. Very easy to have a good conversation. Would recommend.
Dinner here was fantastic, our server Kaly was so helpful and friendly! She made our experience. Definitely coming back again soon
Very pleasantly surprised. Would definitely go back next time in Chicago.
