Fish Shack Cafe
Great friendly service, no pressure to rush. Food portions were large and really good
Deadly food...Good staff ..Easy to find..Really enjoyed
We went on a voucher and had to sit in the centre of the restaurant despite asking for another table.
The starter platter was quite bland, and the main course of burger af chips comprised of an over cooked dry burger and odd shaped chips.
The wine was perhaps the worst I have ever tasted... a disappointing experience overall
Delicious seafood cooked perfectly at a very reasonable price. Will be back
We got a voucher for a gift although I had been there many times, starters were perfect a lovely platter of food, mains were good too it’s just a really noisy place
The food Was very good but the Portion was too small for the price.
We had a good dinning experience. The food was tasty and good value for money. The portions were descent and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend though that you provide more fish options for the grilled section like sea bass or salmon.
I found this restaurant searching “best fried calamari”... Was not disappointed! Very good! Not the best in the world, as said by other customers (i’m from Italy the match was tough), but really good and also all the other courses were excellent!
Molto buono il cibo. Raccomandiamo la zuppa di pesce
I’ve been here maybe 7 times, I find the portions are getting smaller especially the chips portion, my husband had to give his Guinness back it tasted awful, it’s also really annoying when people who r waiting to be seated are squished along side your table. It’s a really nice place and it’s awful to see standards slipping
we had dinner at the Temple Bar Fish Shack Cafe and it was a lovely experience, definitely one of the best of our holiday. My partner had 3 naked oysters as starter and they were very tasty, then we both had the Sailors shellfish medley and we loved it! The fish and tomato stock was delicious and we particularly liked the squid and the prawns.
We definitely recommend this restaurant.
Small resturant with great food. Not many dinners when I was there so very quiet. Very fresh seafood
Yes would recommend Fish Shack Cafe chowder delicious
Very good fresh fish, for little money. Staff is very friendly and prepared. I recommend this place.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great value. Tap water in carafes without even having to ask.
The fish was very good, one of the best I’ve had. The chips were just ok, but pretty crispy. Overall the place has picnic benches and not much ambiance for a dinner date, but the food is good and so is the value. Small place!
We normally go to coastal locations to eat out and in particular visit seafood restaurants. As we had a reason to take a trip into the city we booked a table for 2 in advance. We are so happy we visited this restaurant. The setting is lovely and cosy, the staff were lovely i.e. friendly, busy and attentive, the food was excellent (we had a wide range of shellfish, squid fish etc.) and the time between servings was just right. I will definitely visit this restaurant again.
It was a really nice dinning experience! Already recommended to our friends! Everything was so nice!
The food was excellent, we had the "fish of the day" and fish & chips. The 2 service women were extremely friendly and professional. A clear recommendation!
there is nothing, NOTHING to beat really fresh fish beautifully cooked and Fish Shack did not disappoint
We had a wonderful lunch. Great service, good food and fine value.
Will go back if the opportunity presents itself.
Fish Shack was FANTASTIC! Great food, great service. We had the seafood combo and chowder to start, and between 6 of us we tried most things on the menu - all delicious - would definitely recommend!
Lovely fish and chips. Fast and pleasant service. Would recommend.
Scampi was very nice (definitely get it if u like scampi) and so was the Tatar sauce. The fish tasted nice but the batter wasn’t the best I’ve had. The chips portion and portions overall were small for the price. The calamari was a little chewy compared to others I have had. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, I would say the nicest staff in Dublin. Overall I enjoy the food but the prices were high for the amount of food received
The food was great, we got the seafood platter to share as a starter, it was more than enough for a starter and it was all well seasoned and fresh. We then got oysters and a pitcher of ale. The service was impeccable, the girls are so nice and positive, it brings a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Will definitely be back to try the seafood linguine :)
Our meal overall was great. I was disappointed by the half lobster special, as the lobster was TINY. I had only three bites of it and it was finished. There is also a grilled fish section on the menu, but not much of choice. There was only one fish, which was very boney. Most of the main dish options seemed on the heavy, greasy side, rather than healthy grilled.
The appetizers were wonderful especially the mussels and clam chowder.
We came one evening after I read many good reviews. We were not disappointed: the staff was super nice and the food was very good. I had the seafood chowder and it was outstanding, I ordered garlic bread and shrimp piri pure that was a little too hot for my tongue ahahah but was really good.
I would definitely come back there!
Good good, friendly service & great value. Definitely recommend
Nice meal, friendly staff, casual dinning at its best.
My husband and I booked a table here from reading the reviews on Tripadvisor and we weren’t disappointed! The ambience was lovely and had a cosy welcoming feel about it and the staff attentive and helpful. We both chose the fish medley which we really enjoyed. I had the Orio cheesecake which was delicious as was the Key Lime pie my husband chose. All in all I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant for food and atmosphere!
Not as good as last visit - portions were rather 'quaint'...had a special of ray on the previous visit which was excellent though so will be back and hoping for something similar next time around...
Good food and nice service!
Very disappointing meal. We had shrimp nachos which were covered in a weird cold white sauce. No shrimps to be seen. Black sole on the special board was like rubber and appeared to have been cooked earlier that day.
Good meal ! Service was really attentive.
A bit expensive from my point of view compared what was served...
The portion of the fish and chips was good and the mussels sauce was very good too. The ice cream is very creamy and tasty, I tried the honeycomb and was very pleasantly surprised. It was a nice meal.
This was our second time eating here.it was delicious we had scampi mine with salad my husband had chips we shared sourdough garlic bread.portions are generous I had wine my husband had Guinness he said it was as good as his local.i think the menu could be slightly bigger with maybe seafood pie,Salmon or sea bass on there, but overall it was fab and we’ll definitely be back
We liked the Fish Shack enough to go back a 2nd time on a 3 day trip. The ambience is good, the decor is quite “beach” and the service timely and cheerful. The food is generally excellent, we were unfortunate the 2nd time that a special described “grilled scallops” turned out to be with a Mornay sauce, as my wife has intolerance to cheese. Otherwise, 5* all round.
Family group, just delicious fresh fish well cooked.
Fresh food. Service from the two girls was 110%- couldn’t have looked after us better! Relaxed atmosphere (good music!). Will definitely go back! Made mother’s day for my mother.
