This is a really nice restaurant with very tasty food. The flavors are all excellent and the venue is really nice. Their giant green wall is amazing. The staff are friendly and drinks well made. This is our go to place for special occasions.

The food was really good. We had to wait a bit longer to get the table but it was totally worth it.

My new favorite! The food, so good. The service, so good. The bread with whipped ricotta and the greens and beans were 2 of our favorite dishes, but everything we had was delicious. Also everyone who works there is incredibly kind and super helpful.

Very expensive for overall experience not unhappy to have had the experience but the exorbitant cost will keep us from coming back. We paid almost as much for 4 at Butcher and Singer in Philadelphia as we did for 2 Friday night.

Very good food, especially the small plates. We always over ordered the small plates and became too full to judge the pasta fairly. Nicely decorated and plenty of parking spots.

This was literally the best food I've ever eaten in my life and for the price of your average Olive Garden dinner. You need to make a reservation to go but that means that you don't have to wait an hour at the door for a seat. It's now my favorite restaurant in all of Pittsburgh and I cannot wait to go again. Service was fantastic too. They made sure we were well taken care of without crowding our table.

I'm reading the other reviews and very confused. I absolutely LOVE Richard DeShantz restaurants so I was eager to try this one. Weirdly enough, the evening was not as I had envisioned it. We were greeted by a warm welcome. I thought, this is a good sign. Then, after we were seated, things went sour fast. Our dirty martini, which by the way, arrived a long time after our first appetizer, was very briney (looked dark green) and needed to send it back. Our crostini turned out to be a thick piece of toast,? calamari was so salty it was difficult to eat (sent it back too...), cauliflower was absolutely amazing!! and bronzini was not bad. I was expecting so much more and not the Valentine's day dinner I had been anticipating.

We went for our Valentine date night & we were not disappointed! I highly recommend to go hungry as everything is shareable & large portions. Get the ribeye for 2, you can get that & a pasta dish to share & be good! We got the mushroom antipasto (highly recommended), the calamari (a little spicy but large portion), ribeye & risotto. Next time we’d get just the mushrooms, ribeye & a pasta dish-that way maybe we would have room for dessert too!

First time, outstanding food and service!

It was the second time we visited Fish not Fowl and it was extremely disappointed. The first time was extremely satisfying but this one was not. The scampi was not my type, sauce is too buttery and heavy. The fried calamari is just average. The oxtail pasta we ordered is a complete disappointment, its smell is just too heavy. The lamb neck is fine, but I don’t like the combination of whipped cream and lamb. Lamb neck is already fat and heavy, whipped cream made it even worse. Won’t come again.

A fabulously robust menu offering supported by a varied and highly recommended wine list made this a delectable dinner with colleagues.

Overall our experience was good. The atmosphere and decor was creative and inviting. We had a small issue with our order. While our waiter was extremely knowledgable about the food and the wine list, we were a bit disappointed that he took it upon himself to course out our meal when that wasn't our intention and was left with cold pasta while waiting for our other entree. We would possibly go back, but with all the other options in the city, it will probably not be for a while.

What an incredible experience! The ambience and aesthetic was simple, elegant, and relaxing. The cocktails were forward and simple, matching the decor. However, the food was beyond simple; it was spectacular. Pasta and small plates were generous portions than one would normally imagine. The servers rocked- ours made the best suggestions. Everyone was very personable and genuine. Would recommend.

This place is delicious! We are big fans of sister restaurants Tako and Meat and Potatoes but I think this is our favorite! The whipped ricotta appetizer was one of the best things I have ever eaten. I have been thinking of it ever since Saturday. We also order 2 pasta dishes. The noodles tastes homemade and the sauces were to die for. We then split the lamb which had a sauce and that yummy whipped ricotta on it. I normally don't order lamb but I would order this dish again and again. For dessert we shared whichever dessert was the most chocolaty (I forget what it was called) and it hit the spot! I am already trying to think of an occasion to go back here. It is not the cheapest restaurant or I would go again this weekend. The prices are definitely worth it.

Our first time at Fish Nor Foul was an absolute dream. I have no doubt we will be back again soon. From the charisma and knowledge of our server, Jake, to the complexity and execution of each dish (we were especially fond of the rigatoni), we could not have been happier. Truly, Fish Nor Foul is a boon to the Pittsburgh culinary scene.

This was our second visit. Two of us ordered the same dish we had last time because it was so amazing. Well, sadly, it was not as good. The pasta dish (ravioli stuffed with white bean) was heavy with oil and had a too strong taste of herbs and the pasta was thick and chewy. The chicken parm was over-cooked and looked different from the first time. I will try this restaurant again in hopes that it was just an unlucky night.

This is a great restaurant with a subtle eclectic style. The menu was simple and spanned the taste of many pallets.

Best restaurant I've been to in Pittsburgh. Ambiance is beautiful, and the food was top notch. Pricey, so this may have to be a treat.
