Very slow service! The waiters very nice, friendly, always helpful with the food advices, but the kitchen way too slow, it took almost two hours to cook our entrees (
but the food was so delicious! perfect cooked risotto with scallops, sea bass was outstanding. Beautiful place, hope they will manage the food waiting time.
The ambience and the staff awareness and attention to detail was wonderful!! Food presentation was amazing! The food tasted great… The only problem was it was at room temperature instead of warm. I would definitely eat here again!
The setting was beautiful outside on a perfect morning. The food was excellent and the server was pleasant and efficient.
Good food, excellent friendly service great parking in rear of building.
It appears that there is a new chef at this restaurant. Quite frankly it is not anywhere as good as it used to be. In addition, the menu is half the size it was. Not anywhere near the numbers of entrees or appetizers they used to have. Lastly, two members of our party ordered the special, and at 7:15, and it was sold out.. really???
I’m very disappointed. We had a brunch for my extended family. Starting with the hostess at the front desk that was unprofessional. We had to ask her several times for a kids menu. She was dressed so that every time she seated a table we saw her underwear. Very unprofessional Our waitress was kind but stretched too thin. Food came out and it was disappointing. One had to be sent back. The eggs were supposed to be poached and they were hard-boiled yet cold. My guess is that they had came out and sat for a while and kept cooking and actually cooled. They made a new plate but by the time it came out everyone had long been finished. We were offered no discount or concession. It took several minutes to even wave my waitress down to tell her that the food was not prepared correctly. I really want to like fishmarket but my goodness it was a disappointment.
So sorry to hear that this was your experience! Management takes full responsibility for the lack of printed kids menus. The hostess is not accountable for printing menus. We apologize for your wait on those. We should have had more on hand for such a busy day. I hope that your replacement meal was cooked to your satisfaction and also apologize for the wait on it. I hate that you left disappointed and hope that you decide to give us another try.
Our server was great, very knowledgeable, and other staff very attentive. People who weren’t even our server would take away empty glasses and offer another the moment the glass was empty without prompt. No complaints about staff, they are great. Very pretty place to dine, but dinner took very long. We know a lot of places have been short staff and that probably has something to do with it. It took over an hour to receive our dinner. Food was great, but took so long to arrive. I’ve ordered take out from here and it’s never taken that long.
Not as great as I thought it would be. They were out of calamari at 7 pm on a Saturday night. Gumbo was cold. Took so long to get appetizers it was a little ridiculous. Kale salad came with no kale so they redid it.
My husband scallop dinner had 3 scallops
Won’t go back here any time soon
very good facilty- very good food and service. will definitely go back to the fish market again.
Emily our server was spectacular. We sat outside on the side patio it was a great experience.
We love the Fish Market but this was our first time dining outside. The weather was beautiful, the ambiance top notch but the seating was VERY uncomfortable. The tables are a little small of parties of four. Our party kept bumping knees and stepping on feet. Won't be dining outside again unless it is just the hubby and me. There was a mix up with the our soup. When tasted it I immediately knew that I was serviced Cream of Aspargus verses Shecrap. I asked the waiter if they had cream of asparagus being served and he told me that they indeed did and I said I think I was served this by accident. He came back and told me that that I was tasting the celery they put in the she crap. I just let it go. The thing is if they mixed up the soups and served seafood to someone with seafood allegies that would have and could have been very bad. Own up to your mistakes in service in the future. Thank you
We have only been here once for dinner (we had a great time). For our anniversary, we decided to do brunch here. We sat outside which set a very quaint, southern charm atmosphere. The food was very good. I had the egg benedict crab cakes. I am a little picky about crab cakes but these are my new favorite. They were completely filled with crab meat instead of the breading and other ingredients. My husband ordered a bloody mary which I usually do not order because I have had some unfortunate mixtures. After trying his, I ordered one. I am looking forward to coming here again.
My new favorite spot to have lunch with Clients and Partners! Their market salad is phenom!
We are always pleased with our experiences at the Fish Market. The soups are well executed. The menu items are quite tasty. My only criticism is that they need to develop their dessert menu a little more.
We had Sunday Brunch outside. I was hot but we were in the shade and between 2 fans so no problem. They have redone the outside dining area this year and it is very well done. Thank you Fish Marketeers.
Very nice restaurant with excellent service. Food was very good. I would suggest the Chilean sea bass!
The food was wonderful! That char grilled oyster appetizer was sooooooo delicious
Very nice as always
Fish Market never disappoints! Food is consistently good and good value. Service is great!
We enjoy this restaurant, but sometimes the service is better than other times. When you get that perfect experience and then go back, and it’s less than stellar, it just makes for a disappointing outing. The food was great as always!
Alexis was very attentive without be intrusive. Great service.
Top go to spot for delicious seafood. Great menu choices but alway go back to my favorite...she crab soup and Shrimp and Grits...
Lunch date with some girlfriends
Their service is just slow. No two ways about it. Been there a few times and the food takes a long time. You just have to accept it.
It’s almost a positive as opposed to places that rush you along. But it’s a little too long. I live in Baxter and go all the time. It’s just the way it is.
Food is solid
Great service, wonderful food and drinks. Best restaurant in Ft Mill
Overall it was less than impressive. Everything was just ok. Average at best. Our table was in a weird spot and service took forever but it wasn’t that busy.
We have been Fish Market regulars for at least a year and have always had great food and great service. We have noticed the last few visits (over the past 2-3 months) has not been up to the same standard. The food has been ok but not great and we've had to wait longer and longer for our table though we always make reservations. We were told during our last visit August 6, 2021 that there is a new chef and it was noticeable. The food was but not great, not worth what we paid. We will return but are in no hurry to do so.
As always food was spectacular, service was exceptional and the homemade dessert was out of this world. The new outdoor space was perfectly imagined and luxurious. Minus the flys during the sunset, it was a perfect evening!
Emily, our server was fantastic! We brought friends with us here for their first time and they loved it and can't wait to go back. Food and service was excellent! Two of us order the crab bisque and it came out piping hot. Which should be the norm, but usually that doesn't happen when the soup comes out hot!. lol! We will be back!
good dinner and service
good value for the experience
The service was so incredibly slow. We were seated at 530 and didn’t leave until 745. The portions were very small and way overpriced, once they finally came out. The waitress forgot one of our desserts. When asked if we’d still like it, we said only if it’s going to be fast. She assured us that it would. It took another 15 minutes for the cheesecake to come out. There were no apologies or explanations for the delay on every single thing. We will not be returning.
With only few patio tables the service is pretty slow and at lunch time - business lunches usually need to get moving
Food was excellent but seemed pricey, given so salads or bread/rolls provided with dinner. Server was fine but service was slow, don't think it was her fault. First time eating there since Covid and was slightly disappointed. Will be awhile before I go back.
Service and ambience were excellent. We weren't totally happy, however, with our food. Three people in our party ordered French Toast from the brunch menu. Each order included two pieces of toast; two of us were given one regular slice of bread and one end slice from the bread loaf. I have never seen that done before. Two of us ordered the shrimp and grits. For the price of this dish we expected to see more than half a bowl of shrimp and grits. This was our first time at this restaurant. We were a little disappointed but may try it again.
Very good meal, good service, just a little pricey but used a gift card that covered it.
Very popular place. Food was just average, at best. Service was good and friendly.
We love fish market and this is unusual for me to give low stars. We will be back but send private message.
Normally service is amazing and food as well.
Please save your money. Food was terrible, way overpriced, waited over an hour for our food. I know restaurants are struggling right now but if I am going to spend $200 for dinner, my expectations are high. The manager ended up comping some of our bill but she should have taken care of all of it. Would never, ever go back and I don’t understand them having any good reviews. Maybe it was an off night but again, all of our food was terrible.
Sorry to hear this. While we have been navigating extreme challenges, we know that some guests' experiences have been lacking. Overall, feedback has been that the waits are long but food is good. We apologize that you did not enjoy your dinner.
We loved the food…
We will definitely be back
Very well prepared food and great wait staff. We sat on the veranda.
