Bit pricey but great location & fabulous food, service & wine list.
Outstanding happy hour menu.
This was expensive and totally worth it. It was awesome. The flavors of the food were just amazing in every bite.
Excellent food. Best service. Great live music. Perfect ambience. Couldn’t have asked for a better night to celebrate birthdays and an anniversary
This was an outstanding experience and meal. We dined with Damien and he was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and personable. We would go back again just to dine with Damien alone. We had one of the half-fish dishes and it was incredible. Prior to this meal, we spent three weeks in New Zealand (known for their seafood) and this seafood dish was the best we had all trip. We will be back when we visit Ko Olina. The live music was 10/10 as well. The musician played beautiful acoustic songs - everything from the top charts to 90s R&B.
Somewhat underwhelmed. Price points to be expected as it’s a Four Seasons. Signature phyllo crusted butterfish a somewhat glorified fish and no chips. Accompaniments lack flavor - too much salt everywhere. Atmosphere is excellent, sunset somewhat hidden behind trees.
The food was very good with the exception of my mother’s pork chop which was very chewy, however the wait staff made it correct and replaced it with a different meal!
it was very good restaurant which is easy to access from Aulani disney resort as well. taste was very good for us and atmosphere was cozy. and my two years old son also seemed to be satisfied with dishes of kids menu. he ate up everything.
Exquisites, exceptional service and food. The restaurant has an incomparable view on the beach at Ko Olina. Terrific atmosphere. The right place for a special occasion.
I am a repeat customer. I think Ninas is a great spot on the beach. The wait staff are excellent and attentive. The food quality is excellent, well prepared and presented beautifully.
Last night on Oahu after 12 days on vacation. My daughter and I decided to splurge. The fish sommelier helped us select some options to share. Typically when sharing we end up hungry, but not at Mina’s. Fabulous fish! Creamed corn was delicious and the veggie sides that came with the fish were good too. Very happy with the experience, service, and tastes.
I went there on Sunday with my client and the food took forever to come out. We ordered salad and poke as appetizer but we didn’t get them without waiting for 40 min even it wasn’t busy at all.
The poke bowl I had was extremely spicy and salty. Living in Hawaii I have tried so many pokes but it was the spiciest and saltiest one ever. I tried a few bites and couldn’t eat anymore. Our server never asked how the food was so I had to tell her the issue when she tried to take away my barely eaten poke. She asked me “do you want another one? “ with attitude ruined whole experience and I really regret that I took my client there for lunch.
They have a deal on lunch but I didn’t see it on the menu. When I asked her about it she looked unhappy. You can find it online to get a good deal so if you don’t mind your server gives you some attitude you should check it out.
My fish and chip sandwich was ok but nothing memorable. Would I come back for lunch? Absolutely not. I’d still come back for happy hour and dinner to enjoy the spectacular view.
Delicious food, substantial portions. Service was very slow.
Try the Lobster pot pie, extraordinary
Great for Japanese too
Wonderful ambiance! I loved the tea lights, and the indoor/outdoor seating facing the water. We enjoyed the live music in the background that was loud enough to hear but not loud to the point where you couldn't have a conversation. The best part of our meal was the complimentary pita bread and spreads! We loved all three of the different spreads including a humus, tzatziki sauce, and Tapenade.
Before I go on, let me say that I really wanted to love this restaurant. We are big fans of fresh fish so I thought I should order fish, I wish I would've gone with my gut and got the Alaskan King Crab Linguine. For starters we ordered the Smoked Marlin dip. It was tasteless and had the texture of a tuna dip that I make at home. The dish was saved by the taro chips. For entrees we got the Phyllo-Crusted Hawaiian Butterfish and the Black Garlic & Miso Black Cod. I was excited for a fried crispy/flakey crust with a moist cooked butterfish inside. I was also excited about the King Crab ‘Brandade’. I could not taste any crab flavor in the sauce and the fish felt overcooked and dry. Honestly, it felt like a very expensive fish and chips (didn't exactly taste like butterfish). When we finished our entrees we waited for over twenty minutes for someone to clear our plates. After waiting so long we decided against desert.
Again, I really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere and the menu are appealing but I felt like it fell short and felt like a restaurant that will succeed on tourism proximity and ambiance.
Food is very salty
Waiters serving us was very bad
Did not pick up dishes after we eat
Bread came after I asked.
But other waiter who was not helping was excellent. We compare our waiters to him.
We had 4 adults at dinner, two of us celebrating a significant anniversary, and two celebrating birthdays.
We had reservations and were seated promptly at the outer perimeter of the outdoor seating. If it had been summer, we might have had an amazing sunset view, but in winter we were too late for sunset. Our server was very good, perhaps not the best we have had. Service cadence was good - no big lags, but enough time to enjoy something before moving on to the next.
All of the food was excellent. We had 2 apps (poke and squid) and burrata salad. We split two entrees for the four of us, the yellowfin with seared foie gras and crusted butterfish. We purchased one bottle of chardonnay. And we ordered two desserts - chocolate semifreddo and lime chiffon cake.
The cost was pretty high, which would be expected for a great seafood restaurant on Oahu. Expect to spend $150 to $200 per person if having apps, wine, and an entrée to yourself.
But only if they are comfortable with a very high price point of food. Food was nice, but not over the top. Location was great, and service was 10 star.
This is our second trip to Mina's. We had a light but utterly delicious dinner of bisque, ahi app (split) and avocado salads. Service was terrific. Next time in the area, we will be back, and look forward to visiting during Happy Hour.
The media half a fish portion was not scaled sufficiently. My wife and I both had the same experience, so it was apparent that there were too many scales left on during preparation.
Incredible experience, food, staff, ambiance
Hidden gem on the West side! If you don’t want to deal with the hustle and bustle of the city, and extract only the good parts (i.e. quality, service, ambiance) combined with the tranquility and privacy of a resort, then Mina’s is a must!
The food is on par (better IMHO) with many of Michael Mina’s award winning restaurants, and the seafood is top notch giving my San Francisco tastebuds a run for the money.
Amazing food! Exceptional service; as usual! Can’t beat the location. Great ambiance with the lighting, background music, and of course the water. You have to try the Cauliflower appetizer!
Great food selections. The lobster pork is their signature dish a must try. It was amazing. The maui oil dip with the tara chip were delicious. The stripe steak was also perfect and melted in your mouth. Service was very friendly and attentive. A must try if you here.
Couldn't decide on a starter so the restaurant comped us with one of them. Both were delicious. Dinner was very good, service was very good, wine was expensive but also very good. It was a great evening. We'll be back for next year.
Layout of tables is strange. They seated us one foot away from the doorway where waithelp go in and out of kitchen. Server was nice, but didn't seem like she knew what to do (no training?). Service was extremely slow (took 2.5 hours and we didn't have appetizers or much in the way of drinks). The food was tasty but way, way overpriced (over $100/person). The drinks were outrageous ($17/glass for so, so wines). Plus it felt as if they spent more time being nice to the tourists, than the local clientele. Considering we had a large group (7) and spent a considerable amount of money, the experience was FAIR at best. We do not plan to return ... and we out a lot.
We live less than 1 mile from Ko Olina, and when we have special guests, we always take them to Mina's Fish House for for a culinary experience. And it's always a big success.
We always love going here for a cosy dinner for two. Great hospitality, amazing food and wine selection, and a perfect sunset. Highly recommended. Book before you go.
Everything was done very well. Waitress was great and chefs prepared some amazing food. View and musician were very nice additions to the night.
Amazing in every way. You won’t be disappointed
Beautiful location, on the beach. Staff was very friendly and made our time there feel special. Food was amazing, drinks were great. A beautiful dinner.
Outstanding food. They even have a fish sommelier! Who would have thought. Food was terrific and the ambiance on the beach is terrific!
It's a must visit if you're in Ko Olina.
We came for a delicious Non traditional Thanksgiving dinner and we got more than expected. A wonderful oceanside experience. Recommend the Lobster Pot Pie and the seafood tower with smoked marlin, the Taro chips, and Cod dish!! Can’t say enough!
We celebrated my Wife’s birthday. Overall experience was GREAT!
