Seafood
Mina’s Fish House reimagines the Hawaiian fish house theme by combining the seafood bounty direct from pristinely clear Hawaiian waters. James Beard Award-Winning Chef Michael Mina brings the line-to-table philosophy to the restaurant where every dish is “as good as we can make it.” Menu highlights include Kona Cold Lobster & Coconut Bisque, Hawaiian Abalone Spaghetti and a few classic fish dishes from Chef Mina’s repertoire such as his signature Ahi Tuna Tartare reimagined as a contemporary poke, the celebrated Lobster Pot Pie and Phyllo-Crusted fish with crab brandade.

It was a wonderful Vslentine’s celebration for the 4 of us, from beginning to end. This is our third consecutive Valentines there & have never been disappointed.

This was our first time at Mina's Fish House. We enjoyed the food and the service was awesome. The general manager also came by the table and introduced himself and asked if we needed anything. I would recommend Mina's to anyone. We really enjoyed it. Thank you.

The Tuna and pan seared foie gras was so delicious! The phyllo encrusted butter fish was also wonderful. It was cold and windy so they were very accommodating and moved us ( and about 10 other tables) inside. They did it seamlessly and with a smile.

SERVICE: It was top-notch from beginning to end. Keeping my water filled goes a long way in my book. And each person's that approached us was pleasant. They've had proper hospitality training it seems.

FOOD: Duck fat fries, taro chips + dip, calamari, fried rice--all for appetizers/sides. These were all good, not over salted or overcooked. Lobster pot pie and Phyllo crusted butterfish--main entrees. For me, the lobster pot pie was great, but not $95 great. My friend said her butterfish was good but that she liked the fried rice the most out of all the items we ordered.

AMBIANCE: Relaxed. We requested ocean view table and got just that (but really anywhere on that outer terrace is a win). Even on the upper terrace you can't lose. Some were dressed casual, some dressy casual.

VALUE: I don't think anyone comes to eat or stay at a Four Seasons property when they're on a budget. It's pricy for the budget traveler.

Final Answer: If you're here to vacation, darn be the bank account, stop by and grab a few bites.

We ate here 4 out of 5 nights on our trip. Every meal was excellent, we tried different items every night, and everything was amazing. Service was excellent- inside, outside, at the bar- 10 across the board. Jaw dropping view, very laidback vibe. Perfect place to unwind.

It’s a beautiful venue! Spectacular views. The dinner menu isn’t served until five even though they have 4:30 reservations. And don’t let you look at the menu till five o’clock which would normally be fine but with an angry two year old not the best. We ordered off the HH menu which was decent but only one real food option. The dinner menu is very expensive. Slow wait staff but they were kind.

The kitchen doesn't know how to control oil temperature. The calamari was perhaps the worst I've ever had - greasy, and the batter was overcooked to a chocolate brown color. One would expect a restaurant that specializes in seafood would know how to deep fry calamari. My wife's entrée was good. Wine list is overpriced for this type of restaurant. Ambiance was extremely noisy. I had anticipated a pleasant meal in a nice atmosphere, but it was more like being in a cafeteria. I won't be returning.

We had a most wonderful evening at Mina's Fish House -- it's a lovely setting, with a great view of the ocean. We were a party of four, and we all had a different fish item from the menu -- my sea bass was fabulous, and as it was a whole fish, it was a more than generous serving, and done to perfection. My husband and our friends felt the same about their selections. The service was perfect -- very attentive but not overly intrusive, and we received personal attention from Thomas, the general manager of the restaurant, who was gracious, welcoming and helpful. After our meal, we took our coffee down to the fire pit on the level just below where we'd eaten. The night air was chilly, and sitting around the fire pit was the perfect way to end our meal and evening there. While on the pricey side, we all know you get what you pay for and this experience was top notch, worth every penny. We can't recommend it highly enough!

I was very disappointed in this restaurant. While the restaurant was relatively busy, it was not completely full yet our service was slow at best. Given the prices (very expensive) I had expected top notch food and service. And i got neither. What was listed on the menu as Phyllo crusted Butterfish really appeared to be deep fried local fish. Two of our group ordered coconut meringue for dessert. The meringue was hard as a rock and had about the same flavor. I note that the children's mac & cheese was tasty per my granddaughter. For a Four Seasons Resort, this restaurant is a complete dud, nay, a rip off. Sorry to post such a negative review. If you're in Ko Olina, skip Michael Mina. Head to Roy's Ko Olina. Now that was superb!!!!

This is definitely my favorite restaurant in Ko Olina! The view of the lagoon, ocean and sunsets is spectacular! The food is incredibly delicious!!! My favorites that I highly recommend are the Black Garlic & Miso Black Cod, Brick Pressed Chicken, Mina's Lobster Pot Pie, Coconut Cream Corn, Crispy Caulifower, Garlic & Duck Fat French Fries, and Pork Fried Rice. These are the dishes that I have enjoyed so far and I will definitely be returning to try more!

The food was extremely greasy. Price of half a fish and rice $80!? The menu mentions the food is enough for 2 to 3 people. I asked the server how big is the fish? She mentioned “large”. The fish needed up at best 12 inches!!!

The fries were cold and had to be sent back.

Great location, very good service. Food very disappointing. Weird preparation witb mismatched flavors, $52 for 6oz portof fish with 4, yes 4 gummy little gnocchi. Bring the food and value level up to service and location. Use Hula Grill as a model.

We came for happy hour. I had made reservations. We have been coming for 2 /3 years. We were always offered the lower level every visit. This time we were told we could not sit below. So we were offered a table in the direct sun. Knowing this we will only come for dinner on a special occasion. Our bill came to 150.00 which was drinks and appetizers. The price is no problem, it was being told to sit in direct sun when tables down below had shade. Not a 5 star !

Great food, excellent service, very attentive & surprised us with special desert in celebration of our anniversary. Only downside was that due to rain, normal seating was limited and our table was placed in an area where we had to use lights on cell phones to read menu. That’s fine if all tables have limited lighting creating an ambience, but all other tables seemed to have adequate lighting.
